- A brief overview of how I changed the membranes on this watermaker. Dessalator has the instructions on their website, but I'm more of a visual learner. I found only one other video on TH-cam. It was helpful, but didn't cover the actual disassembly and replacement of the membranes, so I thought I'd share what I did and maybe someone will find these videos helpful.

Those 10mm gray fittings are made by SERTO. The US distributor, TEESING, was helpful with the part numbers; unfortunately, the minimum order quantities made getting them here cost-prohibitive if you only need a few.
T fitting: 33621-10-A10-10
Elbow: 32621-10-A10
Union nut: 30020-10
Ferrule: 30001-10
If inclined, you can order from Motion Industries (easier) or Fastenal.
A bit more research shows that Dessalator sells a bag of misc fittings (part#101402) for about 30 eruos (no VAT). The US distributors (BALCEN, Mauri Pro and Multi-tech Marine Services) might be another avenue. I see that Mauri Pro lists at least one of the fittings on their website.
The imperial o-ring I used for one of the interconnectors is sized 5/16" ID x 7/16" OD x 1/16" W. It's a little narrow for the groove (that was the word I was looking for!), but sealing nicely for now. This was a bit of a rush job as I wanted to get the unit back up and running ASAP. I ordered the (3) membranes on Thursday for delivery on Friday (only $700) and did the bulk of the job on Saturday. In a perfect world, I would have spare factory-spec o-rings (or new interconnectors) on hand before tackling this job. My plan is to order a spare set of interconnectors (they come with new o-rings) and that misc bag of plumbing fittings.
10/18/22 UPDATE: One of the interconnector seals failed at the end of the 2022 season. It wasn't catastrophic, just a slight trickle of salt water. I had ordered the replacements from Dessalator and replaced them today. Interestingly, the new connectors are plastic, which makes sense, as the original stainless ones had quite a bit of corrosion. The connector that failed was the one that had the aftermarket o-rings fitted.
Interconnector part: 102581 (17euros).
