And that might not be his true form it feels it just his ursine form since he even said that he still need his rest to gain his power before the war happens.
@happypepper9326 You have to remember one thing about the game, it's not actually portraying how the freljord IS. Everything is through the lens of Nunu. We see it all through a child's eyes. Willump is a Yeti, an incredibly dangerous and powerful creature, but because we see him through Nunu's eyes, he is soft and without any sharp edges that convey threat. I think the same thing happens with Volibear too, where Nunu does not see him as he is, but as a less threatening version. Add to that that Volibear is a shapeshifter and had no reason to be violent towards Nunu in the situation (Voli prefers to old, wild way of living, but he isn't a mindless brute) and what we see becomes a lot more understandable.
This is literally what I've been dreaming about the day Ornn was released in League. Everything about him is so majestic and bygone, he's still there but the aesthetics of magma forge in the coldest region is so fucking cool i genuinely want to go there and hearthome when the mmo comes out. 5:10 & 17:10 A nice detail about Ornn’s personality. Here you can see he gave it a thought about doing a favour for Nunu & Willump, but immediately disregarded it afterwards. And that he is disgruntled that Nunu asked if the Cauldron is magic. This really connects to Ornn’s lore. He doesn’t like doing favours for people for he believes in one’s hardwork. That life isn’t handed to you on a silver platter, you gotta work for it. And that he knows what happens if he keeps accepting favours. Magic. Ornn hates Magic because it just ruins his work-a prime example is the Howling Abyss Bridge. He built that for the 3 sisters, but they added magic to it which overtime deteriorated the quality of Ornn’s work (that’s why it crumbles whenever there’s a kill in Aram) if they didn’t put any magic in it, that Bridge would’ve last for centuries, if not indefinitely. Ornn is what you can call a… tough and hard-loving dad. He shows his good side through hardship, dedication, and lessons rather than the typical “I love you”, hugging, sort of stuff PS apologies for any grammar or spelling mistakes, English is my 3rd language so I’m not very good at it

I am so glad the writers for this game knew Ornn so well, certain references like how he doesn't give too high of praise to Nunu and Willump for their forging work because of how he promised to never praise work too highly ever since his house burned down. Or the reference to "ruinous magics" and his dislike of magic because of Lissandra ruining the the bridge he created to keep the Watchers out with spells. Him being aloof but ultimately being very tender and kind to Nunu and Willump even calling Nunu a little spark, the writers knew Ornn and cared about his lore and I'm so grateful for that ❤
Updating this comment since some rare wandering Ornn fans have liked it lately, I'm really sad about Riot Forge being gone. This is so frustrating..right when when we were getting good lore too.

Ornn's line about magic speaks of a greater, harsher truth about magic and how people only value thing if its magic. Its why people in demacia tell his tales; because demacian see magic as a shortcut to excellence.
Demacians, though horribly broken and hypocritical, genuinly come from a place were magic has been used violently and dangerously so distrust is abit understandable though by the extremes their paranoia took them; all bets were off.
The other way around. Ornn sees magic as a shortcut that will undercut you. Demacians fear magic becuase centuries of culturally ingrained fear of the Rune Wars have turned it into a mythic kind of hate, to the point where it’s seen as a disease or curse. Feared like a plague rather than the tool it is.

Not gonna lie I was expecting Ornn to have some complaints about Braum carrying his vault's door when Nunu mentioned him 😆 But overall this was AMAZING. Ornn is truly an amazing character. Might not be one of the most social beings around, but come on. Somebody just breaks into his workshop uninvited and he calls them "visitors" (instead of intruders) and later even lets them into his forge. And ends up making something for them even. Truly a chad.
I gotta say, I’m digging how Riot is branching LoL out into different genres. Cuz like, if Nunu and Willump had their own game, it _would_ definitely be a 2000s era 3D platformer.

I think you guys are missing a huge point of the game. The Ornn you see here, is NOT how Ornn actually looks like, this is how Nunu sees him. We are seeing Ornn through the eyes of a child here (and everything else in the game too).

Ornn is one of my favorite characters in League. He alone got me back into it for a time, he alone almost brought me back when he appeared in The Call short. Now he alone has convinced me to put this game on the list of games to play this year. I already was intrigued by it but now that I've seen him? Done deal. He's so cool for something so fiery!
I can see some if league of legends in game items in ornn shelves, i see the Trinity force, 2 of the shuriman amulets, the aegis, frozen armor, a bf sword....
I hope this is the graphics for the Riot MMORPG when it comes out. im sure top down is cool and all but this kind of gameplay just....feels right yknow? the graphics like this are pretyt simple, simple textured but small details added in to make it pop out anyways. it just feels perfect for the mmo. i really hope this is the artstyle

Willump is magical crature old as Lissandra, and Nunu has inside the spark of Anivia, making him probably the strongest iceborn for magical powers. They are fine.
I don't know if this was either addressed in game or not, but I am curious if Ornn is aware about a certain someone running around with his door. Can't say for sure since Ornn wasn't like, "Braum? When you see him, tell him to return my door." or anything like that. Still, this is the first Song of Nunu video I've seen so maybe it could be addressed in another video.
I feel like ornn was made to be a loner by the upper gods but doesnt rlly want to be. It seems like he personally doesnt mind visitors and is delighted by them, even in his base lore they say that he secretly liked the people who were trying to impress him and was very sad when they died. It seems to me that in his nature he was made to hate company, each of the freljordian gods have something in their personality that would ensure them to split apart from eachother. Volibears feral rage, anivias undying empathy for humans and maybe ornns crippling need for loneliness. Idk just saying if ornn truly wanted to be alone forever he would be able to do so very very easily
Ornn is very sociable person, but after his followers were murdered for worshipping him he decided its in best interest to not have followers agains. Not because he wont like that, but because he wouldnt like anyone else getting killed. So its like „leave me alone before you get hurt”. He is a huge softie inside, but because of his status he feels like he needs to deny that to himself which leads to his usual grumpyness.

