    Clearest, most concisely explained paper piecing video I've seen to date. All in a little more than 8 min! Was super confused before watching this because most folks want to add in their tips and tricks or shortcuts while teaching to someone who doesn't even grasp the concept yet. Not good. Thank you so much for simply explaining the process!

      I believe this is one of the better ones I have seen, and I will refer to this when I get my foundation paper in the mail. you have a good clear speaking voice and good teaching skills for this subject.

    I've been terrified to even think about paper piecing until I found a pattern I loved and fabric to die for.....the instructions in the pattern were frightening and I looked around until I found your video....thank you SO MUCH for making paper piecing not something to run away from! :)

    Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow tutorial! I have MANY of these paper and muslin foundation piecing patterns but had forgotten how to sew them! This should help a lot!

    Thanks for the tut! I love paper piecing, but do it so infrequently I have to relearn it each time. You made it so simple. Can't wait to see the more complex block.

    I am so glad to see you do this technique. I bought a project and no where in the instructions did they even talk about 1/4" seam allowance or folding the paper. My opinion until today was "this was a total waste of 💰". I will find the kit and do it! Thank you so much!

    I've only been quilting for two years now, mostly strip quilting. Always been curious about paper piecing but it always looked hard. Thanks for this video, I think I can handle it now!

    So the paper stays on all of the blocks until you put them together to form the quilt top? That means stitching through two fabric layers and two paper layers, right? And thanks for the video!

    Ms Jennifer, is that glue stick just an off the shelf "Elmer's or a special fabric glue? Thank you for the tutorial. I'm new at paper piecing, however, I feel I can do this. Well.....I'm hopeful.

    I purchased a paper piecing pattern/kit on Etsy And I’m still very new to paper piecing so if I were to email you the pattern could you do me the favor of doing a TH-cam video showing how to cut fabric and make paper piecing that I have the pattern for I would appreciate it

    Dumb question but does the paper stay on the back?

    • @jennifermathis8919
      @jennifermathis8919  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a dumb question at all. I suggest leaving the paper on until you piece all of your blocks together then tear it out gently. :)

    lot of wasted fabric. just cut the shapes and sew them together, geez, why use paper? don't make sense besides it ruins needles
