- The Calico Social Hall, Knott's Berry Farm's new VIP area in Ghost Town, opeed on Jan. 1, 2024, just for Prestige Season Passholders. Located inside Gertie's Dress Shop, it's the perfect spot to unwind, enjoy a refreshment, and shop for exclusive Knott's goodies!

This used to be our overflow rooms for The Steak House
Back in the day, it was the Gunslinger Room. Also many Banquets were held back here. Glad to see it being used still and so nice with the memorabilia photos of the Knott Family. Nice feature

Always happy to pass along the information! A lot of guests simply thought the room was the only perk to the Prestige, where it is just one of the reasons to upgrade!
looks interesting, very good for rainy or hot days or to take a break from the crowds, surprised they didn't also have a VIP bathroom in there. At least Knotts is always looking ahead and updating while staying very affordable compared to other SoCal parks
A restroom would have been nice, but I think the location of the room prevented that from happening. It rained NYE and we were scrambling for a dry place to sit... that's where this will definitely come in handy in the future! (and a place to charge the phone and edit videos) LOL

I love the idea, but seems a little average to me as a "perk". I wish they had themed it out a little better to go along with the Ghost Town environment, like making the inside like the Calico Saloon or Western Themed lounge area with Victorian style furniture or wooden cabin/log furniture instead of the vinyl upholstered craftsman era furniture. The addition of maybe a stone faced, gas lit fireplace would have been a nice touch or a cast iron stove or pot-bellied shove for a more cozy ambience! Even some wooden rocking chairs would have been nice too.

As long as they're consistent in keeping the lounge open throughout the entire year, this will be nice to take a break during hot days. Would certainly not like the idea of paying the $250 difference in passes only to come upon a "VIP Lounge not open today" sign more often than not. Time will tell!
I agree. But, I have a feeling this will be very popular, warranting keeping it open. Honestly, the Preferred Parking, Dedicate Morning Entry Gate and the Fast Lane were the reasons I upgraded since we go so often. The lounge was a bonus addition.
New Year’s Eve will be crazy
I go to Californias Great America a few times a year for events and Holidays, so I pretty much HAD to add on the $100 park pass option to my Prestige Pass...but really, with drink+, meal plan and park pass it isn't to much more than the Platinum Pass payments were with the meal plan and drinks. The preferred parking alone is worth the difference...
The Preferred Parking was the top reason I upgraded as well. It has already paid for itself and I used Preferred several times during Scary Farm and it made visiting later in the evening so easy. Even at the $375 price point, its still a great value compared to other parks.

So for the single fast pass you just ask at a register?
Wherever Fast Lane is sold. We go to the General Store. They scan your pass and it prints out a receipt to use for that day. A single ride of choice from the available Fast Lane rides.
I can’t figure out what they took out to make this room. There sure a lot of doors surrounding it.
It was the back banquet room to Spurs (used as an overflow room for Scary Farm pre-scare). The hallway from the dress shop is new. The double doors lead into the Ghost Town Grill. The set of the 3 single doors lead into the Spurs kitchen and Dining Room. The other doors are emergency exits into the backstage area of the park. Other than the occasional banquets and buffet, it was an underutilized area. Waaaaaaaay back in the day, it was a part of the original steakhouse!
What if you’re an employee? Are you allowed in? Because I really wanna check it out.
Associates should be able to take a tour to explain the room and the pass perks to Guests!
Do you think the size for day's it would actually be ideal to use will end up being at max capacity ?
Time will tell! I can see it filling up quickly on busy hot summer days or when it rains.

There has been no mention of Soak City yet, but that may be in the works.
