- In this video I'll be creating a sci-fi martian outpost. I had a 3D printer hot-end die on me, the silver lining was that the heatsink from this part was the perfect piece to create an interstellar antena!

Cherish the time you have with them, the sheer joy and happiness they bring you far out weighs all the poopie diapers you'll change. 🤢 Before you know it they will be dressing funny, listening to weird music, eating all your food and have their hand out asking for money.
I should know, my wife and I just got our daughter grown and out of the house, now all of a sudden we are helping to raise our grandchild. 🙄 Despite the sleepless nights and endless diapers we wouldn't change a thing.

Wow! I think that this is opposite of boylei. You have scifi wild west universe but more scifi and boylei also has scifi wild west universe but more wild west. Cool
Love your videography. Very similar to Boylei which is great. Not too many diorama channels narrate their construction process just excessive amount of loud music. Really enjoyed hearing your thought process. Can’t wait to see more videos with some of your own original thoughts and designs!

love it nice to see new artists show their stuff I wish I knew how the startup is probably the toughest
Not bad, not bad at all. I would have added more obvious instruments that we use for atmospheric conditions, like a weather vane with a propeller on it for wind speed and the hydrometer, another spinner with cups to catch the wind, etc. just because I'm a geek and attention to detil is kinda my thing, and many of these things are fairly easy to make with leftovers from other kits, an exacto blade and a lit candle. I would also invest in some guitar strings, the metal ones, as they can be bent, and they look great as conduit or antennae or even piping in smaller scales, there is a wide variety of materials you can use for modelling that work fantastic in scale modelling. I would spend some time looking at other youtube modellers to get some ideas as they show what they use and offer fantastic hints and tips! But all in all your model looks great, I look forward to seeing you put out more models and dioramas and seeing your creativity turn you into a master of the art. we all have a master modeller inside of us waiting to be unleashed, show the world what you can do Xylo! And count me in!

finally original theme diorama. I love the space mad max feel from it
I really enjoyed your thought process on the weathering passes. A lot to keep in mind and use in the future. The one thing I thought of might have been to salvage the working electronics from a solar light to add light to your project. Anyway, thanks for the video!
That's a great suggestion, the small solar cells could even be part of the diorama!

I'm loving this already! It's an interresting world idea you've made that I can see can be made very unique. I see lots of insipration/similarities with Boylei Hobby Time. Thats the vibe, editing, techniques and also the world itself. My only remark I think you should keep in mind is, this world idea seems VERY similar to Boylei's Wild West series. I don't think you should stop and make something else at all, cause I can definetly see this going in it's own direction where you create something very new and exciting. Keep up the great work! :)
Thanks for the comment, Boylei is a big source of inspiration. That being said, I'm not trying to copy his idea. I'm learning as I go and most of that knowledge comes from youtube. Branching out to different ideas will be a natural course as this moves along.
I like it. I feel as though it has a heavy metal magazine feel to it based on the colors you chose. I can't wait to see more. I'm hoping you throw in a monster or two also.

This turned out pretty awesome. The kit bashing was way more than I could accomplish. You may have heard it a lot but, The only thing I can offer is maybe thin your paints a little more to help preserve those textures you worked hard for. And thin your washes even more so that the high spots show through. This looks awesome though, man. I can't wait to see the next one. :)

I like the size of the project, other dioramas are so huge that I feel almost intimidate to try; this project seems manageable if I wouldn't be such a lazy ass. Also it's something I could put into shelf and don't need to buy an extra table.
I was in the same boat a few weeks ago, and decided to give it a go! Thank you, don't have much space to work with at home so making the best with what I have.
This is very promising in terms of quality and execution. Good build, great editing. Excellent starting video. As others have mentioned, it is clear that you have taken inspiration from other channels - which is natural. However, as you move on I would suggest to try to find something a little bit more "you" while still keeping the quality up.

Great diorama. What I will advise however, (and you may be annoyed by this) is to use paint thinner or some kind of paint remover on your earth/rusted surfaces. Some places look too homogenous in terms of color and texture and just removing some would make it look much more dirt/earth-like and used and abused.

@@XyloMakes of course! After finishing the video I think my only piece of advice is maybe try to find a way to water your wash down a little bit, it seemed just a little too thick, but really it didn't affect anything poorly and it still looked great!

This is stellar
Besides the obvious, here's food for thought as you develop your own world... The Boylei universe has had Spaceman visitors over time. These visitors had to come from somewhere and maybe some of the pioneers decided to travel back with the Spacemen to wherever their home world was and start a new life there. That world has some similarities to the Wild West but also new and different things to explore. Maybe you can show us that unique universe and how the Spacemen live their lives. Maybe as that world is established, you can look at doing a collaboration with Boylei because I'm sure he'd be interested in what you are going to create for yourself and your audience. As mentioned elsewhere, the audio quality does need some attention as you go forward.
