OH chillin' in Florida sounds wonderful! We usually haul our camper from Maine to the Florida Keys in April. Missed our trip this year due to COVID. Thanks for sharing. Love you guys. PS Can't wait to make our way back down to FL again! Your candy store portion, cracked me up! Once a kid always a kid...who doesn't like a good candy store. Hope you have a wonderful trip.
Thanks a bunch. So far, beach life in St. Augustine looks to be returning to normal. Few masks here and there. People are cautious, but fun abounds. Sorry to hear the trip was interrupted this year. Joan and I too had to cancel a big trip out west. Maybe next year. And the candy store? Too much fun! Had a sugar buzz for 2 days 😏
The wife and I stayed at the KOA in early June. The weather wasn't the best but we made the best of it with our 15 month old daughter. We spent time on Crescent Beach and a few restaurants. We felt like the restaurants did pretty well to distance everyone and St Augustine wasn't packed with people at the time but I figure if the weather is good for you it will probably get more packed. Hope you enjoy your stay!
Thanks a bunch Zach. Still a bit of a moving target as to what areas have restrictions. The beach areas seem to be generally open for business. We were here the first week of June. It was a daily gully washer, but has been great since.
Finally got around to trying this coffee. On can #2 Love this coffee. I’m addicted. My mother is a fan as well. I can’t wait to have a cup first thing in the morning and after dinner. Thx for sharing
Make sure you eat at O’Steen’s for great fried shrimp or oysters! If you like garlic stuffed olives, the best I’ve ever eaten are available at the Olive Oil store on the south side of that park at the southern end of the main pedestrian street through the historic area. The Columbian restaurant is also a good place to eat. Other places we enjoy are the distillery and their restaurant and Harry’s Seafood Bar and Grill. Whetstone Chocolates has a nice little tour of their factory and they have a shop adjacent to it. I don’t know what’s open or closed right now, but the Lightner Museum is worth a visit.
You’ve filmed some great stuff over the years, but you just melted my heart with the Cafe Bustello montage!! Looking forward to the next several mornings joining you in the “early riser” club!
Don't tell anyone, but if you want the BEST shrimp that you have ever had, go to Osteens. It is a local"s favorite although the word has gotten out. The minorcan clam chowder is out of this world! Also another one of our favorites, a more upscale restaurant is Caps on the Water; outstanding and right on the water. Enjoy!
OHMYGOSH we LOVE Saint Augustine, but we've never camped there. I don't know if Gary will ever agree to pulling our camper that far (we're in WV), but who knows...maybe I can talk him into it after watching your video! Take care!

We went into St. Augustine today. Big change since the video was recorded. A number of restaurants had opened. Be patient when you come. Service may be a little slower than normal. Many of the restaurants had to hire new staff due to loss during the shutdown.
Thanks Jerry. I Always enjoy your travels. We've been to St Augustine many times since it's about 2.5 hours from our house. Haven't camped in that area yet.
Hi David. If you get the opportunity you should give it a try, we love Ocean Grove. The whole JNeal crew has arrived and we’re getting ready to take over the Hurricane Grill. Beach day tomorrow.

I can see you guys are having great time. Not to many margaritas. Well then again how many is to many in Florida? Lol. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your stay.
Hey Jer, good video. Remind me of when I was stationed at the Navy Station Jacksonville (JAX) and Mayport. Nice areas. I really missed them now. Will definitely go back with my trailer. What is the price at this campground? I normally don't camp at private grounds because of too close for comfort. I prefer state/national parks/forests, BLM, and military campgrounds.
You’re making me hungry for candy. I think I’ll order some Aplets and Cotlets on Amazon. I love those and they don’t have any chocolate. They’re made in Washington state so it’s hard to find them in the south.