Ornn is introvert but caring. And quite social awkard. He doesn't like to interact with people, but he wants to help people. He is a good person who appreciate solitude and focus on his work and art, which requires patience and, for him, is a lot more simple than interact with people socially. Still, he loves to see his work to be useful/functional/practical. He cares about others, just that people are stressing. It is an hard balance for people like him. Moreover, he was wounded emotionally by seeing his followers die during the battle against Volibear. This made him to actively avoid people putting barriers and distance.
I can't even believe this is from LoL. Imagine if Kindred was in It, would be funny see a conversation between the pairs. (I know someone is going to die in order the Kidnred show up, but in one tale they just appear to talk with someone... And take her friend's souls away, but let's ignlre that part)
It's kinda funny that Ornn is entertaining these pair HAHAHAHAAH dude's supposed to be the unbothered type in the lore and yet here he is, acting like a grandpa babysitting his grandkids.
He APPEARS as the unbothered type, but he absolutely loves company from time to time, he is just scared to keep any company for long since last time he had followers Volibear basically had them all killed. Ornn IS the grumpy old grandpa that will act annoyed about his grandkids showing up, but he somehow has all their favourite candies, food and toys ready every time.

Why did Ornn say the switch was delicate? He literally is the greatest blacksmith in the freljord. If Lissandra didn't put any magic in the howling abyss it would have stood for eternity. But somehow Ornn couldn't make a goddamn switch that could withstand a flick from a small child?

I like that the animation beeing kinda goofy sometimes really matches with the magical and docile way Nunu and Willump see the world

I think you guys are missing a huge point of the game. The Ornn you see here, is NOT how Ornn actually looks like, this is how Nunu sees him. We are seeing Ornn through the eyes of a child here (and everything else in the game too).

Base volibear is how the winterclaw sees him, thousand pierced bear is how the ursine sees him and the voli here is how nunu sees him. Same as ornn as well. Have a great day.

Ornn is one of my favorite characters in League. He alone got me back into it for a time, he alone almost brought me back when he appeared in The Call short. Now he alone has convinced me to put this game on the list of games to play this year. I already was intrigued by it but now that I've seen him? Done deal. He's so cool for something so fiery!

I hope this is the graphics for the Riot MMORPG when it comes out. im sure top down is cool and all but this kind of gameplay just....feels right yknow? the graphics like this are pretyt simple, simple textured but small details added in to make it pop out anyways. it just feels perfect for the mmo. i really hope this is the artstyle

I feel like this is going to the same path as God of War, where the game won't stop telling you what to do, even the simplest thing. Especially for the riddles, it's fun to figure things out, not having a kid telling you constantly what to do. Looks really interesting tho

I don't know if this was either addressed in game or not, but I am curious if Ornn is aware about a certain someone running around with his door. Can't say for sure since Ornn wasn't like, "Braum? When you see him, tell him to return my door." or anything like that. Still, this is the first Song of Nunu video I've seen so maybe it could be addressed in another video.

I feel like ornn was made to be a loner by the upper gods but doesnt rlly want to be. It seems like he personally doesnt mind visitors and is delighted by them, even in his base lore they say that he secretly liked the people who were trying to impress him and was very sad when they died. It seems to me that in his nature he was made to hate company, each of the freljordian gods have something in their personality that would ensure them to split apart from eachother. Volibears feral rage, anivias undying empathy for humans and maybe ornns crippling need for loneliness. Idk just saying if ornn truly wanted to be alone forever he would be able to do so very very easily
Ornn is very sociable person, but after his followers were murdered for worshipping him he decided its in best interest to not have followers agains. Not because he wont like that, but because he wouldnt like anyone else getting killed. So its like „leave me alone before you get hurt”. He is a huge softie inside, but because of his status he feels like he needs to deny that to himself which leads to his usual grumpyness.

Ornn is introvert but caring. And quite social awkard.
He doesn't like to interact with people, but he wants to help people. He is a good person who appreciate solitude and focus on his work and art, which requires patience and, for him, is a lot more simple than interact with people socially. Still, he loves to see his work to be useful/functional/practical. He cares about others, just that people are stressing.
It is an hard balance for people like him.
Moreover, he was wounded emotionally by seeing his followers die during the battle against Volibear. This made him to actively avoid people putting barriers and distance.

It's kinda funny that Ornn is entertaining these pair HAHAHAHAAH dude's supposed to be the unbothered type in the lore and yet here he is, acting like a grandpa babysitting his grandkids.
He APPEARS as the unbothered type, but he absolutely loves company from time to time, he is just scared to keep any company for long since last time he had followers Volibear basically had them all killed.
Ornn IS the grumpy old grandpa that will act annoyed about his grandkids showing up, but he somehow has all their favourite candies, food and toys ready every time.

Why did Ornn say the switch was delicate? He literally is the greatest blacksmith in the freljord. If Lissandra didn't put any magic in the howling abyss it would have stood for eternity. But somehow Ornn couldn't make a goddamn switch that could withstand a flick from a small child?
