I WAS THERE, the security guards me singing every word to burnout on the side so they upgraded my family to seats right up front, I was sobbing of happiness.
Thanks for sharing what is a great story. It just proves that there are good people out there and that nice things can happen. My son and I went to see them at Old Trafford in Manchester. It was his first time seeing them and my seventh. His Mum had surprised us both tickets and we didn’t realise where in the ground they were for until we went in and found ourselves right at the front of the stage ahead of the fencing. Totally unexpected but I don’t think it made any difference to the fact we truly had the night of our lives. It’s nine weeks since seeing them and I don’t think I’ve gone a day without mentioning how amazing they were. I’d honestly say that they are right at the top of their game (as they are in this footage) and put on the very best performance I’ve seen from them. Absolutely blew me away. I’d consider it fortunate enough to watch them blast through Dookie and American Idiot back to back, but to also get six tracks from Saviours, Know Your Enemy, Brain Stew, Good Riddance and (a personal favourite) Minority was just exceptional. It made for an unbelievable night. My absolute highlight (there were so many) had to be FOD. It hadn’t been included in the set the last two times I’d seen them so I didn’t ever think I’d hear it live again. I’m gutted for you (along with every single other person there that night) for having your night cut short because of an approaching storm. The important thing to consider was you had a fantastic night and all arrived home safe. Apologies for going on and boring you senseless. Best wishes from North Wales 🏴

Thank you for recording this, I was at this concert. I was in the front row on the left, and my face could feel the heat every time the flames shot out.

Thank you so much for this recording! I was to see them in Hershey and the show was cancelled...biding my time till the rescheduled show happens. In the meantime, I'm enjoying these vids!
Great show, setlist, and high energy! The video lag on their screens drove me crazy though. Video didn't match Billie's mouth when singing. I would figure something that basic would have been worked out in the first few minutes but it lagged the whole show.
2nd row to the right right in front of sign interpreter.....My 13 yr olds 1st concert & Dirnt handed ( not tossed) him a pick!!! Fuckin awesome show & I don't care got drenched in rain waiting to leave 🤘😎🤘
I think the timing for saviors was a year off. They absolutely made the right call playing dookie and American idiot in full for their 20 and 10 year anniversary, but releasing saviors the same year as this tour and calling it the saviors tour only to barely play any songs from it makes no sense. I think they should’ve done this anniversary tour and released saviors later in the year or next year so they could do the actual saviors tour next year and actually play the album. That would also free up the 2024 tour to play more classics alongside dookie and American idiot. They basically had to sacrifice most of saviors to fit some classics in so that the whole show wasn’t just songs from three albums. Only other thing they could’ve done was a three hour set but damn 2 and a half is insane enough to do day in day out going city to city. They must be exhausted
Conversely, people are buying tickets to hear the only albums they give a shit about possibly and are having new songs rammed down their throats. By the way it's 30th and 20th anniversaries.
And plus their shows are still so fucking awesome! I still can’t figure out how they do it and they are not teenagers anymore. That is one thing why I LOVE GREEN DAY SO MUCH!!!!!❤️
@@joepermenter7228 yeah that’s why I said saviors should’ve just been released next year so they could do an actual saviors tour instead of calling the dookie and American idiot anniversary show “the saviors tour”. They should’ve done the anniversary tour separately from the saviors tour instead of mixing them together because like you said most aren’t seeing this show for the new stuff so they are getting ripped off every time greenday plays a new song instead of a classic. On the other side of the coin there are those like myself who really love saviors and feel ripped off that most of the album won’t be played. They could’ve satisfied everyone by doing dookie, other classics, and American idiot for the anniversary followed by a real saviors tour that actually showcases the whole album in 2025. Releasing saviors this year tied their hands and made them have to shove new songs down the throat of people who don’t wanna hear them while preventing them from playing great songs from saviors for those who do want to hear them. Now nobody can walk away from the show feeling like they got the best experience they could get because the show is all over the place thematically
@@joepermenter7228 don’t get me wrong I’ll be dead from fatal dehydration from crying tears of joy when I see them, but there are a lot of songs on saviors I wanted to hear on the saviors tour that I might never hear live now. Because if they don’t play “saviors” during the saviors tour, when will they ever?
@@sknnyd2676 Fair point that they won't nail a thematic album viewpoint type of show illustrating a title track, but that's definitely a throwback Green Day move given they only had one title track until 2000 with Warning and that was the band's name on an album not even titled Green Day. Also, I think Dilemma fits in with songs like Having a Blast or Chump in that it's a power hitter and you probably could toss that song on Dookie after Basket Case or She with that era's mixing style and it would fit right in. It's also probably the punkest move they can make since like I said people are probably paying for the attraction of hearing those(their two biggest) albums in their entirety. I've noticed they're rotating songs off the new album other than the singles so it's not like they aren't trying to push new material per usual. If you wanna try biggest controversies, so called, it would probably be them ignoring Insomniac....again; but I guess that's what everyone gets since it's their Pinkerton.
@@BeardGuy-vz8tnI had a friend who was working concert security there that night. They took off their security shirts because the crowd was attacking them. My lawyer worked in the STL county prosecuting attorney's office at the time. He talked to responding officers who said they "would hit anything that moved" with their nightsticks. They called it "Free stick night". There are some TH-cam videos that show the riot in detail. The ampitheatre had literally just opened when that happened. I live about three miles away but I wasn't there that night. Been there many other times.
