In this video, an unqualified worker wanders through a non-OSHA compliant workplace and fails to follow proper lock out/ tag out procedures.
Weyland-Yutani has listed her as unemployable at this time.
If Geoff Ramsey were playing this, he'd be walking backwards the whole time. For reference, see Let's Watch: PT.
***** It happened to me as I was trying to do something in one of the computers. Scared me so bad I had to stop playing for a bit. Apparently, it also happens when you're trying to hack into shit as well.
Let's also not overlook the fact that it follows you into vents and sometimes if you don't make it in the vents in time it drags your ass back out.
Elle Gee And it also hides in the upper vents, and will follow your movement if you start running, and as soon as a you walk under an open vent, it drags you up.
*Looks at thumbnail of Joel & Adam screaming* This is gonna be good xD
I'd say this is a pretty good game. It's really a blast for the first couple hours, and from watching someone else beat the game from start to finish, I'd say it's quite fun, except for that the game needs to end like 3 hours earlier, because after a certain point it just gets repetitive and starts to drag on after enough time, and the ending was pretty crappy. They did an excellent job of creating the environment and Alien-esc atmosphere and making it so that the Alien is randomly lurking around every time which may surprise you from the places it appears.
Other then that, I'd definitely say it's a solid game! Love the Alien movies, so I had to watch the game :)
There is also kinect support. IE if you talk or scream, you alert other aliens. For those who didn't see the video.
*****
I'd say you are wrong on that one, the aliens were never created by the predators for sport, the alien queen in 2004's avp they captured and used for breeding xeno's they could hunt, they never created her. The predator's travel around looking for dangerous prey to hunt, and they came upon the arguably greatest one in the Xenomorphs. The Xeno's are however not created by either the redators nor engineers :)
***** Wow. You are no doubt one of the most gracious and accepting purple in TH-cam comments, you accepted the you were not wrong without anything. You deserve a high five. Sorry that I cannot provide the for you please accept this emoji high five✋
yeah the game was kinda long but the positives do outweigh the negatives.. CA did a fantastic job in recreating the Aliens Universe. As for bad AI im sure that will be fixed in later patches. Also future DLC i cant wait to try it out... BTW have any of you tried the crew expendablesDLC?
In no way should people feel bad about being scared over a video game, people get scared of movies all the time, in a game YOU ARE IN CONTROL. You are the one making things happen, it isnt like that in a movie.
***** No you should feel bad because you're not even a main character on your own youtube profile
***** You must have massive massive balls, I mean balls the size of the sun after it turns into a red giant. How do you manage to exist with such massive balls? My tiny tiny balls cower at the meer thought of your immense sack of balls.
Nah its a base fear of the unknown that every human who isn't a psychopath has to a greater or lesser degree - a basic survival mechanism we've all got, even those who call people a pussy for being 'afraid of fake things'.
Dan Smith yes its psychopathy not being scared of virtual squares arranged in a humanoid shape
OMG, that ending. I just lost it. lmfao. I love them.
I've missed these Adam and Joel let's plays. Whenever they play a scary game it's fantastic.
An hour long video with Joel and Adam, playing Alien Isolation. Well... I can die happy.
God i love Joel and Adam so much. There's just something about their different ways of talking that makes them super fun to listen too.
I think these are my favorite episodes, when Adam and Joel play horror games lol
Watching the whole thing was worth it for the last few minutes.
Joel's face at 1:08:30 is the best. It just clearly says, "Nope. Nope, I don't want to do this. I don't want to be here. Nope. Nope."
"Anytime you're near a cone, you're in danger"
"PROTECT ME CONE!"
ALL THE YES but in all honesty he was in danger cause of Tex so Joels point stands
Will watch tonight, love these long and scary Let's Plays with Joel and Adam.
Laughing so hard at Adam screaming that I started farting. Oh man!
I know, right? XD At first, I thought it was the alien but when I looked at Adam and realized he was overloading the freakin sound capture, I was just dying! 😂
LOL Adam: "So, what do you wanna do here?
