I definitely think that scene was really important for the development of their relationship! Sabine obviously sees Ezra as someone important that will always support her and has always been by her side, and he was the one that helped teach her how to use the Darksaber in the first place.
When I saw this on my feed I screamed because this is one of the songs I associate with Sabezra and this edit is so beautiful! I love all of the transitions and lyrics and all in-time with the song too! 😱 It was clear a lot of effort went into this! I love it! Awesome job!

I always felt that while they did become very close by the series end it wasn't until that final look in the series finally that Sabin realized how much she cared for Ezra. I think Ezra had been in love for awhile but didn't think she was interested in him romantically. I can't wait till they are finally reunited and we can see how their relationship develops after being apart for so long.

I think that Sabine started developing feelings for Ezra since the beginning, even though they started out as just "I care about my annoying little almost-brother and I'm gonna protect him even though he drives me crazy," but then as they went on more missions together and trusted each other a whole lot more, she realized that he wasn't an annoying little kid anymore and that she trusted this guy with her life, and that's when the feelings started to get complicated. She probably didn't fully realize them until that final battle, though, like you said. I really hope they are reunited eventually!

The scene in the final season where Ezra is meditating and Sabine walks up and talks to him always gets me because it just like the scenes Kanan and Hera had. To me it was clear that by that point they had reached the same level of caring, trust, and respect that Kanan and Hera had even if they didn't realize it. Take it with a grain of salt but the rumor's online are that the new Ahsoka series will focus on finding Ezra and they are looking for actors to play the live action versions of Sabine and Ezra.
