Former East Coaster here… my Dad wore his green crusher on many bird hunting and canoe tripping adventures. I don’t wear it often but bring it with me on my adventures in his memory.
I often find myself digging through my own belongings looking for the right tool and finding gear that was a loved ones. Thanks for sharing the great content as usual!
I grew up in Eugene. My grandpa was a timber cruiser and I almost never saw him without one. When he passed I asked for one and there were about 4 really worn ones that I could pick from. I went online and found them as well. I bought a red and later a green one. After years of wear mine still don't have the wear that my grandpa put on his in much less time. Happy to see the Effanem get a little attention.
Thank you Cody from Colorado I really do appreciate this. My Uncle passed away this yeand there's little things that remind me of him that you're nostalgia. For your Grandpa, it's awesome. Thank you very much for what you're doing. In all of your videos, but especially your nostalgia. Your importance, do you put towards family and remembering? The things a past that rude that means something to us.
Just want to say, your videos have been such an inspiration! As a man that grew up with a single mom and no father present to teach me anything useful, I’ve learned so much watching your content! Thank you wranglerstar. Keep it up!!
I feel the same way brother. Raised by a woman and had to learn everything on my own. Needless to say I missed a lot. Wranglestar has helped fill in a lot of the gaps. ✌🏻👊🏻
Makes no differance to me but everything you show comes to the camera reading backwards. Love the drivers licenses. Dad was state patrol and I never remember him mentioning metal licenses. Very interesting. He also wore a red crusher.
I’ve always been sentimental as well. Wonder if that is an acquired comfort or a chemistry thing. The powers that be seem to have become exceedingly efficient at division, but somehow I feel impervious because I practice grounding myself in the values of my ancestors. Thank you for sharing.
Just before you mentioned it, I was thinking to myself that your toupee was starting to look a little ragged. I’m glad to hear that it looked that way on purpose. Thank goodness for Polynesian Virgins. Where would Us folically challenged Proho’s be without their sacrifice and dedication?
West coast men have to rely on quality products produced by east coast men. Love the story. I’m fortunate to have a handful of tools from my grandfather. Wish I had one of his hunting hats. I have found memories of rabbit hunting with him behind his pack of beagles.
What a story. These shop videos always make me feel super cozy. Always such great info. Also, I think what you were trying to describe is -sovereign citizens - saw a woman get pulled over and refused to agree she needed a license to drive, which is according to the law, a privilege - not a right. 😂
Have you seen his videos just a few years ago? Had almost a buzz cut, definitely no toupee. I'm thinking he wears his hair that way to keep people talking, which is good for his channel.
@@filster1934It's a running joke on the channel. We all know he doesn't actually have one but when Cody started trolling tge trolls by joking like he had one we all jumped in and joined in on the fun. It's like that with other jokes on tgis channel as well.
texomatinker, Thanks for reminding me, my Father paid .25 cents for his drivers license, mid '30s in Kansas City. ( used to joke about growing up on the corner of 33rd&Plowed Ground, later moved in town to Bell St, KC ).
An East Coast man would never use something that smells like strawberries, although East Coast single mothers do prefer that smell. Instead, East Coast men, especially East Cost military veterans prefer Nevr-Dull, the choice of sailors and other squared-away individuals.
I am glad to hear that there is at least one other person on earth who thinks driving is a right and not a privilege. Why are people so eager to look toward a big daddy government to tell them what they can and can't do?
Our grandparents have left us some amazingly memories. Your memories are a great story. My grandfather left me some old deep-sea bamboo fishing poles. They were fairly beat up and not usable at least as a fishing pole. well, I ended up going to a school on how to build bamboo rods, and I refurbished his poles, which was the handle end only and made them walking canes. What a treasured gift.
That license/pin really brought it to a new level. I'll give it a 9.5. I kept a few things from my grandad when he passed. Union pins, belt buckles, pocket knife his brother gave him, and his dad's (my great grandfather) pocket watch. Hearing the stories of your grandad seem to hit harder now that my grandad lives on through memory and stories as well.
CODY, YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ABOUT NOT NEEDING A DRIVERS LISENCE TO TRAVEL FREELY WITHIN THE STATES. A DRIVERS LICENCE IS FOR DOING COMMERCE. THE GOV IS COMMITTING FRAUD FOR NOT EXPRESSING THAT GETTING A LICENCE TO DRIVE WOULD NULLIFY YOUR RIGHT TO TRAVEL. DRIVING IS A JOB THAT YOU GET PAID FOR. LIKE A TAXI OR UPS DELIVERY. A MOTOR VEHICLE IS AN AUTOMOBILE USED IN COMMERCE TO TRANSPORT GOODS OR TO DO SERVICES FOR PROFIT. A DRIVERS LICENCE DOES NOT CREATE A VALID CONTRACT. THE STATE SAYS THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR NOT KNOWING THE LAW.....THE LAW IS THE COMMON LAW, NOT LEGISLATED PUBLIC POLICY.....POLICY IS ENFORCED BY POLICE, NOT LAWMEN....... THEY ENFORCE THE LAWS OF COMMERCE...THOSE LAWS CREATED BY THE CONSTITUTION AND CODIFIED IN THE UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE/UCC.....
I know this question is off topic, but I can’t find any answers in searches. I have a theory on this, but hoping you’ll enlighten. Why flip videos horizontally? I’ve noticed many of your videos, and those of other channels are doing this. What is the reasoning?
Back in the shop with momma kitty and the wood stove, love to see it! Hope you're doing well Cody!
That cat is approaching Rambo checkpoint. Wranglestar goes outside not to protect cat, but to protect the wildlife from the cat.
Cody's transition into Heisenberg is progressing nicely.

I read that as canoe tipping adventures. Lol
I knew your grandparents, grew up with them! Matter of fact I was with your aunt Bobbi today! Great channel appreciate your content!
Those stove fans are KICKIN. Never seen one in operation. I'll definitely be getting some when I build my shop.
Awesome! Love hearing stories like this. I had a green crusher back in the day…
Ahh, the ol’ green-hats!

I love felt hats, Australian Akubra hats made from rabbit fur are great and last several lifetimes.
Still have my akubra from when I was a boy. My head’s grown since then but it fits my son very well
In the Northern Midwest, we wear the Ushanka. Not nearly as stylish but they really keep you warm.

all the text is mirrored in this video, is there something editors do to make it readable normally?
I think Woolrich started making them backi in the 60s or 70s. I had a forest green one I used to wear. I wonder if I still have it packed away?
