Oh my god, 5:00 you actually made the point I thought about, I really wanted to defend Metal Bat because he’s still REALLY good despite metal bat being considered the worst by many. And as you’ve said, people really began to adapt to MB’s slow M1s and tried other ways of going in to get the first hit, I mean a lot of MB’s moves are unblockable. all except for beatdown.
Its hard for me to say how much I love you for talking about how special the different characters are. Because that’s what i love about TSB, its characters feel so much like thier anime/manga counterpart and its amazing
The reason i think most people voted for Garou in the most op poll was because if you get hit by a single m1 you're getting stuck in a 15 minute long unskippable cut scene that drains your hp
Maybe theyll FINALLY add some map variety in the next update because this one is old enough to the point that some people have MEMORIZED where the trashcan and tree hitboxes are to do wall combos on air after the trees and shi get destroyed.
Blademaster is overlooked. its atomic slash can go through Incinerations I-Frames, and its pretty much a oneshot, it also has a oneshot combo, and its atmos cleave and have extra damage if a Brutal Demon uses homerun whilst BladeMaster is in atmos starting animation.

Honestly speaking: I joined a little after metal bat was fully released, and i immediately fell in love with his moveset. However it hurt to learn that the games meta, Garou,(now including tatsumaki) will always win against me in m1 trades, following up with a 75 dmg kyoto combo. Recently, out of sheer determination to do a black flash as metal bat, ive learned to time my m1s so that it doesnt matter who; i can win an m1 trade. So i think taking away the unique speeds of m1s would ruin that experience of finally overcoming the difficulty curve for new players, and instead reward copy pasting other peoples combos and playstyles.
yeah but most new players stay away from metal bat due to his slow m1 speeds as well as garou and tats being fast with fast damage and tats having range. Sure it feels good but the speed rn is TOO slow making it really hard for new players and even me. not to mention genos being able to win due to range and sonic having the shuriken

I genuinely agree with your point with genos but the problem is that most Garou players are extremely skilled and they are losing to the skill part, not the character part. Basically they just can't cope hard enough to realize that its the skill, not the character.

As a genos main, It is so OP that the 1st skill can make u combo extend with good damage and sometimes does the finisher even if the enemy is at 20-18% health and the fact that ur skill cooldown will be gone if u did a finisher on someone it just gets back the used skill and reuse it. The jetdive also has a good finisher that can damage players that are down there and when its done u can just hold 3rd skill and you get another free damage while in the AIR, ignition burst alone gives ur enemy at 75-80% health (with the tech) and the blitz shot can chrage up, long range and hits like a truck while u charged it at max
I know 1 shot combo for cyborg Machine gun blows, mini uppercut, lock on then do ignition burst, dash at enemy/player then downslam, blitz shot, downslam, backdash, jet dive
M1 changing is stupid. It’ll feel like all the characters play the same Also about the hero hunter thing You can miss hunters grasp after you land it I know it sounds weird but say there is someone behind you and you hunters grasp the other way. you will naturally turn around to knock them over but if you do it too quickly, they will escape the hunters grasp but the animation will still play, so they can punish you for using a move (like pinpoint cut) same with preys peril but it’s better

What u don’t understand is that not all of us are PC players who have played this game forever. Most are mobile players who try to fight sweats but can’t adapt much, also what’s going for Garou is his I-FRAMES, they NEED TO GO, its just unfair.
People voted for Garou because of 1v1s. Genos is perfect in the base game. But in the face of a competent player in 1v1, logging wouldn't change the outcome of a fight. And that's not mentioning the inescapable 1 shot combo garou can do, where your only saving grace is a ragdoll cancel that everyone has figured how bait, or another player interrupting, which just doesn't exist in a 1v1.
TSB has impacted almost every battlegrounds game they did KJ and now all u ever see in a battleground is KJ JJS is different and the games fun especially since the games goofy and u have a high chance of seeing some shenanigans going on
I think Suiryu will be the perfect counter character against Hero Hunter, both close range yet has different moves. Child Emperor would be like genos able to hit multiple targets at once and a lot of damage but easy to block. Zombieman would be like metal bat where if you take damage you ult bar fills up, i can tell zombieman is gonna get used by teamers
im sure the devs are gonna make something unique out of him also im sick of fighting tatsumaki users that just hide inside trees and windstorm i just want a character thats easy to balance so ppl wont say its p2w.also its easier to think of a move for him that wont end up being abused by dirty players

