Second half featured some of the weakest officiating I've seen all season. Ruined momentum for both teams down the stretch. Great finish tho!

Hats off to the NIT tournament. The teams all have winning records, unlike the NCAA tournament
There has only been like 15 teams with a losing record in the history of the NCAA tournament. Texas southern last year was a blip.
I love the Cinderella Saint Peters kind of stories but some of these NIT teams belong in the tourney. These 2 showed what they're capable of. Then the obvious thing happens with the last couple teams left out (SMU and Dayton) playing with zero interest and getting knocked out early. I know 66 teams sounds like a lot but its deceptive. The amount of at-large bids is way too small. Expanding another 10 or so teams would fix this and it's just extra ratings for the network. Maybe give byes to all the 1 and 2 seeds. However the math works.
Xavier and Texas A&M were also two of the last teams left out of the tournament, didn't seem to affect their motivation. We do not need more at-large teams in the NCAA tournament. Xavier had a great run in the NIT and it was nice to see them win it, but they also lost 8 of their last 10 games including ugly losses to DePaul, Butler, and St. John's (twice), when 4-6 probably would have gotten them in. Hard to claim they deserved to be in the NCAA tournament.
@@joellahrman4557 yea thats what the season is for imo. if you really deserve to get in thats where you show it. i doubt theres too many teams that got left out that would of made a deep run. maybe 70 teams max including the play in games but thats enough lol

What? The announcers and refs were crazy for Xavier. Lol
A&M should have, I kid you not at least a dozen points off of missed fouls. The refs swallowed their whistle every time A&M had the ball. It was utterly ridiculous.
They were calling weak stuff both ways all game
A&M got way less calls for them. I have not seen it this bad all season. And I watch SEC ball, where you can just about mutilate a guy and not get called. Refs distinctively favored Xavier. Probably not on purpose but it was almost fireable.

I seriously do not see why any school or any player would want to be in this tournament. It’s second rate to the NCAA. I’d be embarrassed. Who wants to play in a tournament that’s not the best? Not me.

It's funny because it doesn't look like you're even good enough to play on any of these teams in the first place, you're hating on them for only getting into the second best tournament, but you can't even make the league 😂