Joel: Quit... I wanna quit.
The ending scared the shit out of me, not the game, no, the fucking audio
The ending of the vid was fantastic. I was laughing so much my throat hurts. XD
Hoping for a Alien Isolation 2 from you two. XD
Every goddamn time they opened a door and those small metal tthings came out it scared me without fail....
I love these How To's!! Joel and Adam are hysterical!! More more more
38:15 they got extremely lucky. I was searching the transport car( trying to see if any parts were laying around.) Before pressing the a button to continue. As my search reached its end I went to look out the car, when I saw the alien running towards to car entrance. I never mashed the a button so fast in my life
Yeah I didn't realize that the Alien appears differently. I knew about the AI, but I thought that was activated after "x" event. I was watching another let's play from another gaming channel (he used crouch more often than Adam and Joel) and the Alien appeared later, and in more of a cinematic way that said "NOW there's an Alien in the mix!" Seeing that it can pop out pretty much whenever it feels like it, I don't know how I'm going to get through this game without multiple heart attacks.. Childhood nightmares come to life..
If you listen carefully, you can hear it begin climbing out of a nearby vent just as they close the doors >:D
I like how Adam was shouting so loud at certain points that it hurt my ear drums yet he was telling Joel to calm down.
I just love how the "Slenderman generation" is completely confused by this game because it does't just go for the " loud sound out of no where monster in your face" way of doing horror games but it actaully takes the time to build up some tension and lets your imagination take over so that you start to freak yourself out more than you need to.
If this generation includes people at the age of 16 I am glad to say that I do appreciate pacing, for instance half life is one of my favorite games.
Awesome comment man! I couldn't agree more. This is how scary games should be done, Cheap scares like jump scares are irritating.
You complain about slender, yet everything you described ties directly to the first slender game...
Love "How To:", I think it's a great show, and the interaction between Joel and Adam is just amazing to watch. Keep up the fantastic work!
My god, Adam just enveloped the microphone in fear. Hilarious!
Anyone else here the vent sound right at 38:06 when they just got into the tram. The Alien literately just arrived as they left XD such lucky bastards.
I listened to this with headphones on and fell asleep I regretted that decision so much
It's games like this that I appreciate the ad pop ups. They give me a chance to catch my breath.
Adam scaried me more than the Xenomorph god dammit xD Sounded like a spawn of hell
i have watched this so many times but it always makes me smile :) joel and adam are great, and they dare go where i definitely would not! even if it's under intense stress and loud screaming!
Hahaha that ending's audio may be the most blown-out recording RoosterTeeth has ever made.
Rooster Teeth; quality providers of only the manliest of screams.
I think Adam ate the microphone
Oh my god this was amazing. I love the How To's with Adam and Joel!!! These may be my favorite RT videos, one part for Joel and 9 parts for the wonderful wonderful Gilby
can we have a creen shot of the sound wave from the end lol
I say the developers should make their new title this, but Predator style in a jungle... ,let's be honest... we all want it
Good idea, but it would make a terrible game. Either you're killed the same spot until the world ends, ot the they have to force the predator not being able to kill you at certain points.
To sum up: A predator game vs this, wouldnt be the same.
I think only some of us want that, the rest probably just want to shoot at stuff.
daresmet So you want a jungle walk-simulator, or die-at-the-same-spot-until-the-sun-burns-up simulator?
Because either you walk around with your gun equipped, and gets killed by the Predator for being a threat, or you unequip it and break the game.
Predators doesnt kill unarmed people unless they somehow do them harm.
***** Let me clarify instead of you putting words in my mouth. I don't think a developer would want to put such a large budget into a game without featuring specific FPS troupes. Hell, I'm surprised this game looks as good as it does and doesn't feature a heavy focus on slaughtering mountains of enemies. (probably because they saw the response to Colonial Marines)
Aw man that Xenomorph was so epic! Loved those scenes with the alien in it! Forreals tho it was like watching the Godzilla movie all over again. 90% human interaction, 1% Boss battle
Holy fuck, the ending sounded like inception.....
