Girl you are just TOO AMAZING ! Using a sponge for a ombre beats using a brush any day . Those flames are HOT !! Love ya and your work !! Shes a " Flame Thrower " !
I love them all but the clear flame one on the ring finger is the best, keep on keeping on u r fabulous and I wish I had a small portion of your talent love ya Kirsty well done love from Jill
I was trying to figure out why it looks weird to me and I figured it out!! It doesn’t matter at all really, but the colors are reversed for the direction you are drawing the flames. The base of the flames should be yellow (or even white) while the tips are red. The hotter the fire the less red and more white it is. So fire, in real life, looks reddest at the tips. But it doesn’t matter at all and it is so stunning and I love both of the styles! The clear one is super cool! You are so talented!! Edit: I did a quick search for hot rod flames and it looks like they are always yellow at the base. Oh even the fire emoji 🔥 is like that too! Anyways, great design!
I am the same way, I find it funny how people are like "how do you do everything with those loooong nails" and we're like how do you function properly without them😜 I love your work, you've inspired me to start. Let me tell you girrrl as hard as it is you make it look so easy!
Although I'm starving, I had to finish watching the video first! I admit I was not expecting to have the black fill in the nail but it made sense since it was left unpolished and the flames went over the ombre. I think the transparent nail is more beautiful but the others look great with it.
I love this set! It looks more like a set I would do, mostly because I never put $25 worth of crystals on any one set. It would be a FANTASTIC design if one were going to a really big car show like Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada. Especially if one were a trophy girl or even Miss Hot August Nights, herself! I was never a trophy girl at a car show, but I was the trophy girl at an Appaloosa (the [usually] spotted rump breed) horse show once. It was a very fun weekend! The costumed horse and rider competition was the *best* part. Some of the riders went with a Native American theme with girls in buckskin miniskirt-length tunics with lots of fringe and bead work, riding "war painted" horses bareback, wearing moccasins or even barefoot. Others were more like proper Victorian ladies riding side saddle in their jewel-toned velvet riding jackets, a man dressed for a fox hunt, top hat, red waist coat, tan jodhpurs, lacy white shirt, English riding boots and English saddle, one was a circus theme, one was an Arabian theme with a fez, a scimitar and curly-toed shoes, and his wife was dressed like Jasmine from Aladdin, long before there was a Disney Aladdin movie. Even 40 years later I can see all of those gorgeous costumes like it was yesterday. Kirsty would have loved the costumed horse and rider category. There was bling *everywhere!* Hundreds of hours of sequin work, beading work, rhinestones and even little mirror bits on everything. It was truly glorious!
Adam, I love when you read my comments, too. Someday we simply MUST meet. I buy a single lottery ticket every time the pot gets really big, and maybe, just maybe, one day I'll win. Or maybe my son will finally find his perfect job and then he might take me on a tour of the British Isles, it is where half of our ancestors were from, after all. My maternal grandmother was 100% English, and my maternal grandfather was Scottish (clan Gunn,) English and Native American. We have promised each other this trip someday, if we can ever afford it, with ever-increasing prices and a stagnant pay scale.
You could put a mermaid-type powder on the gradient's top coat, and top coat it again, and then paint the black. That might be harder on the clear accent nail, unless you don't mind that the clear is also iridescent.
Omg Kirsty thank you SO much!!! Flames hv been my nemesis for years!! U just made it so easy to follow and understand! I love you!! Lol thanks again! I'll be #-ing you soon 😊
Soli Garza just make sure you do the color gradient the other way. She did it backwards compared to how it is almost always illustrated and also how fire looks in real life. The base of the flame is yellow and the tips would be the reddest. The hotter fire is the whiter it is. I was wondering why the flames looked weird to me then I figured it out, and that’s why. So either do the flames going the other way or do the gradient the other way. That will make them look way more like hot rod flames too. Even the 🔥 fire emoji illustrates how the color gradient should go.
I have a file called Kirsty’s Best and there isn’t one design that doesn’t go into it ha ha ha. They’re all the best. Love your work sooo much I actually get disappointed towards the end of every video that I’m going to have to wait for the next one. Great job as usual my love xx❤️🇦🇺
The nails look great. I was really hoping to see how you did the clear tipped flame nail, so I was disappointed that I didn't get to see that. Other than that, it was a good video 👍
I always wondered why nail artists don't use sponges for doing an ombre. It's what I use at home and mine always look awesome! Edit; Adam, you ought to have learned by now that the work might confuse you but when she's done, the end result always makes all of us go "Ahhhhh, I see!" 😘😘
AccordingToCrys the creepiest comment I’ve ever left said “I love listening to you breathe” lmao! It’s an ASMR channel and she was slicing a chunk of dried Ajax powder and the mic picked up her breathing. It was a nice sort of rhythmic soft sound that accompanied the slicing sounds. So wanting to be kristy’s friend seems unbelievably normal compared to that, right!? You’re welcome lol!
aliza goehner 😂😂😂😂 OH MY Aliza!!! You definitely get the Creepster Award 🏆!! That gave me serial killer vibes but I also think it’s HILARIOUS! 😂😂😂🤣 Also- dried Ajax powder!?! Lmao this comment is all kinds of funny! Lol
AccordingToCrys lmao!!! Glad I could get an award for something! Haha! Yeah she will mix water with Ajax powder or washing powder then let it dry in a container and then pops it out and slices it with a knife, kinda like soap cutting but weirder and more niche asmr. I’ve listened to asmr almost every day for like... 2 years straight haha! So I’m pretty deeeeeep into it!
WOW! I cannot wait to try this, I really struggle with ombre looks using gel polish. I am very curious about the sponge you used, it looks rather dense, almost silicone like ? I feel like if the sponge is too porous it won't work too well? Any advice or recommendations! Love your work Kirsty!
there is an easier way to do that gradient that you did for the flames if you had put the colors in a strip on the sponge then patted the nail with it you would of gotten the same effect in less coats :) i do this trick a lot and use liquid latex for an easy clean up
Do you have to sponge each colour on separately? Or are you able to put all 3 colours on at once like you would a normal polish? The design looks amazing!
Hey Kirsty love ur videos and ur really talented and hilarious!😂😂 😇 and as a younger viewer ur really easy 2 follow and I could do these nails- if I wasn't too lazy Hehehehhehehe keep up the good wrk!
Its WAYYYY easier said then done, alot of younger ladies have been doing nails for ive seen and heard 10+ years and still dont have it down to a basis, Kirsty is a god, u may see how she does it step for step but you'll NEVER be as good as Kirsty Meakins
OMGosh everything on your website is sold out! I think you’re underestimating your popularity and will need to make triple orders from now on ha ha ha. I’ll have to wait I guess ❤️🇦🇺
Jillian Lewis from what I know, ya throw it away or rip off the soiled parts. Perhaps you could try to use something to try to clean it, but I can’t imagine that going well because it would break the sponge down or make little linty sponge pieces when you use it again. Edit: typo - repeated word.
What type of sponge is this? I heard make up sponge, but when i google that all i see are beauty blenders. I've tried a different kind of sponge before and couldn't get the ombre to work with gel polish.
The type of sponge definitely makes a difference but I think the opacity and thickness of your gel polish also makes an impact. Difference brands with different forms will perform differently.
Girl you are just TOO AMAZING ! Using a sponge for a ombre beats using a brush any day . Those flames are HOT !! Love ya and your work !! Shes a " Flame Thrower " !
Beautiful set of hotrod nails
Przepiekne😍uwielbiam Panią oglądać. Tworzy Pani prawdziwe cuda na paznokciach. Pozdrawiam i życzę miłego dzionka 😉
Wow, that ombré turned out great with with sponge.
Your talent knows no bounds. Also, I love the way you say "adhesion." 💜😘
Andrea has had so many great sets but, I really love these flames!
Those nails are SMOKIN HOT 🔥!!!
I love them all but the clear flame one on the ring finger is the best, keep on keeping on u r fabulous and I wish I had a small portion of your talent love ya Kirsty well done love from Jill