heres what i think the BOROS base moves would be like *BOROS* 1. Immortal dash: you teleport infront if you miss and if you dont miss then you grab them by the collar and throw them 2. Space blitz: you slide across the floor and knock them over, grab them, throw them up into the air and kick them away 3. Cosmic hunt: you grab them throw them up jump up to them, and do a combo before slamming them on the ground. 4. Martial combo: you punch them four times kick them to the side, you teleport to the side where they are and throw them. I might do the ultimate soon :>

5:17 I agree. It will make the characters feel too similar. And it’ll throw off the animations not giving off the correct feeling. A cheaply made fighting game tends to have characters fight with basic attacks always the same meanwhile a good game like tsb or smash bros will have different characters have different basic attacks and different speeds to make it look feel right and make characters feel different. I say this as a metal bat main the one effected by this the most. I believe this game will feel like it was made worse by this change. To be honest most of the fan base for this game are really dumb and think things at face value. I honestly feel like your one of the best content creators for this game because your calm, collected, and you actually think about things. I wanted to compile a list of reasons why every character *could* be op Saitama; Mainly his ult Garou; I think people say he's OP because of the versatility of the parry, and maybe final hunt since it gets through death blow? genos; bro literally went on a tangent about it, I don't need to say Sonic; basically made for getting distance and running, and not every player knows how to deal with that quickness MetalBat; Death blow on ult, if used right. and beatdown's hitbox is kind of wonky, catching people when they aren't as far as they think Tatsu; crushing pull and terrible tornado... Need I say more? even though it's blockable, people just don't know how to block I guess. KJ; It's no OP at all... I think people just say this because it's an admin character behind a paywall... I hope this helped somebody's point or someone understand better, but they are relatively balanced in my opinion.

7:05 you know what this argument is like saying all the passive abilities. It’s small but would really effect the game. As well imagine trying to animate a basic swing from a bat and make it move as fast as a punch. Actually this would be like making little Mac better at air combat and recoveries. It would really take that special part of him. I swear the people saying the swing speed should be the same will never reach a remarkable level. Still wrong because the games bone structure mewed itself into a single state where every fight goes the same. Tsb has really few fighting game implementations that give variety to fights. You have to side dash spam against good players or you die, even if you decide to block hold the gameplay is still the same. Even with different moves and passives it still feels all the same
The devs of the strongest battlegrounds will give Zombieman quicker regeneration compared to the other characters (obviously) and Zombie man might have the same passive as Garou (when landing a finisher you get a free heal) however I am not sure how you would kill him maybe by killing him before he gets the chance to even regenerate. The devs would add a mech suit for child emperor which adds further potential I mean God knows what moves they would add but I have a few suggestions: the ability to stomp, punch the ground etc these would work as the mech suit is bigger than the characters in OPM. However for Suiryu, I believe his moves would be the same as Garou's moveset as they both fight similarly and dont use weapons (fists) they both also use martial arts as a form of their fightstyle. Either way I am very excited to see Suiryu. (Lets try to get theholygrail to 1M subs before 2025 )
I agree with you on your genos argument, as a garou player trying it out for the first time, it is way too op and it feels illegal, its ult is spammy, its passive is spammy, EVERYTHING ABOUT THE CHARACTER IS well not most of the time SPAMMY, but its only flaw is its m1s, its m1s are slow but not that much.
For the slow m1's as Saitamas, it makes it easier to animate, not having to spend an extra day or two creating sfx + animating for the character. The people who agreed to this are somewhat aware that with this characters will be able to be released faster. Like Gojo, in Private Servers, he uses Garous wall combo, it just makes it easier

