There is a location on Mars, I forget the exact name, but it is DEEP within a crater roughly 7km down. The pressure actually increased to be somewhat similar to Earth, and it is thought that small pockets of denser oxygen rich atmospheres exist down there. It may be possible to colonize that location and we could survive in a small area without a suit

Well, this video shows you just how the human body alone would react to a different planet in our solar system other than the earth. The video doesn't take into account any technological help, like space suits, space stations or any kind of radiation shield.
Elon sure is not the first one with ideas to survive on mars, i would suggest you take a look at the book:
      "Project Mars: A Technical Tale"
      from Wernher von Braun.
It shows ideas and solutions to possible problems and is just one of many books of many people with the same drive, Elon is just the one that got the money to realise it ;D.

No we don't not yet. It would actually probaly be a safer bet to hollow out orbiting asteroids and somehow getting them to spin very fast. This would create artificial gravity on the inside. This would also be very self efficient in terms of minable resources as you could mine the asteroid as your live on it. Rinse and repeat, don't mine a few asteroids and let civilians live on them, and you have a cost efficient way to let the human population safely grow.

Why exactly would your organs rupture on Mars? You can be in the vacuum of space and even though you'd probably pass out immediately with both of your lungs collapsed, you'd still have a few minutes to survive (assuming someone else was there to get you out of the vacuum and manages to re-inflate your lungs).

I wonder if you could stay on the border between hot and cold on Mercury, because one side is very hot and the other very cold, I would think the border between the two would possibly be pretty comfortable. It would even be practical if Mercury's rotation is slow enough for you to stay at that comfortable spot for maybe a couple of days. However this doesn't at all discuss everything else you would need to survive on Mercury. I'm sure mostly everything else would still be a problem.

So what about the atmosphere? You probably can't breathe it. But how thick is the atmosphere? How high is the pressure? Could you survive in those zones with room temperature just with a breathing mask like in Avatar?

My question is, would we be actually able to live on a planet other then Earth? Think about it, Isn’t there a planet that is like almost like Earth? Isn’t it Mercury? Because there’s a hot and cold border or something, what if you stood where the hot and cold line IS, and where it’s a bit hot but a bit cold, like just between? Would you survive?? We have to take care of our mother, Earth before though, What if some of the people were split up into groups? Some lived on Mercury, Some on Earth? Now, people have to stop littering, and actually take care of Earth.. It breaks my heart knowing that a ton of people are currently trying to save Earth and some are littering anyways.. I hope that sometime we can take care of Earth, and move to a different planet to take care of that one. If that makes sense

If the sun is on the left in your model, why are the planets lit from the right?

I don't think so, unless that planet's atmosphere is similar to what we're used to here on Earth..

If Rim World has taught me anything, I can survive for at least a day or two.

If we burn a matchstick, or simply make a spark or some sort of fire, will the entire atmosphere(or atleast the methane part of it) of Neptune and Uranus burn away?

No, since there’s pretty much no oxygen there

You can survive as long as you have supplies.

      What supplies?

@@tiamacklin9442 You can survive on just about any moon or planet indefinitely if you construct underground. If you have a steady stream of shipments like food, extra parts, & employee transfers it's really no big deal. Kinda like being stationed on an island or Antarctica.
