The lyrics are a highlight but some songs are just obviously not to quality standard like for example the run and go. Songs like ode to sleep, migraine, and trees are incredibly well written, but Trench is TOPs magnum opus. It pushes the most boundaries the band has ever pushed, reinvents the wheel every song, the production sounds incredible, Joshes drums sound so colorful, unique, and have so much personality, he is really felt as a second member of the band this album more than any other. Its a much more artistic, mature and moodier experience. It's incredible that they can seamlessly blend huge genre shifts like Jumpsuit to levitate. The incredibly introspective and important topics discussed in neon grave stone combined with that Midnight Sonata piano and the ambient screeches In the bridge. The Incredibly experimental electronic ending of pet cheetah. Tylers voice and his flow has evolved so much on this record. This is actually the record it took them the longest to make and it shows. every other album they spent a year creating but trench took double that. Anyways I highly suggest you listen to In Rainbows by Radiohead :)
btw i dont think you should change the chords, but just the sound of whats already there and make it sound like trench adding like you did here the reversed vocals etc, the double robotic vocals that tyler uses and maybe adding melodies to the chords like the band did with hds

How did you get the vocals with none of the music in the background?
There’s a bunch of programs/apps you can use to isolate vocals, something as simple as Voloco on your phone could work fairly well for free.