The reason why people voted tatsumaki is that its the same as genos in power (hardly reactable move, 2nd move has a big hitbox and you can still m1 people from behind if they block it, 3rd move isn't unragdollable, 4th move is a useful mobility) Genos got so low votes because people never saw good players using him
Ngl, I disagree with you, Theholygrail, Garou is better imo than Genos, Most of Genos' attacks are long ranged, Blitz Shot, Ignition burst, and jet dive, while you can run using Jet Dive, just use Sonic and running would be pointless in the first place because why would you run from Garou? None of his attacks are long ranged and you're passive is useless if you don't kill him. Using up most of you're moves will force you play offensively in close Quarters which Garou dominates at since his combos are very good. The only good moves Genos has for close quarters is Blitz Shot and Machine gun blows, Jet dive only works if you make distance and Ignition burst is Avoided if you counter since it takes long or by back dashing. All of Garou's moves work in close distances. I wrote a Yap.
I think the M1 thing is good because it is kinda a disadvantage, the slow m1 characters don’t get extra damage or anything (or as far as I know) so the slow m1’s are literally just making the character worse than the others.

metal bats versatility is a joke compared to genos, coming from someone who mains genos and can play metal bat very well, while he has 3 unblockable moves, they are very VERy predictable unlike genos, its much easier to avoid a grand slam or foul ball because of how short ranged slam is, and how slow foul ball can be (and how much of a disadvantage is can be). also if you use beatdown from someone at a range and they block, your forced into a combo lol, this isnt the case for genos other then his first move because basically NONE of them are punishable
@@Zoarawss uhm I'm confused. First of all literally every one of metal bat's moves have 2 variations. Also every move can hit ragdolled players and unragdolled players. Genos has no move variations unless you're including the in-air variations or fully charged blitz shot. Almost all of genos' moves deal less damage when hitting ragdolled players while metal bat's moves deal full damage when hitting ragdolled players. Many of genos' moves can be predicted because of how long jet dive takes. This is true with ignition burst aswell. Plus, the only time you can use machine gun blows is when you actually get a hit on an opponent. Ignition burst is also easily punishable if they miss. Same with machine gun blows since it takes forever, there's long endlag, and also it's blockable. How does that make genos more versatile?
@@BlueArrowTSB it’s with how ignition burst works, the first blast it causes makes people roll away, letting you hit a 2nd combo. overall, genos has some of the heavier hitting moves in the game, along with one of the best passives (this being cooldown refresh). each of metal bats moves is WAY more punishable, since only two of genos’s moves aren’t really punishable, even if you block (this being jet dive and blitz shot). jet dive is literally just a better version of grand slam other then being half blocked) genos also just has the best passives in the game (3) compared to metal bat (2)

However, this is only useful once you've already got them in a combo since otherwise you basically have no way of predicting it and if you do they will almost always go a bit too far to deal the maximum damage. This move also has zero combo potential so once you hit it the only other thing you can do is a blitz shot which deals much less damage when on the ground. Genos' base damage is actually in 3rd place next to all of the characters in the game (4th if you count Gojo, but that's obvious.) Although, Genos' base damage is higher than metal bat with 89% base damage. (This does not include ragdolled damage.) On your second statement in that sentence, yes, Genos does have one of the best passives in the game, plus 3 total passives. Only 1 of Metal Bat's moves are blockable rather than all 4 with Genos (excluding ignition burst's first hit and fully charged blitz shot.) Machine Gun Blows is easily punishable if missed, or blocked. Ignition Burst is easily punishable if missed. Blitz Shot is easily punishable as it's charging up if you're trying to get it fully charged. If not, then no, it's not easily punishable unless they miss and don't side dash after. This also applies with Jet Dive except the fact that it is even easier to punish if blocked. Your next statement is controversial. Jet dive is slower, but deals slightly more damage (1% more.) Grand Slam is unblockable while Genos' Jet Dive is. Metal Bat's (as most people call it) "Heavy" passive can be an advantage, or disadvantage, so this passive is dependant on the situation going on. If this is a disadvantage then the helpful passive score would be 1 (Metal Bat) - 2 (Genos) I would fit a bit more info on here but it would already take anyone forever to read lol
Not to forget that if you ragdoll someone and you use the second part of ignition burst (the actual blast,) it does the same amount of putting the two parts together, creating 23%. This is PERFECT for console users since they can’t do the both parts.

I know it sounds weird but say there is someone behind you and you hunters grasp the other way. you will naturally turn around to knock them over but if you do it too quickly, they will escape the hunters grasp but the animation will still play, so they can punish you for using a move (like pinpoint cut)

People voted for Garou because of 1v1s. Genos is perfect in the base game. But in the face of a competent player in 1v1, logging wouldn't change the outcome of a fight. And that's not mentioning the inescapable 1 shot combo garou can do, where your only saving grace is a ragdoll cancel that everyone has figured how bait, or another player interrupting, which just doesn't exist in a 1v1.