20:40 was Joel upset? I like the way Adam seemed so concerned.
Hahaha! I'm so glad it wasn't me playing this. My Mom was a spectator when I played the original Silent Hill. We reacted the same way as you guys. Only difference was we actually sucked it up and completed the game.
Joel and Adam are the best duo players on TH-cam, keep the vids coming guys
Honest to God, Joel and Adam are my favorite pair for LPs.
the audio at the end was incredible. it was so blown out i literally thought that the alien was somehow making those static noises, oh my god, adam is your throat okay??
"He tuned around and is walking away from us"
**shoots gun**
"I'm gonna say he saw us"
haha, fucking amazing.
Any time I hear Joel go "I have to go to the bathroom" I think of that as a Caboosism.
Saw the length of the video and I thought: "Well this will be something hilarious"
Look at that floating fish in the background. Beautiful.
Awww...I was hoping for Gavin and Michael to do this...
Maybe they will play it too, considering the fact that they uploaded like three different videos of different people playing through PT and no one complained about watching the same gameplay three times because the commentary wasn't the same
DietBlood plus they've posted some of the games joel and adam have done as well.
It cracks me up when the simple things are so hard for them to do and omg the rawer at the end. Say good-by to your hearing but funny as hell when they are scared. LOL XD
Part 2 PLEASE!!!
This video has a lot of great moments, but Adam and Joel confusing old computer noises for Alien noises might be my favorite.
Joel's face at 1:08:37 is priceless
My sides hurt so much XD
I was crying at the end because of how funny that was
50:42 That was a little bit of Caboose right there, if I've ever seen it...
Pretty sure Joel is like very Caboose like IRL a this point.....its almost scary how he and the character have almost no separation anymore.
ironwolf113 See, people claim that and yet I have to remain skeptical. You know, because I'm almost 100% certain that people base that 'He's just like Caboose!' assumption on the 5% of his personality and life that we actually know about. There's WAAAAY more to our lovely Mr. Heyman than we see in these videos; he seems like a rather private person when it comes down to it. Personally I think he's very intelligent and obviously hard-working, since he does a lot of things for Rooster Teeth that most people don't even realize or know about (Burnie talked about it on the podcast fairly recently if I remember correctly). Joel's made it no secret that he's constantly thinking and stressing about things, too, which I suppose to someone who may not know very many people like that may seem like Joel is all over the place and not paying attention or is otherwise 'easily bored and spastic'. I think he just has a lot on his plate, which makes the work he does (including these How To videos) even more interesting and important to me.
I dunno, I suppose for most people who may not get analytical about certain people or people they like (I can't really help it, I'm eternally curious and love to pick up on little things that make more sense once they're put into a bigger picture) it might be easier just to assume that a character Joel plays - that they're familiar with - might incorporate facets of his personality because it's quicker to identify him (or with him) in that respect, but I think it's not giving Joel enough credit or individualism to claim he's 'essentially Caboose' or that it's 'scary how similar they are' when I think the only thing linking them is that Joel is Caboose's voice actor.
But I'm just ranting now, heh.
Nickyisnotcool Hey man we all need to let out that steam sometimes. I was making that statement as more of a joke, and it seems like he is putting on a persona when on camera (which is fine, privacy and all). But I met him way back at Akon when RvB was only like on season 4 or so and he was a much more....calm person i guess is the phrase? So it was mostly a joke with a slight observation undertone.
Oh and since this is TH-cam something about my your mom i guess, and a free code that is totally not a virus. Gotta keep up appearances.
ironwolf113 I hope it didn't seem like I was attempting to attack you! If it did, I'm sorry! It wasn't my intention. I'm just tired of people in the AH/RT fandom always 'stereotyping', and especially with people I admire very much, as is the case with Joel. I think it's kind of short-sighted and limiting to the person when they are constantly considered the 'stupid/clumsy' one or the 'crazy/messed up' one or whatever. I mean, I like that they each have their own thing going on, but after awhile it gets to the point where people don't seem to realize it's not the majority of their personality.
