    Put a mikuni carb on it for like $30. You can find them on eBay all day. A lot of people don't know about the break in period. Good vid thanks for sharing.

      @weekendwrench  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the input, ya whatever oil they shipped it with was a very wierd color and consistency so I had to flush it. I'll try the mikuni carb on them.

      @acu117 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@weekendwrench before you spend $30, drill out the plug next to the idle crew. Don't go too deep. That is your air/fuel mixture screw. Then you can adjust it. That's basically the only difference on the $30 "mikuni" carb. They plug it for emissions when importing.

      @@acu117 what!? Thanks i appreciate this information. What kind of bit, size and depth did u do and what did u put in it to adjust it

    • @acu117
      @acu117 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@weekendwrench it's just a tiny plug, I use a easy out, drill a tiny hole and yeah and easy out or left handed drill bit, they usually bust loose easy it's just press fitted in. Then there is a little fuel screw usually small flat head screwdriver. If it's on the Air filter side it's an air screw if it's on the engine side it's a fuel screw. Air screw will allow more air in when screwed out. Best way to adjust is run it at idle, screw it out slowly til it wants to die then screw it back in a quarter turn, then adjust your idle. That should help a lot with idle and bog. And if all else fails, if you're planning on the mikuni anyways, can't hurt. I've only had a couple I couldn't get to run good where I'd switch em out...

      @acu117 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@weekendwrench from the video that brass plug is on the engine side, so it's a fuel screw, screwing it out counter clockwise will allow more fuel. Same thing tho on adjustment, at your elevation probably gunna be 2 turns out from lightly seated for a good start.

      Depending on the size of the rider, height and weight is most important. Both are good bikes just try whichever suits the rider for comfort and height.