I think Suiryu will be the perfect counter character against Hero Hunter, both close range yet has different moves. Child Emperor would be like genos able to hit multiple targets at once and a lot of damage but easy to block. Zombieman would be like metal bat where if you take damage you ult bar fills up, i can tell zombieman is gonna get used by teamers
suiryu is the worst choice as it stands either he's ten Times better than garou or he's worse so no one uses him he's just gonna be a garou re skin

since i first read about suiryu in the manga i wanted him in the game, now knowing that hes coming after tatsumaki makes me so happy
heres what i think the BOROS base moves would be like
*BOROS*
1. Immortal dash: you teleport infront if you miss and if you dont miss then you grab them by the collar and throw them
2. Space blitz: you slide across the floor and knock them over, grab them, throw them up into the air and kick them away
3. Cosmic hunt: you grab them throw them up jump up to them, and do a combo before slamming them on the ground.
4. Martial combo: you punch them four times kick them to the side, you teleport to the side where they are and throw them.

5:17 I agree. It will make the characters feel too similar. And it’ll throw off the animations not giving off the correct feeling. A cheaply made fighting game tends to have characters fight with basic attacks always the same meanwhile a good game like tsb or smash bros will have different characters have different basic attacks and different speeds to make it look feel right and make characters feel different. I say this as a metal bat main the one effected by this the most. I believe this game will feel like it was made worse by this change. To be honest most of the fan base for this game are really dumb and think things at face value. I honestly feel like your one of the best content creators for this game because your calm, collected, and you actually think about things. I wish more people did this but most people don’t really think too deep about things.

MetalBat; Death blow on ult, if used right. and beatdown's hitbox is kind of wonky, catching people when they aren't as far as they think
Tatsu; crushing pull and terrible tornado... Need I say more? even though it's blockable, people just don't know how to block I guess.
KJ; It's no OP at all... I think people just say this because it's an admin character behind a paywall...

7:05 you know what this argument is like saying all the passive abilities. It’s small but would really effect the game. As well imagine trying to animate a basic swing from a bat and make it move as fast as a punch. Actually this would be like making little Mac better at air combat and recoveries. It would really take that special part of him. I swear the people saying the swing speed should be the same will never reach a remarkable level. They don’t think too much about the game enough to get better at it. Like that one story of a yoshi main got really good despite playing a character considered really bad. Because he thought of how he could improve despite the fact the character was considered bad by nearly everyone. And because that yoshi main persevered he nearly made yoshi a top tier character.

Still wrong because the games bone structure mewed itself into a single state where every fight goes the same. Tsb has really few fighting game implementations that give variety to fights. You have to side dash spam against good players or you die, even if you decide to block hold the gameplay is still the same. Even with different moves and passives it still feels all the same

The devs of the strongest battlegrounds will give Zombieman quicker regeneration compared to the other characters (obviously) and Zombie man might have the same passive as Garou (when landing a finisher you get a free heal) however I am not sure how you would kill him maybe by killing him before he gets the chance to even regenerate.
The devs would add a mech suit for child emperor which adds further potential I mean God knows what moves they would add but I have a few suggestions: the ability to stomp, punch the ground etc these would work as the mech suit is bigger than the characters in OPM.
However for Suiryu, I believe his moves would be the same as Garou's moveset as they both fight similarly and dont use weapons (fists) they both also use martial arts as a form of their fightstyle.
Either way I am very excited to see Suiryu. (Lets try to get theholygrail to 1M subs before 2025 )

I agree with you on your genos argument, as a garou player trying it out for the first time, it is way too op and it feels illegal, its ult is spammy, its passive is spammy, EVERYTHING ABOUT THE CHARACTER IS well not most of the time SPAMMY, but its only flaw is its m1s, its m1s are slow but not that much.
For the slow m1's as Saitamas, it makes it easier to animate, not having to spend an extra day or two creating sfx + animating for the character. The people who agreed to this are somewhat aware that with this characters will be able to be released faster. Like Gojo, in Private Servers, he uses Garous wall combo, it just makes it easier

I think slow m1s are important. Also loop dash is easier, timing ur m1s is unique, it’s just better for people that play different.

