That is on a friends private land so it's not really a open to the public park unfortunately. We normally go play at Tuttle creek in Manhattan, KS, or Disney off-road park in Disney, OK, or Kansas Rocks park near Fort Scott, KS. Thanks for the view!
On the silver jeep(well, both since they're 4.7's), was it the quadra trac II transfer case that was swapped for the selec trac? The 4.7's came with the dana 44A rear differential, we're the transfer cases a direct swap? Or did you have to change drive shafts or other parts? I have an '04 wj, 4.7 quadra trac II, I would like to swap to selec trac. Great video, thanks for the info.
Yes both Jeep's originally had the 247J Quadra trac tcases in them and both have been swapped out for the V8 select track 242HD tcases. You will also need the rear driveshaft for the 242HD since the splines are larger, and finally the shifter so the pattern is correct. Here is a video of the tcase we found for the silver Jeep. th-cam.com/video/DBQpW4XEqXU/w-d-xo.html
@@TylerPotter again, thanks for the info. The end of the drive shaft to the rear axle (dana 44hd) matches? I've heard of them being different size U-joints.
@@Daytona-fr7fx the drive shaft bolted right up to the rear dana 44A that is in both of these WJ's I'm not sure off hand if the dana 35 in some of the 4.0L jeep's is a smaller u-joint drive shaft or not?
Thank you for this video I actually just bought a WJ for a really good price it’s a Laredo but it has the four. 7 L high out put motor in it the select truck transfer case and leather seats the infinity audio heated seats it’s a pretty nice example for a Laredo. I wanted to put those JK wheels that you have on both those jeeps on mine but I wasn’t sure how it would look I actually I’m really impressed I took a set of 255/75R 17‘s off my JLU that are in pretty good shape and I wanted to get another set of 17‘s to throw on the WJ what size tire did you put on this jeep why is it bigger than this? Thank you again for the video it’s really great keep up the good work
I'm on the hunt for a WJ and since the selec trac system was only available for v6 4.0s vehicles, should I look straight for them? Is there a big difference between quadra and selec? Gonna be my first off-road car.. Thanks
The parts cost will vary depending on location. Our local pick and pull salvage yard I believe it was around $150 for the transfer case plus the shifter. The labor was free since we did it our self. Thanks for the view!
With some lift and some nice looking all-season tires I bet you could still have a blast out in the dirt with it! It would also look better on road, Thanks for the view!
Both of them have UpCountry option Jeep springs and 2in rough country steel spacers. So roughly 3in lift over a stock "non-upcountry" Jeep WJ. Thanks for the view!
@@robgunderson929 Nice, I bought new MOOG replacement UpCountry springs, the Rough Country 2in spacers, new upper and lower MOOG replacement spring isolators and a set of Bilstein 5100 shocks and a rear ball joint spacer. It works great off-road and rides really well on-road.
@@serjkeshish7 You can easily put 33's on it with a 2 in budget boost lift and get some Bilstein shocks . You'll do a lot of cutting both front and back fenders tho. Also you'll need to pound back the pinch weld behind the front tire.
I like this part of the trail at 2:47 but I would have liked it even more if it was all in the water. 😁
Nice video and I like WJs! ❤
I got suck in deep water a few trips ago lol I'm scared of water now! Thanks for the view!
Nice jeeps. I have a 2004 overland myself. That transfer case swap is a excellent idea. Can you please tell me where is that park located?

There are quite a few V8's with selec trac also. But the 4.0 will probably be a lot less fragile of a motor. Thanks for the view!
How much was it to switch out the transfer case to a Select trac...

And locker and winch. You should be capable for the easier stuff
Are those stock rims and headlights?
Stock headlights on both and we run 17" Jeep Wrangler JK Sport wheels for our off-road set up with 255/75R17 tires. Thanks for the view!
Where is this place located? I'd love to go there.
It is some private land in Kansas he has talked about opening it up to the public in the future but not yet. Thanks for the view!

What size tyres mate
