My i-20 form has personal funds as the source of my deficit. But I secured an Mpower Financing loan. Is that going to be a problem, or must my i-20 carry education loan as source of funding for my deficit.

hi Doyin! thanks for info...would like to seek your opinion about taking a loan more than the tuition. say taking a loan of $40k whiles sch fees is $30k. Difference is intended to support cost of living. Could this possibly raise a flag to visa consular?

the loan letter is not enough. as of today you need extra 20k CAD to show as proof of fund aside tuition fee proof

You need to present a proof of fund to your university before getting your i20. So use the one you sent to the university

Okay Doyin..so I shouldn't give the interviewer at the embassy the impression that I wouldn't be coming back after my study program..noted. But Doyin, what if in actuality I'm not coming back or better still, I would not be coming back for a long time, as I would need to work over there to pay back my loan, do I still give them the impression that I will be coming back too?
Yes, otherwise your visa application will be rejected

Please how did you do it
Get an admission first and apply for the loan application after you have gotten admission. When you're applying consider the total cost of the programs which will be given by the school.
However get your unexpired passport, transcript, diploma and one family reference set before applying to speed up the process. It took my three days to get my loan approval letter.
Additionally, make sure to choose a STEM qualified program of graduate level and have the duration of max 2yrs .

Anyone in your family can be your reference.. especially your father, Husband, wife or pastor. They'll ask for reference
Please 🙏🙏🙏 help me, l am sucked. I wanted to apply for loan in Mpower for bachelor degree in Nursing with admission from Miami University and was told not eligible. Does it that Mpower and Prodigy don't give loan to bachelor degrees.
Mpower doesn't give loan to any program that's more than two years

Hi Doyin...I have an issue. I got my i-20, I got an approved loan from Mpower. But does my i-20 need to reflect my Mpower loan. My funding is categorized under personal funds and scholarship. It does not specify that the personal funds is from a loan or savings.
Do i need to reach the school to update my i-20 to reflect my loan?

Yes it’s a personal fund to you so when you are being asked at the embassy then you tell them you have secured a loan of so and so from Mpower to finance your education….

Do you think its advisable to travel to UK with student loan. I would love to travel out,but I can only afford for my visa and ticket, and I have a place I stay in the UK just the Tuition and getting a job is my concern
No, it doesn't.
MPower doesn't.
So you mean to say students loan alone is not enough. You also need some scholarship to support ryt?
If you get a loan provider to fund your 100% of your tuition + living expenses, then it's fine. However, note that this is very rare, plus, with a 100% loan, the visa officer will likely ask more questions about how you intend to repay
You always mention Prodigy giving them popularity whilst some of us think of other Loan institution... Does Prodigy pay you for promoting them?

I find it quite disturbing that Nigerian TH-camrs who have traveled abroad will keep misinforming people with fake untested information. I have not seen any study permit applicant who have been granted study permit without showing the required proof of funds for living expenses.
Hello, youre correct! You need to show proof you can afford both tuition AND living expenses.

Sorry the proof of fund from the loan company only shows funding for one year and not the 4 years of your studies.

For what country? If the US, the school wants to see how you will fund your education from start to finish. So they usually want proof for total cost of attendance
But ask the school to confirm as soon as possible
@@Doyindoccom yes it’s US….and also Salie Mea said they won’t be providing me a sponsorship letter to show as proof at embassy but I’ll be giving a loan approval letter….will that also work?
