      @@vgbondarevis there a proper way to back up with a double-articulated trailer? Years ago, I was towing a vehicle using a trailer that had two points of articulation and I couldn't get the thing to turn properly backing up. Wound up unhooking the towed vehicle to get where I needed to.

    This was a very interesting change of pace.
    I've always been a fan of trucks, since the late 90's, when I discovered the Hard Truck franchise, and having enjoyed many hours of ETS2 and ATS.
    Tedward, I know this is not the main focus of your channel, but if you could review these big rigs every now and then it would be epic!

    edit: also goddamn driving the cross bronx (and really anywhere in nyc) in a truck is a hell of a feat, props to you!
    edit 2: the nohesi thing kinda caught my attention as I'm staff in the official nohesi discord and I've seen nohesi grow in size by like tenfold

  • @supersimon126
    @supersimon126 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Yeah the comfort is something people often forget to mention. To add to it, here in europe, a lot of if not most trucks have airride on the cab itself relative to the frame so you're isolated from the wheel suspension that needs to do all the heavy lifting. The upside is you can run one of those over a curb and still be comfortable so regular bumps and potholes become effectively irrelevant which means you can just kill miles for hours and still feel good when you're done, but the downside is you can feel wind and turbulence a little more because the cab moves relative to the chassis

    • @anthonymancuso3675
      @anthonymancuso3675 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As a professional truck driver and a car guy, I can confirm this is nuts and really cool if you dont have any previous long trailer / big truck experience...
    When you do this daily it becomes mundane but it must be such a thrill for the first time... in europe to be able to drive something like this you'd need a C (over 12 ton) license and then a towing (E) license for the trailer, kinda nuts they let you just do that in the US

    • @corollavirus4age
      @corollavirus4age ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @TedwardDrives It's amazing there aren't more accidents. There are so many people weaving through traffic at 100+ mph, then others who are too timid to do anything and cause very dangerous situations. I get constantly cut off and people always take the shoulder. You have to be very agressive and contantly attentive to survive driving in NY. There is no enforcement so people do whatever they want.
