    What happens if the examiners is not knowledgeable about your invention, it's an invention it is the first.

      They will learn about your invention of course once they read it. However, they will be very familiar with your technology. Examiners are assigned to technology areas called “art units”.     I was curious about the maximum amount of time it would take for the software art unit? And how long it takes to prepare the patent application. You said that it takes up to 12 months for pre filing and 1-3 months for the application and prosecution takes up to four years. Is it possible that a patent could take up to 63 months to issue the entire process? What is the likeliest time it takes for software to issue especially back in 2014-2015
