    So cute! I always say no to a pattern, and then here you come and say, "This is why it's a yes..." 😅😂😂😂 Absolutely perfect ❤

      Hey, Tea. Lol. Aww. Thank you so so much. That is so sweet. I hope you give this pattern a try. It’s easy to make, and very comfortable. I like that they included a t-shirt in this pattern. That definitely comes in handy if you want to wear it under the dress since the armholes are a bit low. Thanks again.

    Beautiful. I think that the bodice for the wider top is made for sleeves and the other one for sleeveless. But I think it looks great on you.

    • @rmorine6394
      @rmorine6394 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was going to say the same thing. Sleeveless bodices are cut slightly differently.

    • @like2sew181
      @like2sew181 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rmorine6394 Yeah. The armhole is smaller on a sleeveless top so that things like the bra doesn’t show. 👍🏾

    I'm currently stuck on attaching the top to the bottom and I'm so appreciative of how you showed how you did it because the pattern does not explain clearly! I'm still unsure of how to make sure my gathers don't ungather when I run it through the machine though. Every time I've tried they flatten even with pins. 😅

    • @Manecoarse
      @Manecoarse  20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I’m so glad you’re making this dress and that the video has been helpful. I love that. Here’s one way I like to do gathers that hopefully will also be helpful. I think the key is keeping your basting stitches secure as you sew the final stitch. You can check out this video th-cam.com/video/JqeEvxEo3yM/w-d-xo.html

    Such a nice summer pattern. It's nice fitting on you as well. A jumpsuit or shorts/ Kakki pants with any extra material you may have would be cute on you too. I may be misspelling a word, but you get it I know. Keep up the enjoyable work I enjoy seeing. Love Auntie Irene

    One trick, when buying fabric at the store is to photograph the bolt end with your phone, when at a chain store like JoAnn, so you have the fabric composition to take home.

      @@Manecoarse You're welcome! And I learned this the hard way. I don't even live in the US, nobody I know there sews so I couldn't even commission them to go back and find out, LOL! As they say in my country "bay kou, bliye, pote mak, sonje" (you forget the bruises, but not the scars).

    I made the twice, once in denim for a jumper dress and with seersucker in the sleeve version. I love this pattern . The only issue is the low underarm but that could be fixed. I’ve also made the tshirt.

    • @Manecoarse
      @Manecoarse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh, nice. Making this in denim is a great idea. I bet that’s really cute with seersucker in the sleeves. Yes. The low underarm can definitely be fixed. I love this pattern too. I can definitely see myself making this again, and the included t-shirt is also a nice addition to this pattern.

    I love how this dress fits! I was hesitant about buying the pattern because I was worried about looking shapeless but it truly doesn't have that vibe going on when you see it made up. When I make will look at the armhole situation, that is the only thing I might change also, guessing also fabric weight will impact in terms of the shape. Love your choice of fabric too.

      @Manecoarse Now I'm thinking that I could definitely wear this as a summer dress! And I ironed it while I was making it; the fabric recovered its texture in the wash.
      Good luck on the wedding guest outfit... can't wait to see what you make next!
