The tip to add black and white using curves tool was amazing. I would have imagined to use double exposure another black or white and then imprinting it.
adding reflection of the sunset using flipped and rotated image was a masterstroke
Superb resultant image.
a question though, would it have been possible to retain the details of the boat, boatman without turning them completely black. Maybe using stacks tool to undo that blackening part at the end

Regarding your query, stacks brush could certainly be used to create a selection. But getting perfect selection is very tough on small displays, almost impossible for example around the fisherman here. So I tried it to give it a silhouette look here.

Amazing edit...I figured you would use double exposure for the background but to silhouette in B/W was amazing...one question though...I have always hated the B/W transformation Snapseed does in it's presets and dark mode...is there any way to get a more smoother B/W transformation and one that can be customised for each image...any suggestion?
