  • 'Vedic Mathematics' is the name given to the ancient system of mathematics. The system is based on 16 Vedic sutras or aphorisms, which are actually word-formulae describing natural ways of solving a whole range of mathematical problems. It is a unique technique of calculations based on simple rules and principles, with which any mathematical problem - be it arithmetic, algebra, geometry or trigonometry - can be solved.

    You got the last one wrong. The number 524 falls between 22² and 23³ (you've written 23² and 24²) and therefore the answer is 229 and not 239

    Sir the last sum you solved is wrong the 524 comes between the square of 22 and 23.the real answer is 229

    Since we r ignoring the 4th digit from left, applying this method will give errors as same answer recd if the number is 52441, 52431 or 52461
    This is not error free

      Only one of those numbers is a perfect square. The other two are not.

      @@alexwells2231 yep but can u tell me if we follow the perfect sq method where a perfect square shud end with 1,2,4,6,0 and also the digital sum shud be 1,4,7,9 and all the other things 52461 still turns out to be a perfect square but is actually isnt

    for sq rt of 52441 the left 3 digit is less than 23 sq and more than 22 sq which is 484 and also g

    Square root of 52441 is not 239 but 229. This method is not fool proof method to find the square root of 6 digit numbers. There are a lot of 6 digit numbers where this method cannot be applicable .

      it does. the unit digit is1 so sq rt wud end with 1 or 9 and 81(9x9) is the nearest n lesser sq number from 98 so 91 or 99 shud be one of the rt for this and since we need to multiply 9 with its successor number 10 so it is 90 and 98 is greater than 90 so the answer will be the greater number among the 2 options which is 99.

      atul kumar I can tell you an approximate method
      Say u have a no 53 now write it as 52.99 and then do above method
      U can also take it as 53.01 and then try the above method and then do avg of both the answers
