    The f10 m5 is such a sleeper imo. It really doesn't take much till it's pushing 700+ hp and spanking super cars on a roll. Yet it blends in with traffic and the average guy would have no idea what a weapon this thing is.

    • @teflondon4963
      @teflondon4963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +65

      That is the magic of the M5, always has been.

    • @TeqHDcasper
      @TeqHDcasper 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Have the "shit" wheels and a normal colour and its even more of a sleeper

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      A CTS-V is much more of a sleeper, because everybody expects an M5 to be fast. The CTS-V is faster, and nobody expects that from a Cadillac. Especially M5 owners who get passed.

    • @kevindavis5966
      @kevindavis5966 7 ปีที่แล้ว +51

      Let us know when they start using CTS-V's as Nurburgring taxi cars.

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      +Kevin Davis - Let me know when being used as a taxi on the nurburgring is relevant to anything at all. The CTS-V is faster and handles better than the M5. This is a FACT, not an opinion. And being a taxi or not doesn't change that fact.
      Also, because it sounds like you're not aware of how the CTS-V was developed, Cadillac lived in Germany for 6 months developing the CTS-V on the Nurburgring and the autobahns. The LAST generation CTS-V set the world record for fastest 4 door car ever recorded on the nurburgring when it came out in 2009.
      And if this is just an issue of you not understanding that the CTS-V is faster, the CTS-V has more power, more torque and weighs hundreds of lbs less. Are you familiar with how the laws of physics work on this planet?

    I'm a huge fan of naturally-aspirated engines, but when it comes to HEAVY super sedans and grand tourers, twin-turbo torque just makes so much more sense.

    I bought a very well equipped 2015 M5 Competition this May with only 15K miles for $57k. It is an absolute steal at this price. The performance, overall experience and refinement have to be experienced first hand. I also drive a 2014 911 C4S cabriolet and have had numerous BMWs including an e46 M3. I LOVE this car!

    The F10 M5 is seriously one of BMW's best cars made ever. And what's freaking awesome is that BMW Techs say the F10 is a very reliable platform, the S63 TT V8 engine is relatively solid, and the 2012 and 2013 M5's are like $45k, so a ton of people can afford one! Just a few more years and they'll be in the $30,000 range. Awesome cars.

    BMW definitely rates their HP lower or at the wheels. I've seen quite a few videos of people putting stock M cars on a dyno and completely blowing the claimed HP out of the water

  • @Treesandhustle

    I couldn’t get a M5 for many reasons, main one was money of course.. so I was able to finance the 2016 535i M Sport package.. pre-owned, but it’s what I was looking for. I’ve always loved BMW since I was a teen.. So being able to get one was a dream come true. In terms of comfort, it’s like I’m sitting in a fighter jet’s cockpit! Everything’s within reach, I’m 6’ foot even about 250 pounds and it’s like I’m floating on a cloud.. it has the sports mode and sports plus, if you wanna feel that thing take off you can switch it to sports mode and use the levers or sift up or down on the stick (no homo) you might want to warm up the bimmer tho, I never push it when it’s not warmed up.. the brakes can honestly be better, but the ride is smooth, comfortable and it’s not the fastest but it does pick up quick for its size and weight. Did I mention that the audio system is amazing? Heated seats, Also very quiet inside the car when you’re out and about.. I get all the Camaro’s and Mustangs, Chargers and all that pull up and give me the revs, but I just keep it going. Just my 2 cents!

    I drove the E60 M5 for 10 years sold it and bought a F10 M5!!! Omg 😮!! This car is freaking ridiculous. I prefer this one over the E60. I’m still trying to get use to it...

    This is the perfect ride that shows how good the M5 is. It is the perfect super car. It feels like it is a planted 70s Trans Am but with speed and real speed. I have the comp package as well and standing still looks like it is scraping the street. I choose the back-roads to work where I can open it a bit and enjoy the ride. In my other vehicles it is the expressway bypass. But the turbos give you power right now and it does not stop. It is one of the few cars you don't feel like getting out and pushing it to make it go faster.

    • @XcoolcoolbeansbeansX
      @XcoolcoolbeansbeansX 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s kind of relative. It’s no 911, but it definitely doesn’t feel as big as the internet makes it sound. So much power, tire, suspension, and braking, so it doesn’t feel its weight. It’s well balanced too, it just feels like it has a big footprint on the road, not necessarily like a big car.

      Chassis or body? Because the driving experience in the F10 was lame,especially when the predecessor was one of the best driving executive sedans ever made.Now the new F90 M5 will be like a car Audi has been selling for the past 15 years

    Matt, 40k-ish buys you a great daily driver. 2013 M5 DCT, New Chevy SS 6spd or SRT 392 Charger. What's your pick for the money all things considered?

    First of all a m5 is an all encompassing car. Fast comfortable,classy, luxurious and a higher status for those who seek that. I see a m5 and I look twice. If see a cts-v , camaro, mustang, hellcat etc.. i don't look twice . I don't care if it is a tad bit slower than some of these other american muscle cars, I want the whole package and that is a m5

    One thing I did not like you saying "wasting time looking for your fancy car" how is it wasting time? If it's your passion then it's your passion and motivation. I'm 18 and definitely can not afford it right now but it's my motivation so don't say wasting your time.

      Better I believe but they destroy the batteries to the point it's factory service interval is like annually. The turbos get the block super hot and the electric water pump continues to circulate coolant when the car is shut down. It just destroys battery life. Otherwise it's what you expect with a $100k+ car for maintenance.

    Matt - you seemed to love the F10 M5, but not the F90 M5. Care to expand or clarify? I prefer the hydraulic steering and DCT to the EPS and 8 speed auto on the F90 myself...

  • @MrGaryGG48

    Matt, these guys get to be amusing. My grandpa used to tell me 50 years ago, "It takes two opinions to make a horse race!" Guys have been arguing about which car is faster/quicker/better than the other ever since they first out-ran the horse! ...on the subject down the list a way, German law apparently demands that the recent model years are very limited in "radiated noise" so they've taken to "faking it" and playing the engine sounds back through the stereo. That bugs me but I can understand their marketing goals. They have to deal with the German noise limits but that's fortunately not much of a problem here. I get a kick out of the fact that my little brother bought a 2017 Chevy SS with a software selection for "Sport Mode" that has a factory Cut-Out in the exhaust! When I was a kid, cut-outs were either bolt-on or wire-controlled and they would get you a fat ticket if you got caught by the cops. Now you can them straight from the factory! ;^)

    Yes, super quick on the highway! BMW does a great job with their performance. I would also prefer the V10 if it didn't have such an awful transmission... I'm on the fence of getting one of these or the Panamera Turbo S of the same year. Hmmm

    Matt, I spanked a bolt on e60 M5 V10 with a stock e60 535i xdrive Cobb stage 1 Aggressive LT ecu remap. The M5 e60 sound great but cannot handle twin turbo cars.

    • @sethherron313

      then it's not really stock is it

    • @vernonprice5986
      @vernonprice5986 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Ocean City - Yeah if you have an aggressive ECU remap then your car is not stock since it's making more boost than it does when it's stock. It's also the definition of "not stock" in terms of your warranty, as they will deny any claims as long as your ECU is modified.
      Also saying it "can't handle" twin turbo cars is impressively stupid. If I have an N/A 700 HP C6 Z06 and I beat your ass on the freeway like a red headed stepchild, does that mean turbo cars "cannot handle" N/A cars?
