The best way I found out to shut out the world for a while is to pick a location to go and ride until I'm ready to get back in the swing of things, Like I told my ex wife, I came home from work one evening and I told her that I was going for a ride three days later I was back in the swing with things I'm not talking about driving a car either.
JBG good thing your company picks up the tab on all truck expenses. Just image you as an owner/op just paying for fuel alone never mind tires pm service parts replacement labor downtime. ..one needs a wealth of resources just to stay afloat....
1965-73 MGB GT. They went to rubber overriders in early 74, then big ugly rubber bumpers mid yr, so that's why i said 73 or earlier. They built a C model but they had a modified hood (bonnet) :-) to clear the radiator and carbs, whereas this one has a smooth hood.
It's nice to be a driver when the truck breaks down. Don't know if owner/operators make much more since they have to pay for their own repairs and fuel.

Hi JBG, Does watching the WEL mandatory video mean that they expect you to crawl under the truck and check your slack adjusters travel on every pre-trip?
George Travers Well, I just got through watching a 15 minute video on airbrakes and slack adjusters. That being said you don't have to explain to me about that. I guess I knew about how the brakes worked but now I know what a slack adjuster is and never adjusted slack. My mechanic always did any work on the brakes.
George Travers It sure sounds that way to me........they maybe thinking since hes doing the Cali runs hes not at the yard so they can stay on top of the brakes being adjusted right so.........we shall see guess we will hear the answer to that soon.......Graduation of watching the video small tool box....lol

That car @ 9.27 is an MGB GT .and was made by British Leyland in Britain in the 1979s.
MG stands for Morris's Garage and GT for Grand Tourer.

9:24, that is an MG MGC. Basically a coupe form of the MGB.

When I drove, we were responsible for our slack adjusters on the tractor, and trailer, Do they tell you that your not suppose to adjust them John?
