It Has Nothing To Do With "Media Training". It Seems That Way Due To The Dumbed Down, Thugged Out, Unable To Conjugate Nouns & Verbs That Has Become The Norm With The "Artists" Of Today. The Bar Is So Low, That Simply Being Able To Articulate One's Thoughts And Answer Questions With Good Diction Seems Other Worldly. The Truth Is...THAT'S SAD👌🏿!
Mobbstability was just as good as Adrenaline Rush but it just had different type of beats but they all still went hard asf it's just that Adrenaline Rush was the first to do it that way 💯
Thank you for asking about Middle of the night. When it dropped I remembered it being tight but I forgot all about it. Fast-forward to like 05 and I found it again. Twista killed that track from the beginning! I played it like it had just came out!
That "Temptations" moment is something special no matter who you are. When I first heard our song on the radio walking down the street bumping from someone's car, it made me feel proud
Love that Twista gave it up for 8ball and MJG like a real Man 💯💯. Say what you want, Twista a Legend. Wish we coulda had a Twist, Do or Die, JP, 8ball & MJG 20 song project.
I'm from Out West, Chicago. I remember havin' the "12" inch vinyl of "Hocus Pocus" by "Tung Twista" & seein' him when it 1st dropped, on Laramie & Adams at the "Flight Zone"...years later, it was SUPER inspiring to see him around the neighborhood bendin' down Laramie & Chicago Ave. in his black Lamborghini Gallardo.
A little known fact..that Middle Of The Night Remix was actually recorded on a different track than what was released. It was recorded on a T-Mix track but was released on a Crazy C track.
B high man you be coming up with some great questions to the artist.😂 I don't think anybody is better at your position nor could anybody replace you at your position 💯
LEGEND STATUS not just in CHICAGO. This dude was something different af. Much love n respect. U got me through n got me into bs 😆 FACTZ. CHITOWN STAND UP.
No Twista didn't really get into quality sound until around when Legit Ballaz was produced and it was after this starting point that Twista evolved musically. Up until then Twista focused too much on speed which made it hard to successfully produce for him. When he focused more on lyrics than speed he was able to be marketed successfully. Mobstability was good too. But at that point he focused more on musical quality than speed alone. Chicago's sound is interchangeable with the South and most of Twista's fans outside of Chicago are in the South. So he always gad potential for success. It wasn't Twista rapping for others then later rapping for Chicago. It was him evolving his sound to focusing on the musical value that people are looking which brought him to being a millionaire and platinum status. Summer '96 is another good album of his. However, if Twista goes back to hyper fast rapping again neglecting musical value then he's going to end up disappointed again. I can assure you that. I've had Adrenaline Rush on up and can honestly say that other that Overdose, Adrenaline Rush and others tend to like Get it Wet that he would be a hard sell.
I worked on the street team for Adrenaline Rush with Delle Del LaDre and Traxster and them up at CWAL. Great dudes and an amazing lyricist. Great times ... even though I live in Texas now I’m still a Chicago dude to my heart. I’ll always listed to a Twista album. When Jelo leaked the record to GCI it was some shit because they played it before 92.3.
This joint just showed up on my timeline, Twista been holding down a whole city for multiple years, matter of fact I remember Tung Twista, waaay b4 Twista..Lol...Another story i remember twista telling, was about when some guys was about to rob him..That story still resonates in my personal life today...Legendary artist right here mayne....-Trusno
