EDGECAM is pleased to bring to the market a brand-new Race Line Finishing Cycle: - Seen as Precision meets performance!
The Cycle targets the sealing faces of transmission systems.This is inspired by the booming electric vehicle sector, in which we collaborated closely with our customers to create a dedicated cycle tailored for gear houses.
But that’s not all = During development, we tested it on various industry parts, making it universally applicable for cast or forged components.
EDGECAM then implemented another area to further improve the performance of this cycle by implementing our WAVEFORM strategy on top of this.
This means - That when you are using a smaller tool diameter than the machining surface area you will get a perfect Waveform behaviour to cross blend the area for clearing the chance of getting any high spots on the surface or cusp marks some will say a waterline.
The cycle is very easy and intuitive as it will find the best entry position onto the machining surface to reduce cut time.
Then to complete the cycle enhancements we have implemented the control of smoothing factor as well that will give the EDGECAM user that perfect arc blending motion, which is ideal for sealing surfaces.