Ngl, I disagree with you, Theholygrail, Garou is better imo than Genos, Most of Genos' attacks are long ranged, Blitz Shot, Ignition burst, and jet dive, while you can run using Jet Dive, just use Sonic and running would be pointless in the first place because why would you run from Garou? None of his attacks are long ranged and you're passive is useless if you don't kill him. Using up most of you're moves will force you play offensively in close Quarters which Garou dominates at since his combos are very good. The only good moves Genos has for close quarters is Blitz Shot and Machine gun blows, Jet dive only works if you make distance and Ignition burst is Avoided if you counter since it takes long or by back dashing. All of Garou's moves work in close distances.

I think the M1 thing is good because it is kinda a disadvantage, the slow m1 characters don’t get extra damage or anything (or as far as I know) so the slow m1’s are literally just making the character worse than the others.

metal bats versatility is a joke compared to genos, coming from someone who mains genos and can play metal bat very well, while he has 3 unblockable moves, they are very VERy predictable unlike genos, its much easier to avoid a grand slam or foul ball because of how short ranged slam is, and how slow foul ball can be (and how much of a disadvantage is can be). also if you use beatdown from someone at a range and they block, your forced into a combo lol, this isnt the case for genos other then his first move because basically NONE of them are punishable
@@Zoarawss uhm I'm confused. First of all literally every one of metal bat's moves have 2 variations. Also every move can hit ragdolled players and unragdolled players. Genos has no move variations unless you're including the in-air variations or fully charged blitz shot. Almost all of genos' moves deal less damage when hitting ragdolled players while metal bat's moves deal full damage when hitting ragdolled players. Many of genos' moves can be predicted because of how long jet dive takes. This is true with ignition burst aswell. Plus, the only time you can use machine gun blows is when you actually get a hit on an opponent. Ignition burst is also easily punishable if they miss. Same with machine gun blows since it takes forever, there's long endlag, and also it's blockable. How does that make genos more versatile?
@@BlueArrowTSB it’s with how ignition burst works, the first blast it causes makes people roll away, letting you hit a 2nd combo. overall, genos has some of the heavier hitting moves in the game, along with one of the best passives (this being cooldown refresh). each of metal bats moves is WAY more punishable, since only two of genos’s moves aren’t really punishable, even if you block (this being jet dive and blitz shot). jet dive is literally just a better version of grand slam other then being half blocked) genos also just has the best passives in the game (3) compared to metal bat (2)

@@Zoarawss In your first statement you said that ignition burst's first blast rolls players back. However, this is only useful once you've already got them in a combo since otherwise you basically have no way of predicting it and if you do they will almost always go a bit too far to deal the maximum damage. This move also has zero combo potential so once you hit it the only other thing you can do is a blitz shot which deals much less damage when on the ground. Genos' base damage is actually in 3rd place next to all of the characters in the game (4th if you count Gojo, but that's obvious.) Although, Genos' base damage is higher than metal bat with 89% base damage. (This does not include ragdolled damage.) On your second statement in that sentence, yes, Genos does have one of the best passives in the game, plus 3 total passives. Only 1 of Metal Bat's moves are blockable rather than all 4 with Genos (excluding ignition burst's first hit and fully charged blitz shot.) Machine Gun Blows is easily punishable if missed, or blocked. Ignition Burst is easily punishable if missed. Blitz Shot is easily punishable as it's charging up if you're trying to get it fully charged. If not, then no, it's not easily punishable unless they miss and don't side dash after. This also applies with Jet Dive except the fact that it is even easier to punish if blocked. Your next statement is controversial. Jet dive is slower, but deals slightly more damage (1% more.) Grand Slam is unblockable while Genos' Jet Dive is. Metal Bat's (as most people call it) "Heavy" passive can be an advantage, or disadvantage, so this passive is dependant on the situation going on. If this is a disadvantage then the helpful passive score would be 1 (Metal Bat) - 2 (Genos) I would fit a bit more info on here but it would already take anyone forever to read lol

Not to forget that if you ragdoll someone and you use the second part of ignition burst (the actual blast,) it does the same amount of putting the two parts together, creating 23%. This is PERFECT for console users since they can’t do the both parts.
