hi, joy!! long time watcher, first time commenter. :-) i'd really like to thank you for making these vlogs- not only do i feel extremely privileged to be given this amazing insider look at your everyday life, but i can't imagine how you could find the time to edit so many with such good and consistent quality! thank you for that. also, thank you for just generally being an inspiration. you make me want to push myself harder every day which has given me a lot more opportunities than it would have if i hadn't discovered these videos. i wish you best of luck at varna, i'm confident you'll blow the competition away. much love
Joy you are gorgeous and are such an incredible role model and you are the inspiration I need everyday on my own journey to becoming a ballet dancer. Thank you for just being you and inspiring so many people in your own beautiful way.
Matthew Brehm l don't know in perticoular the other main competitors but in main contests like this one moscow and others the level is terribily hight .
I'm admittedly so jealous of all the traveling you get to do - even if it's at times not the greatest conditions, and really stressful due to a tight schedule, but seeing so much of the world? Especially, lesser known places, or even better getting to stay for a little longer and really getting to experience the local culture less like a tourist and more like someone who lives there? That must be incredible... Also, Bulgaria is one of those countries and places I really want to see one day... Anyways, I love your videos - even though I only just recently started watching them, so I am still kind of trying to catch up on the older ones, like this one (and I admittedly watch them entirely out of order, just the way they appear amongst the recommendations on my YT home page or the Up Next queue). I just think it's so great and wonderful that, despite how busy you no doubt are - between your dancing career and the various other projects you pursue, you still take not only the time to share your experiences and thoughts with people through your videos, but also try your best to answer people's questions and just really build a community of people who are equally passionate about dancing, and especially ballet! 💖
i don t know the results but I hope alla are fine for you and you spend a good time at this competition and the stage of Varna. It strange to see you dance with an other angle in another studio you seem to be taller ! have a great time Joy!
Hey Joy! I am moving away from home this fall to attend a different ballet school far away from home, and was wondering if you had any advice as far as dealing with homesickness and missing my family and friends? Beautiful video by the way!! The scenery and videography is "en pointe"!! (excuse my ballet puns haha)
If I may say, the music in your videos is always EXTREMELY loud compared to the rest of the audio. I find myself always having to rush to adjust the volume so I don´t bust my speakers or my ears... Is there any way you could even that out? Great vlog by the way, I´m a frequent flyer and you´re story is very exciting as well as your dancing. Greetings from Germany
There's no give with concrete, When you jump or do turns the shock isn't absorbed into the floor your joints take the full brunt of it. You're really only suppose to dance on wood floors or "sprung" floors.
Sorry but we are very different from the Russians .... And the word "forced"....to learn Russian is not correct...I think it was a great advantage, just as we had the opportunity to learn in school and French, German and English (least popular)..For example, in schools in Canada there is no option for learning a foreign language ... yes, some classes in French but it is more of a joke than learning a language ...
Joy, Bulgaria looks beautiful -- and your dancing was gorgeous as always! Good luck at Varna, and thank you for such a lovely video!
Your vlog is like a wonderful travelogue, thank you for taking us with you to all these amazing places.

A new subscriber. Hope your competition goes well. Can't wait till your next blog. You are awesome!
I love you, joy
ON THE CONCRETE?! Isn't that bad for your...everything?
Better than dancing cold without a class! You make do with what you have, Joy is a great example of the flexibility you must have as a dancer.
There's no give with concrete, When you jump or do turns the shock isn't absorbed into the floor your joints take the full brunt of it. You're really only suppose to dance on wood floors or "sprung" floors.
You can get away with basic barre stuff. No jumps or turns.
I LOVE Bulgaria....enjoy!
congrats on second place.
Those lilac colours look great on you......давай, покори их всех там на конкурсе
I really enjoy your vlogs, but please fix the volum difference between you talking and the music. It's always very loud. 🙈
Ok Joy ...! Go Get Them Tiger !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are so pretty
That's where Sophia Lucia is to perform