I love these flames! Can't wait to try these!
I just started nail school, so I'll be watching a lot more than I used to 😁
I am the same way, I find it funny how people are like "how do you do everything with those loooong nails" and we're like how do you function properly without them😜 I love your work, you've inspired me to start. Let me tell you girrrl as hard as it is you make it look so easy!
each month could you do a design based on the current star sign?
Jasmin Lockhart oh god. Why?
Hi I would love to see green frog nails I love frogs, I think little 3d frogs would be amazing
Omg ❤ love the flames and these nails are Fire 🔥 you are an inspiration!!
Absolutly Beautiful !!!!!
Love it. Going to try this out. I’m not good with gel ombre’s. Hope it works out as well for me as it did for you.
Although I'm starving, I had to finish watching the video first! I admit I was not expecting to have the black fill in the nail but it made sense since it was left unpolished and the flames went over the ombre. I think the transparent nail is more beautiful but the others look great with it.
I am totally LIVING for this set! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Love a Primark bargain! Bought some packs of biodegradable glitter from there last week £2 per pack! 😍
Stunning! 😍😍😍
Beautiful you make it look so easy
Awesome set of nail. I would have to do black base blue and purple flame with maybe a green outline.
Amazing talent!!! All the nails looked amazing❤
First timer here, just wanted to say love your work and would love to see a fifties inspired nail set.
They're awesome! I love the way the black sets off the ombre colours. That yellow is painfully bright though lol.
These are amazing!
Gorgeous nails!
Love the nails beautiful as always!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯
Those are friggin Awesome!!!

How cool...
Totally awesome.
How cool is that!!!
Absolutely LOVE these! My only critique would be that the flame parts needed something like an iridescent glitter that would make that ombre sizzle!
You could put a mermaid-type powder on the gradient's top coat, and top coat it again, and then paint the black. That might be harder on the clear accent nail, unless you don't mind that the clear is also iridescent.
Hermoso!!!
Admiro mucho tu trabajo y destreza eres un ejemplo chingon!!!🤩😘✌️🌹🌹

Question: I do my own nails and I have a very long nail bed I feel if I put the Apex were it needs to be the nail looks very unbalanced what do I do?
i love you kirsty!
How would you go about cleaning that sponge? I love how it ombred! This is a cool set! I mean a HOT🔥set!! Lol
Jillian Lewis from what I know, ya throw it away or rip off the soiled parts. Perhaps you could try to use something to try to clean it, but I can’t imagine that going well because it would break the sponge down or make little linty sponge pieces when you use it again.

What brand of brush are you using for the acrylic??
how long does it usually take you to do a full set??
