    the dad is actually very good even though he is shown in a bad light. The way he instantly haughty to apologise to his two other children after getting annoyed was lovely.

      @@gore0802 you should have yourself tested. I mean psychologically. You need help. 1. He did not blame anybody, he was angry that she was giving up on her baby before the results were in. She started to talk about donating her organs before they knew if she would be able to survive. Not easy for the parents to process. 2. He saw the other couple as just waiting and looking in their direction, to see if his daughter was already dead to use her organs. His reactions are normal and you have a problem understanding and connecting with human emotions. You also have a problem with the theory of mind: you can't separate your knowledge of the dr intentions and process it with the knowledge they have, as far as they know the doctor could be giving up to save the other baby. You can learn to understand and process, but most likely now without help.

      @@gore0802if you are being told your 3 month old might die and are being asked for organ donation, of course you might fly off the handle. You are protective for that baby with every core of your body and mind. It’s a knee jerk reaction. That why he caught himself and apologized.

      made me cry because it reminded me of my Cosine she had a miscarriage with her first child and it broke all our hearts especially my mum ( her aunt) and her two brothers.
      And my mum told her brothers that she needs them every step of the way because they lost their mum (my aunt) to liver cancer a few years before so my cosine (who lost the baby) had no mother to help her.

    I can’t imagine what would have been going through the other couple’s heads. It’s just horrific to think there are parents going through this right now.

      @downhomesunset 2 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      I really don’t think that they would be informed that another baby is possibly going to be an organ donor, especially if they are on the same floor…. Privacy and anonymity are of the utmost importance in organ donation. Finding out who donated/recieved organs is a long process and both parties have to want it.

    • @321girlwantstohavefun

      @@downhomesunset the storyline, what the dad says, the unresponsivness of the female doctor to what the dad said about the family staring like vultures, and the camera introducing that family and the doctor talking about another baby in the same condition as Aliesha, shows that that's exactly what the hospital did, even though you're right, they shouldn't have done that for all kinds of reasons.
      Of course in real life, that wouldn't happen, but I think they wanted to make this episode horrifically tense and unbareably stressful. To me the episode had an underlying deeper visual meaning but it's long to get into.

      Unethical =/= what you personally dislike
      For organs to be donated, the body has to either be still "alive" or very, very close to death. You simply don't have the time to ask such questions at that time, especially infront of grieving parents.
      Also, please get the idea of your head that they stop treatment or stop trying if you say "yes". That's the only reason you find it "unethical" in the first place and its pure lunacy.

    This serial makes no sense. Why is the same doctor treats pregnant, babies and adults?
    They all should be attended by different doctors specialising in the particular area, and a baby should definitely be admitted to a children’s department and seen by paediatricians .
    Is it all like this in US?
    Because in UK it’s very different

      It's because filming it the way it coresponds with reality would be both too expensive And too boring for the audience. Would you watch a tv show where there's either different doctors And department in every episode or the main character would treat the same type of patient over and over? It's the same reason why in dr. House the team makes all the scans and testing, while in reality each and every one of them would be done by different trained specialist...
