    The f10 m5 is such a sleeper imo. It really doesn't take much till it's pushing 700+ hp and spanking super cars on a roll. Yet it blends in with traffic and the average guy would have no idea what a weapon this thing is.

    • @teflondon4963
      @teflondon4963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +64

      That is the magic of the M5, always has been.

    • @TeqHDcasper
      @TeqHDcasper 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Have the "shit" wheels and a normal colour and its even more of a sleeper

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      A CTS-V is much more of a sleeper, because everybody expects an M5 to be fast. The CTS-V is faster, and nobody expects that from a Cadillac. Especially M5 owners who get passed.

    • @kevindavis5966
      @kevindavis5966 7 ปีที่แล้ว +51

      Let us know when they start using CTS-V's as Nurburgring taxi cars.

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      +Kevin Davis - Let me know when being used as a taxi on the nurburgring is relevant to anything at all. The CTS-V is faster and handles better than the M5. This is a FACT, not an opinion. And being a taxi or not doesn't change that fact.
      Also, because it sounds like you're not aware of how the CTS-V was developed, Cadillac lived in Germany for 6 months developing the CTS-V on the Nurburgring and the autobahns. The LAST generation CTS-V set the world record for fastest 4 door car ever recorded on the nurburgring when it came out in 2009.
      And if this is just an issue of you not understanding that the CTS-V is faster, the CTS-V has more power, more torque and weighs hundreds of lbs less. Are you familiar with how the laws of physics work on this planet?

    This is the perfect ride that shows how good the M5 is. It is the perfect super car. It feels like it is a planted 70s Trans Am but with speed and real speed. I have the comp package as well and standing still looks like it is scraping the street. I choose the back-roads to work where I can open it a bit and enjoy the ride. In my other vehicles it is the expressway bypass. But the turbos give you power right now and it does not stop. It is one of the few cars you don't feel like getting out and pushing it to make it go faster.

    I can only imagine how awesome the M5 is to drive... I drove a 2017 540i M-Sport with a few extra M Performance parts on it at a BMW Track Event at Pocono Raceway not long ago, and that was a pretty damned fast...

  • @gabrielsanchez1644
    @gabrielsanchez1644 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I couldn’t get a M5 for many reasons, main one was money of course.. so I was able to finance the 2016 535i M Sport package.. pre-owned, but it’s what I was looking for. I’ve always loved BMW since I was a teen.. So being able to get one was a dream come true. In terms of comfort, it’s like I’m sitting in a fighter jet’s cockpit! Everything’s within reach, I’m 6’ foot even about 250 pounds and it’s like I’m floating on a cloud.. it has the sports mode and sports plus, if you wanna feel that thing take off you can switch it to sports mode and use the levers or sift up or down on the stick (no homo) you might want to warm up the bimmer tho, I never push it when it’s not warmed up.. the brakes can honestly be better, but the ride is smooth, comfortable and it’s not the fastest but it does pick up quick for its size and weight. Did I mention that the audio system is amazing? Heated seats, Also very quiet inside the car when you’re out and about.. I get all the Camaro’s and Mustangs, Chargers and all that pull up and give me the revs, but I just keep it going. Just my 2 cents!

    The F10 M5 is seriously one of BMW's best cars made ever. And what's freaking awesome is that BMW Techs say the F10 is a very reliable platform, the S63 TT V8 engine is relatively solid, and the 2012 and 2013 M5's are like $45k, so a ton of people can afford one! Just a few more years and they'll be in the $30,000 range. Awesome cars.

      It’s kind of relative. It’s no 911, but it definitely doesn’t feel as big as the internet makes it sound. So much power, tire, suspension, and braking, so it doesn’t feel its weight. It’s well balanced too, it just feels like it has a big footprint on the road, not necessarily like a big car.

    Don't the bearings fail in these engines? Or I'm mistaking for the v10.. would be scary to have an engine go bad in this car 🚗

    Matt, you do know that the F90 M5 will be able to switch between 4 and RWD platforms via a click of a button?

    Hey Matt, how do you feel about this car with downpipes, intakes; and a tune? Doesn’t seem like you’re wishing for more power but with how easy it is to get 750 hp, how do you feel about one of these with bolt ons?

      Agreed even though I'm not a fan of the twin turbo V8, I do like the F10 chassis.

    • @damefaso
      @damefaso 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Chassis or body? Because the driving experience in the F10 was lame,especially when the predecessor was one of the best driving executive sedans ever made.Now the new F90 M5 will be like a car Audi has been selling for the past 15 years

      same, I really want to trade up from my 135i to an F10 M5. I think it's the best M5 in terms of exterior design.

    • @DDMSteveB
      @DDMSteveB 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Better I believe but they destroy the batteries to the point it's factory service interval is like annually. The turbos get the block super hot and the electric water pump continues to circulate coolant when the car is shut down. It just destroys battery life. Otherwise it's what you expect with a $100k+ car for maintenance.

    Can someone provide details on the 997.2 4 handbrake trick? Is it real? Sounds like that would be very handy for skidpad training.
