I thought it was a happy ending because in each of the episodes short opening scene you see them looking at each other at the crossing in Japan, which kind of implies they are secretly meeting up after the last scene. Also, Won-jun was wearing the same outfit in the opening scenes of ep 8 and 9 as the last mall scene with Mt Fuji in the background.
@@zirg Yes, it was an implied happy ending. But they filmed a kissing scene in Japan and other things. I would like to see it as well 😭

I agree, after watching Dream High I never thought Suzy could have a better chemistry with any of her co stars other than Kim Soo Hyun (probably Kim Seonho in Start Up comes close) but this drama surprised me.
She seems genuinely happy working with Yang Sejong, hopefully their friendship lasts forever.
Absolutely agree, she is comfortable around him, I love how he always compliment and praise her as actress not just her beauty, it means a lot for suzy.. I love how he didn't judge her opinion or her humor.. I love their dynamic

I never knew there is so much Easter eggs throughout this amazing romance story. Suzy and Sejong really did a beautiful job to help us realize this
I love sejong suzy dynamic, they understand eo, give and accept opinion, comfortable arund eo, tease a lot.. He is the best male lead suzy had so far.. He praise her as an actress not solely on her beauty, I wish they'll meet again in another project

As a 7-years fan of Suzy, I watched all her dramas and movies. I have to say that Yang Se Jong is the co-actor that has the best chemistry with my girl 🥺 Not only in the drama but also in reality. Don't know why but my girl always seems to be so shy when he is next to her 😂 Their chemistry always keep my heart fluttering 💕

They’re a dynamic duo and are so good on and off cam. I think they’re the noisiest couple I’ve seen for Kdrama, also in their ASMR.😂 Rewatching their contents are healing. I love DooNa! Congratulations, DooNa! Team!
I definitely don’t think they are the noisiest by a long stretch lol. Both Suzy and Sejong are more of the shy quiet type. There are some dramas with really crazy costars who get along super well. But seeing how quiet and even awkward with each other Suzy and Sejong are IRL, really makes me appreciate the amazing acting and directing in Doona, cos there was absolutely none of that awkwardness. It’s my fav drama of 2023 or maybe even ever

I am not a fan of Suzy or Se Jong but I watch some of their dramas, and I can say: this is the first time Suzy has found her best best partner/co -star in acting, both on and off. Doona is quite interesting drama story, anyway. Good job, Suzy & Se Jong!

I think 8:41 is key to the story between them because she says that both Won-jun and Doona are inexperienced at love. She was taken at an early age into the k-pop world to be trained and managed. So even though she is famous and the same age as Won-jun she hasn't had any experience with love. She was controlled by her manager up to that point after her grandmother died. Her mother is absent in her life. They both lost their father. I think their background stories helped bring them together even though they originally seem very much apart.

6:06 I always thought that the mermaid doll was part of the concept since they have shown how Doonah gets drowned deeper in her anxiety. I automatically assumed that the mermaid was a huge symbol of being resilient in times of hardships and suffering: wherein if we get drowned by our stress, anxiety, and sufferings from our experiences, let's conquer the challenges and learn to swim just like a mermaid. I smiled since it was one of the best representations to show the audience how to cope in dealing with our past and to live in the present. It was captivating. However, since now I know that it was a coincidence after all, then that was a perfect coincidence and I am grateful to the director for letting that mermaid doll remain throughout the series.

Finished it already. I love it, the reconciliation in the last part, and the ending. I'm just sad because I wanted to see them after Doona settles down and Won Jun having a good paying job and settles down. I wanted them to be happy, and enjoying life after all those hardships that they went through.
