      That's because the Sawyer Squeeze has been the most popular filter among hikers for over a decade. Not much interest in such a universally known product.

    Attach it to the bottom 20 litre bucket hanging from a tree for bulk gravity filtering for a group of people, perhaps even feeding straight into water tank under a caravan or camper trailer.

    Is it recommended to backwash it before first use?

    I just bought the SP2101 model and it doesn't have the gravity bag or the blue adapter. I'm disappointed because I can't find those parts anywhere.

      I'm not familiar with that part number, I assume it didn't come from us? It looks like most kits should include the extras. ~ Ben

    Are any of these devices third party tested and/or certified?

      As far as I am aware they all need to meet certain standards, Sawyer offer some information here for their products - www.sawyer.com/resource-categories/water-filtration. ~ Ben

    Great video, I need to get a water filter for Wild camping on Dartmoor soon, I’ve used a Sawyer mini before it was hard work getting the water through it so this one looks a lot better, does it need to dry out to be stored?

    • @SnowysOutdoors
      @SnowysOutdoors  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Good question. I'd say that if you are storing it for a long time then it would be worth drying it out, otherwise with regular use and short storage times it should be fine. ~ Ben

    That thing is hard to use when it’s new. A pain in the ass to filter even a liter of water.

    Sawyer Squize is now price gouging, raising there price from 29$ to 45.99 absolutely reduclous our troop was going to purchase these now they made it impossible. I will not use or purchase any product from the ever again. There price gouging goes against everything they stand for. Will be releasing a video on this reduclous price gouging Sawyer is doing. Do not purchase from this company. There head is getting to big and now money is more important than the mission. I have formally removed all my support and referrals for there product.

      It’s made in America. It works. Everything is more expensive to make. Everything.

      Considering it lasts a lifetime it actually comes out cheaper than a cheap BeFree that you have to replace. And Sawyer gives them for free to communities in Africa and South America that need clean drinking water. Doesn't sound greedy to me. It'd be nice if they sold the Squeeze separately to reduce the cost (no one wants those junk bags it comes with), but they'll replace it for the rest of your life. No one needs the endorsement of someone who cannot spell "their" correctly. Sawyer will continue to be the top seller of filters. Enjoy replacing filters and spending more money!

      Its actually one of the larger water filters around, and comparatively seem quite large.

      You can rip through gallons of water with this thing, especially if you run it in gravity mode with a multi gallon water bag hung above. Personally I'll never use any other kind of filter again.
