- Jim Jarmusch in front of the camera. A small scene with Harvey Keitel (Auggie) and ...one last cigarette. Kindness and sense of humour in our ruthless modern world.
'Blue in the Face' : Written by Paul Auster, directed by Wayne Wang (1995).
Love, love, love his hair
Supposedly it went gray when he was 15
"coffee and cigarettes, the breakfast of champions" i can't help watching this and feeling it was a prelude to jim jarmusch's later film of the same name
He had already made three short films that would become a part of that movie before doing this movie.
I don't know how many times my brothers said that before he really quited!!! My last cigarette ever haha!
I smoke occasionally. They're great when they're not killing ya.
It's hard. A lot of things worth doing are hard. So you can either handle the hard stuff or you can't. I'll bet you'd prefer to be able to handle the hard stuff, so just do it. You'll feel increasingly better every day after you quit. You just keep getting cooler all the time. So worth it.
Jared Harris has come a long way!
2 years smoke free and going strong
Still smoke stogies wherever you want?
the greatest movie ever !!!
with Oggie :)
Paul Auster would kiss you.
This movie is a true masterpiece!!!
My last cigarette
The song too… If someone knows it do tell.
The best thing about quitting smoking is after sex you have more time for cuddling 🏴🏴🏴🏴
no need sex with cigarettes..
I think this scene was deleted from this movie.

I've been smoking more and more since I was 17, I'm now 29.
Just spent 10 days in a hospital because of tuberculosis which is making me think about quitting - I want this to be the last time I'm in a hospital suffering from any kind of problems in my lungs.
Wish me luck!
Don't "speak loud and saying nothing", just quit be a champion 🍻
Just do it babe! We believe in youuuu.
You had tuberculosis and you're THINKING about quitting?? Should be a no brainer.

I wish you the best in your effort to quit. Please do as soon as you can. This is the first time I'm telling anyone about this because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to hold out, but my "last cigarette" really was in November of 2020. After almost 20 years of on and off smoking with periods of heavy use, I just got sick of the way they made me feel. I looked at my 9 year old son and thought, "why am I cutting my life short just to suck these things down?" I've known they were bad the entire time but it was always "oh I'll just have this one and when the pack is done I'll quit." I tried to imagine the person I wanted to be and used that as my motivation. It's a serious addiction and I wish you the best.
Been almost a year since my last one. Would've been cool to quit like this.
You still quit 4 years later?
Jim is very interesting to watch. He's a brilliant director, and it would be cool to see him in front of the camera more often. What he would bring as an actor... I'm sure would be brilliant.
Two legends right there!
I only smoke after sex
I’ve had the same packet since 1975🏴🏴🏴🏴
I’m on 40 a day lol

When directors act they're always very directory, the way Jarmusch tells Jared Harris how to hold the camera. It's the same with Tarantino telling Harvey Keitel how to hose down Vincent and Jules in Pulp Fiction.
Love this observation that's so funny

I just quit smoking last month and one of the benefits I have found after sex I’ve more time for cuddling 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
I keep saying, I'm an expert in quitting. I did it many times. Right now off again.
Didn't have a cigarette for last 10 months, though I was smoking since I was 15. Now I'm 30 and that's my longest parting with cigarettes ever. Not sure it will last forever though lol
Ghostdog good on you for quitting. Save your money and your health
AND cool name BTW
@@rotyler2177 lol thank you :) have a nice day and stay safe :)
Once you go back you'll never like the taste. But once you convincing yourself to go back.. you puffing it like a rookie. Then you go back to your bad habit like normal. I try it once, 1 month straight no smoking. But the existence living here makes me unmotivated 😂
So you got an update for us? No cigarettes the past three years?
A literal thief.
Is that Harvey Keitel?
Yes
One thing I forgot is that taking a photo used to be special, an event. Now, its almost daily for some people.
That's what makes it so difficult to quit. All the things you associate with it.
pierwszorzędna scena:)
Iam the cigarette
great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ shit i love u
every cigarette is your last cigarette, and i'm enjoying a cigarette right now. soon to be my last cigarette.
Was it?
Great Movie
Jim is the man.
super!!
...what it's worth?...
😇😂😂😂😅😉
I once tried to quit and had gone six weeks without one.
A feller I worked with hadn't smoked for 30 years and I said "hey Les, you ever feel like one?"
He said "every minute of every day".
I was back on them in minutes.
Best keep quiting to yourself, its a long road.
"every minute of every day". This man and I would be friends.
