It is one thing to hear someone preach over the pulpit . But it is quite another thing to have those anointed people who will take the time to be examples of love, patience, wisdom, and knowledge of scripture - who are also trustworthy, to invest in your spiritual maturation. That sir is what ministry is all about. Ephesians 4:11,12. Those godly persons who had the most impact in my young life are gone home to be with the Lord now. They “loved” me into the Kingdom. They did not bludgeon me to death when I fell. They picked me up. All along the way godly men and women invested time and knowledge of the word in me until I grew in spiritual maturity, knowledge, and in my relationship with the God of my salvation. It takes time. It’s been the best thing in my life since I was a teenager. I am 74 and in the final season of my journey. Everything they shared with me back then has born much fruit. I pray the same for you. We have no time to waste. The Lord will come back for his Church sooner than we realize. And I am not speaking of brick and mortar edifice; but those Acts 2:38 -42 believers who adhere to His word in love & obedience. God bless you.