I dunno about 'putting on a persona' as it seems most people at RT don't seem to care enough to try and seem 'more interesting' or 'likable' (especially with Gus, god bless his zero-bullshit soul) but I think for Joel at work he's always thinking of the next thing he has to do, which may make him seem impatient and distracted at times (especially with things he doesn't necessarily think are an effective use of his time) and when he's at conventions it's probably that he's very one-track minded (calm) because that's generally all he has to do aside from some panels here and there.
But really it's all speculation, since we don't know any of them. One day they could very well pop up and say, "Haha, this was all a social experiment you guys suck goodnight everybody!" -Shrugs-
0:16 Joel: Scared the shit out of me.
*Angry screaming*
When I saw the thumbnail for this video... it made my day.
This game looks like it was made to be a movie.
i mean, those cut-scenes are very movie like in how there are framed, set, and lit.
Very nice.
All these people in the comments complaining about nothing happening. You are the people that haven't seen any of the Alien films.
Oh man that last minute was the best reaction ever lol oh man I'm dying here!
I can't believe how old Joel is...he looks so young and acts really young. Very unique guy.
I love these how to videos always super entertaining, even for an hour.
I need more of Joel and Adam playing this game. Bump it from a "How To" up to a let's play. I really wasn't fond of Adam at first, but after see the PT How To and now this, the duo of the two are now one of my favorites at RT.
8:07 'that's my favorite Chinese symbol' 1: it's Japanese and 2: it is 'tsu', whole thing is pronounced rokka, translates to locker
Oh! Thanks for this, I was reading the characters and I was like "wtf why does that say rotsukaa? the fuck does that mean?" But I forgot about the rule where tsu does the double consonant, and you just reminded me.
I like how Adam doesn't even yell at the end. He fucking roars!
Did the audio break or was that Adam and Joel's combined supersonic screams of fear?
I love whoever edited this vid
"We just got a friend, the game's not gonna immediately kill him off"
*character is immediately killed off*
Adam could scare the shit out of the aliens with his beard...
I love you two so much, the constant bickering is hilarious. Keep playing scary games
So there's been many games this year that haven't been worth the hype for the people, so let me ask you a question: was this game worth the hype?
there was no hype for this game, one day it was just there and that is it
Hamish Fraser maybe not from the casual fans or TH-cam people or anyone like that, but media sites covered this game like fuck. Basically every other week posting something about Alien: Isolation.
also not for gamers, you know they are the people that play games. there were next to no news things about it in gaming news and noone i know was excited for it, lets face it alien games are dead
Hamish Fraser oh, alright. You're just a stupid hater who comes out here disputing the facts because you don't like something. Cool.
did i once say i didnt like it, you are a stupid fanboy starting on all the logical thinkers
Adam's face at 59:50 is my favourite thing ever... of all time.
Ah the terror of waiting for that transit train, the monsters arrival through the duct at the security desk, the screams of the humans you snuck by as you return up the stairs, such delicious terror. Seriously, the sound design on this should win an award on its own.
There is something eerily quiet about a comment section with no comments yet.
*screams of FIRST heard in the distance*
I love watching them play scary games. I hope they do this with all the new horror/suspense games.
they would'nt kill off our friend immediately right?... death scene, good cut xD.
i love how the music changes pitch and adam is almost crying because hes so scared
Adam looks like Hiccups father from How to Train Your Dragon.
This game was amazing! A really experiential game, I don't usually play horror games but I absolutely loved this. Atmospheric, tense, great pacing and fun gameplay.
PART 2 REQUIRED
I just started the video and I already know from past experiences that I need this. Thanks guys.
"Monsters can't get in air vents."
It's true, watch the Outlast Let's Play
these are my favorite vidoes. adam and joel are awesome together especially with horror type games. hope there are more like this to come =]
Diologue from the cut part: *hears computer noises* ALIEN FUCKIN ALIEN JOEL RUN IMMA LOOK DOWN *sees smoke* QUITQUITQUITQUIT
Joel slipped into his caboose voice so many times in this video but the funniest time would have to be when he was saying "oh no the aliens got my face"
So that's the film that Joel was watching in the RTAA Joel's theatrical sickness
They did a really good job at capturing that Bioshock-esque horror feel.
