Yes, I believe a relationship is a two way road and the person I was talking about had recently been in a car crash that gave him PTSD. I wasn't about to make him drive long distance to come see me then have to drive all the way back. Honestly he probably would have payed for the whole trip but I wasn't about to assume so before making the trip I wanted to make sure I could cover it just encase for whatever reason he couldn't or maybe he was gonna pay for next time wich would be fine too. We don't get to see each other often and meet in the middle. We were out shopping in town for fun and I bought a hat and it was in a big hat box. And because of the lack of communication, they believe the only solution is to break up, when there are many other options (often easy solutions).
Dresamae In dealing with bad communicators, you have to be a good communicator. Usually bad communicators are very uncomfortable with conflict because they don't have positive experiences with it in the past, so they'll try to avoid it as much as possible. Since you're the stronger communicator, you have to take the lead in having conversations about issues you're having in the relationship---and it's better to do it without criticizing them. A good general method is leaving "you" out of what you say. This can be difficult because you're just talking about your emotions, not what your interpretation of their actions are. For instance, let's say they're ALWAYS late to dinner and it truly upsets you---when they get there, most would be inclined to say "I'm really upset that you got here late and made me wait for you." See all the "you"'s and how they're being used to interpret/criticize the other person's actions? Instead, stick to what you're feeling (emotions) and say "I'm really upset and frustrated right now. It doesn't feel good to wait by myself like this." It changes their reaction COMPLETELY. If it's not something you've previously done with the person and you've used "you" before in a way to criticize their actions when addressing a conflict, they might be combative at first, but after a couple times of practicing this they'll get used to it and will understand they're not being criticized or attacked. To take it further, if you end up having a discussion about a conflict, you can add in what you want and/or don't want, NOT what you think they should do. The key is not to tell them or imply they're wrong. For example, let's say they're getting distant from you. Some might want to say to them "I feel like you're getting distant from me. Is there something wrong?". You're telling them what you're interpreting from their actions, not what your emotions are. If you're just saying the emotions you're feeling and what you want/don't want, it'll sound close to this: "I've been feeling disconnected. I want to feel closer to you. What do you think?". While there are "you"'s, they're only being used to express your emotions (disconnection), not to interpret or criticize their actions. And by asking "What do you think?," you're involving them in the conversation to help find a solution without them feeling attacked. If you practice all this enough, bad communicators learn to be better at communicating and don't feel afraid to discuss it with you because they know they won't be attacked or criticized. They'll feel safe, which is extremely important. And it's also important to not get defensive and actually hear them out when they're telling YOU a conflict they're having with you. It may sound like a criticism from them since they're not as experienced in communicating as you are, so just learn to hear the core of what they're saying and take it in. Help find a solution like you would in the other scenario I gave so you don't program them to keep the problems they have with you to themselves. Btw, this works with anyone, not just men or romantic partners. Most people don't handle criticism well, so communicating in a way that doesn't say or imply that really helps in finding a solution quicker. It's like the old saying "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?" Lol. Anyway, that's the end of my novel ✌️ Hope it helps :)

To back up a bit, I really liked your video about Energies. I had suspected that my innate inclination to the feminine had been suppresed since I was a little girl. My mom was a doctor and while she wasn't idealogically or politically a feminist, she had a lot of masculine energy. She could present a very pleasant, feminine image and knew how to behave like a "lady," but she exploded her marriage and our family because of the masculine taking precedence and her dishonoring the agreement she had with my father regarding her putting him thru med school then retiring once he started practice. I was always encouraged to exert my more masculine side but pursuing a career, which I didn't do but, well, to make a long story short, I needed to hear your comments to validate what I knew in my heart; that I am a very feminine woman who needs a very masculine man. I am actually in a LDR with a man in Sicily and we are no young. He has some issues that stem from a cascade of fairly recent traumas and it's been a bit up and down. However, I had to admit my role in the down parts and again, the video on Energies confirmed what I sensed. So, although we've known each other almost a year, we are not at the point where some of these texts are appropriate yet. He has not explicitly told me he loves me but it's apparent he does. Mainly because of COVID we have not met yet, I'm actually in Israel. But I think the text, "what can I do to make you feel more loved?" is excellent, especially since he told me today he has a very bad cold and is feeling quite ill. Yes, I believe a relationship is a two way road and the person I was talking about had recently been in a car crash that gave him PTSD. I wasn't about to make him drive long distance to come see me then have to drive all the way back. Honestly he probably would have payed for the whole trip but I wasn't about to assume so before making the trip I wanted to make sure I could cover it just encase for whatever reason he couldn't or maybe he was gonna pay for next time wich would be fine too. I don't know if this would work for people just dating. One day I had the strongest urge to tell my husband that I loved him over text, but I didn't want to write it. What about the guys that are clearly interested and care for you, but inexperienced in relationships and have trouble communicating problems due to their lack of experience? And because of the lack of communication, they believe the only solution is to break up, when there are many other options (often easy solutions).

