    I usually don't post negative comments but I just hate moments like @30:00 where Elon answers her question with something deeply profound. And she inmediatly replies with something about space pollution without even acknowledging his answer... Like brah at least say... "I see your point" or something.

    I think this was an excellent host. No hype, simply direct questions and direct answers. She was the antithesis of the typical TV host, who use a lot of emotion and hyperbole, yet notice how many times she got Musk to laugh, loud and hearty. Great interview, all around.

      These questions are asked of Musk 24/7. That's why I'm GLAD that she asked him "different" questions. It gave me an additional view into his mind. He seemed to enjoy it, too. Simply count how many times he actually laughed, then make the same tally in his other interviews. You may have been bored, but he certainly wasn't.

    Excellent thoughtful conversation here. For those criticizing the interviewer Kara Swisher, she's been a prominent tech reporter for well over 20 years and has the seniority to ask Elon hard questions. You'll notice he's giving respectful answer most of the time rather than just clowning her (as he does with a lot of critics).

    One of the geniuses in tech, business and leadership in our time. I had my doubts about Tesla long-term, but he made a believer out of me. SpaceX, Starlink, Boring Company, Hyperloop, AI projects, solar power, and the list goes on and on. He was toying with an electric jet airplane but paused because he said his head may explode. He’ll likely quit it all in a few years and just work on SpaceX and the Mars project.

      One of the reasons he started Neurolink was to try to address the impediment of having to translate quick and complex thoughts into words, language. He rather sees it more effective to communicate thoughts as they happen directly to the receiver without the barrier and intricacies of words.

    The interviewer is simply not competent to conduct this interview. When one refers to, "shares," of crypto going up and down in price, one is not qualified to interview Elon Musk. It's fine to not be qualified, but she presumably knew she'd be interviewing Elon for some period of time before the interview. The degree to which she was so poorly prepared and clearly not read-into the various germane topics is unprofessional in the extreme and disrespectful to the audience and to Elon Musk.

      I think that’s by design. Her basic questions coerce the interviewee to speak in more rudimentary language so the average layman can understand the complex concepts

    Always happy to hear from Elon but wish he took a stance on CCP’s recent crackdown on entrepreneurs in China. Understand why and it might even be justifiable but its really unfortunate, of all people his honest input could make a real difference.

    Man, the interviewer was clearly recovering from an illness, you'd think they could have found a replacement interviewer. Although she seems awesome.
    Maybe it's just me, but listening to her try to talk causes me physical discomfort. Ultimate cringe. I can't stand it.
    Like good questions, you're a trooper, but go drink some tea and rest that voice, damn.

    Elon, what happens if we have another massive forest fire in the future where a cloud of smoke covers the sun for days if not weeks? Were thousands of homes and our power grid is reliant on solar as supplemental power to make the whole system work? Wouldn't that be a huge risk factor?

      Once we are able to store excess power then this won’t be an issue. By the time solar is the primary energy source we’ll have battery technology that dwarfs the current state.

      @@dannypapes8380 A volcanic eruption can block the sun for months. Wouldnt that cause issues with power storage solutions especially if they are heavily reliant on solar? It seems a combination of nuclear and renewables is the only solution for our future.

      We will have nuclear fusion or just regular fision. We can then store the energy as H2 and that makes it even transportable.
      Technology is the future, that includes nuclear.

    I think where Elon is successful, and other companies aren’t able to catch up is that he doesn’t manufacture anything (bear with me). In Elon’s eyes, Tesla is not a car manufacturer like BMW, Mercedes etc (which is blinkered), but a part of a much bigger vision to improve society. Yes, they’re vehicles, but they’ll interact with other things, from his tunnels, to his solar and batteries, and now phones.
