Bryan that’s my boy one of my favorite TH-cam channels Mullen Market woodworking! I wish he would blow up like your channel did I remember when you started as well but it’s like he can’t get to 1000 subs! Maybe really throw him some love an showcase his channel to help him grow mabey help give him a push! Regardless great video thanks for sharing as always
Oh awesome, I'm definitely going to check him out! I've actually been thinking about doing a video in the near future showcasing some smaller youtube channels. I think its a great way to spread some love to those really small channels! Thanks for sharing and watching Michael!
Thanks so much biginufm fan. This was a test video for me, first time doing overlays. Was seeing if it makes building videos easier, and the answer is yes, so hopefully I will be doing a lot more!
Great video today, can't wait to have a real shop so I can hang some of these on the wall, and this video reinforces the versatility of French cleats. Have a great weekend while I'm finishing my lazy Saturday coffee.
Lazy Satruday Coffees are the best! :). Hope you are able to have your real shop soon! You could even do these on bare studs as long as the back hits the cleats! Have a wonderful saturday Pat!
Saturday morning coffee with FlynnDogg! ☕️ I have build #2 for my clamps. My larger parallel clamps don't fit however but I like that design. Always build them bigger or extras as your collection grows. You'll always be adding more!
Thanks as always for watching Sean! Coffee sounds great right now! :). I know, I was just thinking the same thing. I built all these clamp racks and I should have built more of the first type as they are almost already full! Have a great saturday Sean!
So simple Damon! You could also store your paper towels on there as well! :). Thank you so much for the compliment and thanks for watching as always! :)
Thanks for the variety of options of clamping. Great build video. Nice to finally see someone doing something rather than selling or reviewing something. The voice-over video's are the way to go!
Thank you so much SynLyk! You hit the nail on the head. This was my first voiceover video. I've been hesitating doing project builds because they take so long, but doing voiceovers makes it so much easier. Hope to have many more builds on this channel in the future, now that i know I can do voiceovers reasonablely easy!
The video editing of your build is awesome. It shows the steps taken to construct the clamp holders, with clear, close up shots and detailed explanations. Looking forward to watching future videos. Cheers!
Really appreciate that obiwuncanoly (awesome user name)! This was the first time I've tried voice overlays, and it made building the project so much more easy. I hope to have more like this in the future! Thanks so much for the feedback and thanks for watching!
Haha! I think I'm only getting started. I probably have about 4-5 cleat wall ideas, I want to do for videos, but I'm going to have to spread them out! Thanks as always for watching antomac!
Just found your channel yesterday. Enjoy your goofy content and I mean that in the best way. Here’s a tip I wanted to share with you. When you just need to mark your 1” x 1” corners for holes, countersinks and such try this… Set the gauge on your pocket rule to 1”, and since the blade is 1” just hug the corner of your piece and mark the corner of your ruler with either a dot or L… seems silly but actually can be a time saver. If it just needs to be close like the back of the cleats you can even use a spring punch or set your drill bit at the corner, pull rule away and start your hole.
Oh nice! I'm in the same process. I haven't had french cleats before so this was a nice, little project for me. Makes me realize though how many more french cleats and french cleat walls I need to build to get everything where i want it though! :). Thanks fro watching WoodturningWithJohnMarro! I just bought a new lathe a couple of weeks ago, loooking forward to breaking it out! it's still in the box! :(
I love your channel. I consider myself more of a craftsman than a designer. I am in the final stages of building out my workshop. I’m creating French cleat holders for various tools. When I saw your video I initially thought oh boy more clamp rack ideas and almost passed on it. I’m glad I didn’t. Your designs seem more secure than others I had looked. I’m glad I gave it a look. Wish me luck.
Best of luck Patrick! Thank you so much for you kind words. I think one of my favorite things about this wall is the cleate on the top of the frame. I use that more often than I thought I would with longer tools like clamps. Thanks again for watching. Really appreciate it!
