Been playing a lot Tin Helm and Gate (with Gates expansions) recently, great small games from Jason Glover. So, I ordered everything for Iron Helm a week ago. can't wait to try it out. I am also waiting for a copy of DustRunner from the recent crowdsale. Jason's games deserve a lot more attention, all of them are very simple but very clever and engaging games.
I've got the PNP of this game some time ago but never really played it. Thank you Colin, as always when I watch your playthroughs I don't have even to read the rulebook! It looks fun, I'll give it a go now!

Thanks for the playthrough Colin! I'm still undecided if this is a game for me, but time is running out on the crowd sale! Defence does seem to be the way to go though, with your Divine Plate, it almost feels like you could potentially just sit and punch enemies to death slowly.
I like killing things...in games 😂 Enjoying the playthrough so far! I've got the base game and a few expansions and really do enjoy it quite a bit. That game-mat looks great!

Great play through as always. I have watched several times as I am patiently waiting on my copy. I have one question. It was mentioned several times about raising encumbrances. How is this done? I have read what rules I can find, but have not seen a reference to this. Thanks!
Nice playthrough Colin! I was thinking of getting this and/or Quest for the Lost Pixel, since Gamecrafter has summer sales, but the shipping costs + customs for Greece are enormous :( Have you tried Quest for the Lost Pixel btw?

At the end you had a defence of 7, which is insane. Do you think the game is a bit easy or you were lucky in this playthrough? Worried about balance
It is not balanced I don't think. Sometimes you walk through and other times you get destroyed. If you are looking for a balanced game I'd recommend looking elsewhere

This seems like such a nice game, but seems like such few components for 200 bucks. The expansion packs are just a handful of cards…. Is the value really there, or does one pay for the novelty mostly?

@@OneStopCoopShop You were re-rolling 1&2s using the mace vs Undead. Then you swapped it with Icehack (which gives +3 vs frost, but no rerolls) at 29:36. For the rest of the playthrough you continued to reroll 1s&2s, referring to the Icehack. I then caught you quote the reroll to the Axe Mastery skill, but I didn't see you ever get that? I noted the Berserk and Hawking abilities, but if you also got Axe mastery I must have missed it, apologies. Otherwise, I thought you were attributing the mace's ability to the Icehack...
Well they ship world-wide and charge no US sales tax AFAIK ... so unless your country has a specific duty on importing of games, you should only have to pay the shipping + local sales tax to get it imported. I just went mad and bought it ALL for shipping to the UK.
This was really well produced and an exciting dungeon dive.

With that amount of defense and Eydis, I'd be definitely murdering every enemy with only punches, 8 prevention and 2 dmg punches are no joke.

Yeah it is a hard choice on this one. Fun but sometimes you can get hosed in the beginning or just blow through it like I did!

Awesome playthrough and little adventure in this box! Pretty sure when you pay a ration at the end of each level you get an energy back also.

Cyclops question deals 9 or more damage is that before or after any reductions seems very unlikely it will ever do 9 damage after reductions ?

Did you play the axe as if it was the mace?
