These are so well thought out, as usual Don. I have seen the original trays that didn't make it decorating the shop and I felt for you with that one. I'm so glad for how much dedication you put into each item and tea you have for us. Thank you.
The bamboo satellite looks almost exactly like my tea tray! My dad and I took some bamboo flooring we had left-over and made a tea tray in his woodshop. We included the hole for the strainer and did horizontal slats across the top. It's a really great size for one.
These tea pots are a work of art. Master Wu Chaozhou Clay Pot - Nafu wow just extraordinary.

I have finally put an order in for the Gong Fu Code. So excited and I also wanted to tell you that your channel has really enhanced my life so much. I now enjoy trying different teas and brewing them properly and I decided to invest in MYSELF and THE MOMENT and get this tea tray. Looking forward to meeting my tea pet!
In the future will there be other pets you can buy for ot to use as a counter? I made one for a cheap bamboo try using a mini figure of a dragon and put a metal rod into it and drilled in the bamboo. Would be cool to have options imo.
i just bit the bullet and finally bought one! my old fully bamboo tray is stained to no end and is very tired and almost cracking 😅 im embarrassed to serve guests with it! I'm so happy and excited. i can't wait to unbox my own!

The etching on the metal looks like a better design, Don. The Guru’s design looks great, but traps water and is hard to get completely dry.

Morse code, or as we commonly refer to it today, CW (continuous wave), is an aural language, so it takes a lot longer to read it visually. Those characters are too close together, but can still read it.
I'm trying to decode it but the online translator isn't working with what I'm putting in.... it's just short, long, and a space right? I wouldn't want to buy something without knowing what it says as much eastern religion as there is in teaware
Carmelo Santini try typing in what Don said whats on the board and put it in morse code. Compare your code with the one on the tray. Should be the same.
Sometimes it‘s easier to start at the end.

You are not mistaken. At least the photo at the shop is just as you stated. There is also an s missing from passion on the larger code.

On the satellite, the top board is missing the Morse code "te" on the end of "evaporate" in the quote. It says Evapora when translated lol
Yes, I was translating from the photo on the sales website and spent a lot of time thinking there's no way they made a mistake. But they did. I think the larger tray, the code is missing an s in passion, too.
@@heidikeifer4115 The s isn't actually missing. In the picture on the website the s is on the next line, under the handle, so it isn't visible. You can see it at 10:10 in the video.

Hi Don. I have the code, bought it a couple of months ago, but find that the copper tray stains badly is seems impossible to clean.
Any tips on how to clean this?
I love your explanation about how tea is to be enjoyed beyond being just a beverage. I have matcha tea first thing in the morning every day and it feels so warm and soothing going down. Smooths out all the rough edges, especially if I've had a restless night. I enjoy my Gong Fu brew in the afternoon. Will you be doing anymore supermarket tea testing in the future? Very entertaining as well as informative. :)

How could you have possibly known to combine Tea and CW (morse code - hi hi )? How I would love to have this set but alas, I need to put aside the rather large number of Australian dollars for my radio fund. A lovely set and mindfully thought out. love the code, but ~145$ seems rather extreme? how much did the guru cost?
Curious myself.. I know a lot of jade or clay or other material tea table things cost 150-300 USD so I thought it was also a lot for a tea board. Watching this to find out why, and obviously hear about all the awesome things it does

Why the strainer? I thought the Gong Fu makes a setup that doesn’t need a strainer…?
I purchased one of the last Gong Fu Gurus. Maybe I should have waited until the new Gong Fu Code. But I don't really regret it, I love the Guru.

Hello, I recently discovered your channel and it amazes me.
If someone asked me a week ago if I were a tea drinker I would definitely said yes (min. 1l/day).
If someone would ask me now I would hesitate to answer.
So for a total beginner in eastern style tea making and only familiar with sencha and a whole lot of black teas.
Is there a chart for tea types with their corresponding water temperature? I only find charts to western style methods. Although the temperature couldn‘t be that wrong I would like to hear your opinion.
What about Oolong, PuErh, White, Green, Yellow tea.
Which temperatures for those?
For a kind worker like me tea is an expensive joy and the last thing I want to do is ruin a good tea by wasting some cups using the wrong temperatures.

@@marcegalbo There is a place at the top right of your screed to click see the cart, at the bottom of viewing the pop up window of the cart, you will see the Brittish flag, click that and you will see the US flag pop up next to it. Click the US flag. It translates to dollars.

Positiv-Tea!! I am so inspired by the thoughtfulness to the design of the Gongfu Code and Satellite. Love the messages of the Code! It's a Great Vehicle for making and bonding with friends.
I will never understadn using 5 % of materials and marketing it for 130+
even on 50 this would be a premium tabled, when I visited china there where so many nicely designed tea trays for not even a fraction that where bigger and where nicely made some of them even per hand.
and this cost somewhat 130 the materials combined don`t even reach 5 bucks. I just don`t understand it. Tea culture is not about this.. why is there no good online stor ethat sells the onc ethat are traditional. why is it nearly cheaper to fly privately to china get a tray and a dozen bring them back and selling them here and even then for half the price to get my money back and still being cheaper than this tray?

Ah thanks for reading us what it says facing you so you don't have to decode the top every time. I wouldn't want to buy something with some new age inscription or something that would clash with the way I conduct my life. I like the code, and that you were respectful to all peoples. I'm also glad you didn't make a tea pet to hop that is too wuwu. I love tea pets, but I'm not interested in gathering luck/fortune magic from tea rituals from them as some of them historically are for from my understanding . I just want to be healthy and in the moment with tea and share it with people without them thinking I'm doing voodoo