Enjoyed the clamp rack build. I built a clamp rack base on rollers to hold most of my clamps, it’s 2 sided, 24” wide X 48” long, and about 68” high, with a shelf at about 30 inches off the ground to hold miscellaneous clamping parts. Additionally, I’ve got lots of c clamps and clamping vice grips too. Initially I had a dozen 60” Bessey clamps which were super heavy and cumbersome, plus took up a ton of space. I needed all those long clamps for my Roubo workbench build, and don’t use them that often in normal building stuff. All this to say, I revised the clamp rack for the long Bessey clamps to be horizontal at the very top of my tool wall. They all fit on two arms that are around 18” out from the tool board and are about 48” apart. I stagger them so they fit closer together on the rack. I also put a bolt vertically through the arm, to ensure a small bump wouldn’t let them come off the end of the wood holding them up. Basically they take up horizontal space at the top of the wall and free up very important space on the wall. Great work!
Love these ideas Michael, I'd love to see a picture of your clamp rack, I wish you could post pictures on these comments! Really like the idea of staggering the clamps to have them fit closer together! Thank you so much for sharing all this. Really like these ideas, and thanks as always for watching!!!
I had more clamps than places, so I added a bar with slots for clamps and supported it under the assembly table and fastened it to the legs. I can get up to 24" long clamps in there. I have rearranged clamps multiple times and appreciate the ideas. My pipe clamps don't have those feet, so I look spring-loaded broom holders attached to the wall.
Oh nice! Those are all great ideas as well! I have a couple of pipe clamps that don't have the feet as well, and a few extra longer clamps that I need to find a home for. Really like your idea of having some on the assembly table, that's the perfect place for them! Thanks so much as always for watching Ken!
Oh man, you and me both. I've got so much more to do! It's really hard for me to even make things right now with everything piled all over the place. Thanks as always for watchign Jim!
Thanks so much Ian! I really appreciate that. It was my first time doing voice overlays, so I really appreciate the feedback, and your generosity. :). Thanks again!
Hi great video. With the 1st clamp rack you would have room for expansion of clamps. As the 1st clamp rack has so much surface on the outside of the rack. Clamp rack 4 could use that space in the future. Thank you for demonstrating these great racks for us
Thanks so much Projectrebuild! Really appeciate you watching and your analysis of the video. I think clamp rack 1 and 2 are obviously my favorite. Really for me the biggest difference between the two is the ability to be able to grab any clamp you want with rack 2, vs. having clamps buried behind others with clamp rack 1. Thanks so much again for watching!
Thanks so much Gozeto! I really appreciate that! There are so many things I want to try but have never done before, I hope to do videos on most of them! :). Even if they aren't perfect!
@@FlynndoggWoodwork I'm going to do the same. I want to make videos showing people my process and show the mistakes I do. I want people to feel it's ok to mess up and keep moving forward

Bryan, nice work. This video came at a good time for me. Having more than 90 clamps I guess I had better get a move on. Like your previous videos bud. Thank you for making them.
Thanks so much William! Good luck to you! I was surprised at how much this cleaned up my shop. Really a nice afternoon project. Thanks so much for watchign William!
If the two clamp supports are cut on the diagonal (instead of rectangular), down from the front to wall, you require less plywood for each cleat without loosing strength. These can be cut from a rectangle cut on the diagonal.
thanks so much! I appreciate that feedback, this was the first video I did like that, and I wondered how it would go over. Not getting the views I typically get, but it was a good test to see if I can do build videos like this. Makes it a ton easier! Thanks as always for watching Griffinwoodworks!
Great question, I did leave a link in the description but I think they were unavailable. Here is a link to them: amzn.to/3HVuRco. I like them better than the amana bits, but those are also great
Great question. The only reason I didn't do that for the F Style was because I wanted to try out different styles of racks. There is also the issue of having different sizes, with the parrellel clamp rack you have to stack them so if you need a longer or shorter clamp, you may need to pull out all the clamps in front of the one you need. Great question James!
Haha! :). I know right. I could have probably squeezed a couple more in there, but it was turning into a metal rack vs. a wood rack! :). Thanks for watching Clickster!