Or you know, that movie from the 70s that's inspired hundreds of projects. I think it's call "alien"
***** And I think you're being a douche, but I managed to keep my mouth shut for long enough.
LOL I remember Gavin telling the story about Joel in the cinema when they were watching Prometheus, if any of you guys wanna see it I think you can watch "Best of Joel on the RT podcast", it's pretty funny jfc
Da_Giraffe Yeah it was Barbra, she told the story again in a recent screen play
Lmao, "achievment unlocked: she's in the vents" and the blank terror on both your faces, oh man totally worth the hour alone right there.
"That's my favorite Chinese symbol because it looks like a smiley face." -_- except that's japanese.
And I bet Chinese or Japanese mix up what English looks like with Spanish or German. You don't need to prove you're smart because you know it's Japanese.
Evil Paragon 2 Im not saying im smart, but you would think after living on this earth for a couple decades one might know the difference between chinese and japanese. (Same with spanish, english, and german, even though that's more difficult because they all use very similar letters.)
John Titor But the only difference I see between the 3 major Asian languages is:
Chinese use lots of strokes
Japanese use simple characters
Korean characters look square and straight.
Other than that they all look the same to me. In the case of the smiley face, yes it looks simple and my logic would say it's Japanese, meaning I would be right but it's still not that simple.
Evil Paragon 2 I'm not expecting anyone to be an expert, but they should generally be able to tell the differences between them. Even more so if spoken
Evil Paragon 2
Your argument would have made sense if only english, spanish, and german didn't actually use 90% of the exact same alphabet. Japanese and chinese are much more different from each other.
bunkering down for tonight to watch this... thank you adam and joel
Why can't a fucking thread in a Rooster Teeth comments section get more than four replies before it descends into a 20-300 comment flamewar about something really stupid? It wasn't always like that, it started about the time the Let's Play channel unveiled. When I was around this channel and the RT website since 2009, everything was peaceful. Community members moderated each other. Problems were handled swiftly and maturely or there were none. Now, we have all these new people flooding in because they're more interested in the game, not the community or employees, and you get a really mixed bag. Or at least that's my theory. Now I'm not saying all the new fans are bad or the old ones are good, I don't care how long you've been around, it doesn't make you better or worse. I just hate that my favorite community, where I feel like family is just being destroyed because people get all pretentious or butthurt or are just an asshole in general. There are no redeeming qualities in these comments.
I noticed this too. I think most of the RT fans are moving back to the website unless they never moved away from the site. TH-cam comments have become extremely obnoxious. That's why Pewdiepie stopped the commenting and had his fans move to his own website for awhile because of the same exact thing going on here.
A part of it is the blame of google+. Comments became more available and the more responses somebody got the higher they'd be in the top comments so you notice the hate posts more often.
In the old comments you'd see an occasional reply chain at the top and just the newest comments below that which could have been about anything.
Feel your pain dude, I showed up when the Let's Play channel became a thing and it annoys me that all people seem to do these days is smash Jeremy, Matt, Lindsay, or Kdin, and bitch about free content from a group of people that're just trying to make a living while giving their viewers a good time.
GO ROOSTERTEETH AND AH, DO WHAT YOU DO BEST AND MAKE US PISS OUR PANTS LAUGHING!!!
"Insert comment that is way over reacting to a certain comment that was posted earlier and is no longer relevant"
46:55 I love how their face cam blocks the 'TIP: avoid detection'
Watching them play this was PAINFUL.
pretty sure that's my new favourite How To video
their faces (especially joel's) when they encounter the alien for the first time are fucking gold
holy shit adam
Caboose playing alien isolation that's awesome
I laughed so hard at the end. His sound was so *done*!!
I was crying when he started screaming at the end 😂
