    all the hyperX's the core, cloud and cloud 2 are identical in terms of sound quality it's just the extra features that set them apart.

    I have had my Cloud Core’s for about 3.5-4 years and everything is fine except for worn out earpads, mic piece and braided cable is all torn up, just making sure that getting replacement earpads for the Cloud Core match with the Cloud 2. I bought them for $50 CAD back when NCIX was still around. Really impressive for $50 and even impressive for other headphones that are over $120 like my old Turtle Beach headset that broke (and wasn’t comfortable). I don’t think I’ll ever try another headset because I wear glasses and they don’t hurt at all, they’re pretty much invincable and they work on both my PC and Xbox.

    Thank you SO MUCH for this video. I was looking so hard for the mic differences between the Cloud variants, and thought that it was either the same across all Cloud variations, or that Core had the same one as Cloud II and not the same as Cloud I. This has helped me make my choice of purchase. Which will still be a Cloud, obviously ^ ^
    PS Kept thinking i would buy Audio-Technica M50 at some point, but i've always hesitated. Even the sound signature of Clouds fits me more, let alone the fact that this is a headset, not just headphones. I'm not producing music or videos: i just game and consume content, and i wasnt a headset. The decent clip-on mics cost at least $35, which makes purchasing M50's even less justified for me.
    Now if they put Cloud II mic into the Core, i would go and buy them right now. But i think i'll wait a bit for a good deal on Cloud II in my region despite i have a Siberia sound card (that old one from V2).

    • @OfficialGamesky
      @OfficialGamesky  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem. Thank you for checking out the video. I completely agree on the Cloud being a better overall headphone/headset. I use my HyperX Cloud more than any other set and they just keep getting better and better. Now if they would make a wireless HyperX Cloud I would be in heaven.

    • @Kaiyening
      @Kaiyening 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      ...or the open-back version. I keep looking at Audio-Technica ATH-PDG1 which are around $120 on Amazon now, but i could never get my hands them to test the sound. I know the mic is incredible, and i would love the wide sound stage of the open-back headphones in gaming, but i just have to listen to them first. The closed-back PG1 i could test by trying almost identical ATH-PRO5MK2 which i did not like.
      So currently i'm leaning towards Cloud II, but the open-back ATH-PDG1 just keep teasing me with that $120 tag which might not last long. However, I have tried the Clouds, and I love their sound more than anything besides the M50's.

    • @OfficialGamesky
      @OfficialGamesky  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Paul Radziyevsky the Cloud 2 are simply amazing and for the price you can't beat them. Also, the Philips SHP9500 open back headphones you can find for around $60 and then use the V-Moda BoomPro mic which you can find for $20-$30. Damn near hard to beat that combination too. Anything Audio Technica you can't go wrong with either

      Stereo genrerally has better "resolution" (determining _what_ is making a sound), but 7.1 surround - generally - gives you better spatial awareness (finding out _where_ the sound is coming from).
      *If you can afford it, **_Cloud II > Cloud I_* because you have the option to use stereo or surround with the included equipment. You can't do that with the Cloud I

    @jonathandb91 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Shit, you sold me on the Cloud 2. I was gonna go with the Cloud Core since the audio quality is all the same (great quality, 60 Ohm resistance), but damn that amplifier is dope AF.

  • @legostarwarsrulez
    @legostarwarsrulez 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Couldn't you plug the digital mic into the core/1, and the sound card into the core/1 as well? I wonder if they sell those separately.

    • @DubbleM900
      @DubbleM900 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don't know about the mic, but the Cloud 1 has two inputs for headphones and mic, while the Cloud 2 has one input for both. The problem with the 7.1 soundcard is it only has one input jack for the combined input. So the Cloud 1 isn't compatible with it.

    • @ultrasonicblader
      @ultrasonicblader 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Victorious Secret couldnt you use an adapter, and how about the cloud core?

    • @DubbleM900
      @DubbleM900 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Core also uses two inputs. Adapter should work though.
      If nothing else, you could just plug in the audio input for just the sound.
      But I don't think they sell the 7.1 deal separately. Not directly anyway. Might find one used I guess. Probably cheaper and easier to just get the Cloud 2 on sale as opposed to Core+adapter+used 7.1 dongle, if you really want that.

    First night wearing these original Hyper X Clouds and i have to agree they are great headphones. I think i like them better than my Grado sr80s, and yes i know one's open back and and the other is closed, but i got these today for nothing from my sadly deceased very good friends mom as she is going through his stuff and i've been helping her sell his tech like PS4's, games, Xbox's, Nintendo etc and she said here take these still in the box Hyper X Clouds and i really needed some closed back headphones as my Bose qc25s have started not working proper, so big ups my good friend Daniel, i will make great use of these bro, and i see you on the other side ma dude. RIP.

  • @nicholasbalser6901

    I'll stick to the logitech g430. Not the best fitting or comfy like the cloud's. But they sound much, much better. Richer base and a louder sound stage. The cloud 2's sound muted in comparison, tinny even. The mic for the cloud 2 is better, but for over all sound. G430 blows any cloud product out of the water sadly.
    Yes, I have owned them all and yes I love audio immersion.

    Wow, got the hyper x cloud 2's recently and the bass is very high compared to my original Cloud 1's possibly due to its own sound card rather than using my motherboard's on board audio (Realtek). To note, back in 2016 I got the Cloud 1's and they still work to date... built to last forsure

    Digital surround spund just fucks up the EQs, and is muddy and shitty. He made the mic sound so much better on the Cloud IIs, but the Cloud Core and Cloud have actually pretty good microphones. For the price, the Core is the best.
    Also, I would really recommend if you will be moving around a lot or not using them exclusively for PC to tape down the little cables attached to the cups so they don't get tugged. Also, make sure you don't lose the microphone, cause if it gets caught under your couch, etc, it's toast.
    I bought the Stingers too, and the mic is trash. It broke for no reason, and the prong is wobbly/bends.

    if you're looking for a budget Gaming headset with great Sound Quality and very comportable very nice packaging, u should definitely get this the mic is decent i would rate it 7.9 or 8 ouf ot 10.. the only downsinde is 7.1 surround sound bcoz sounds not good to me well i guess even the higher gaming headset like razer , logitech , corsair ,steelseries is sucks in terms of 7.1 virtual surround sound.. this is a good deal u will love this headset if u are in budget it cost $80 to $85 at this moment here in the Philippines..