In dealing with bad communicators, you have to be a good communicator. Usually bad communicators are very uncomfortable with conflict because they don't have positive experiences with it in the past, so they'll try to avoid it as much as possible. Since you're the stronger communicator, you have to take the lead in having conversations about issues you're having in the relationship---and it's better to do it without criticizing them. A good general method is leaving "you" out of what you say. This can be difficult because you're just talking about your emotions, not what your interpretation of their actions are. For instance, let's say they're ALWAYS late to dinner and it truly upsets you---when they get there, most would be inclined to say "I'm really upset that you got here late and made me wait for you." See all the "you"'s and how they're being used to interpret/criticize the other person's actions? Instead, stick to what you're feeling (emotions) and say "I'm really upset and frustrated right now. It doesn't feel good to wait by myself like this." It changes their reaction COMPLETELY. If it's not something you've previously done with the person and you've used "you" before in a way to criticize their actions when addressing a conflict, they might be combative at first, but after a couple times of practicing this they'll get used to it and will understand they're not being criticized or attacked.
To take it further, if you end up having a discussion about a conflict, you can add in what you want and/or don't want, NOT what you think they should do. The key is not to tell them or imply they're wrong. For example, let's say they're getting distant from you. Some might want to say to them "I feel like you're getting distant from me. Is there something wrong?". You're telling them what you're interpreting from their actions, not what your emotions are. If you're just saying the emotions you're feeling and what you want/don't want, it'll sound close to this: "I've been feeling disconnected. I want to feel closer to you. What do you think?". While there are "you"'s, they're only being used to express your emotions (disconnection), not to interpret or criticize their actions. And by asking "What do you think?," you're involving them in the conversation to help find a solution without them feeling attacked.
If you practice all this enough, bad communicators learn to be better at communicating and don't feel afraid to discuss it with you because they know they won't be attacked or criticized. They'll feel safe, which is extremely important. And it's also important to not get defensive and actually hear them out when they're telling YOU a conflict they're having with you. It may sound like a criticism from them since they're not as experienced in communicating as you are, so just learn to hear the core of what they're saying and take it in. Help find a solution like you would in the other scenario I gave so you don't program them to keep the problems they have with you to themselves.
Btw, this works with anyone, not just men or romantic partners. Most people don't handle criticism well, so communicating in a way that doesn't say or imply that really helps in finding a solution quicker. It's like the old saying "Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?" Lol. Anyway, that's the end of my novel ✌️ Hope it helps :)

To back up a bit, I really liked your video about Energies. I had suspected that my innate inclination to the feminine had been suppresed since I was a little girl. My mom was a doctor and while she wasn't idealogically or politically a feminist, she had a lot of masculine energy. She could present a very pleasant, feminine image and knew how to behave like a "lady," but she exploded her marriage and our family because of the masculine taking precedence and her dishonoring the agreement she had with my father regarding her putting him thru med school then retiring once he started practice. I was always encouraged to exert my more masculine side but pursuing a career, which I didn't do but, well, to make a long story short, I needed to hear your comments to validate what I knew in my heart; that I am a very feminine woman who needs a very masculine man. I am actually in a LDR with a man in Sicily and we are no young. He has some issues that stem from a cascade of fairly recent traumas and it's been a bit up and down. However, I had to admit my role in the down parts and again, the video on Energies confirmed what I sensed. So, although we've known each other almost a year, we are not at the point where some of these texts are appropriate yet. He has not explicitly told me he loves me but it's apparent he does. Mainly because of COVID we have not met yet, I'm actually in Israel. But I think the text, "what can I do to make you feel more loved?" is excellent, especially since he told me today he has a very bad cold and is feeling quite ill. Not a lot I can do long distance and I have to resist that masculine thinking of wanting to fix things. So, I may ask the question later or tomorrow but in the meantime, maybe I can share some music. I really like it and once we have progressed, I can definitely see using the others. We have tentative plans to meet next month.
