The number of badly fitted ridges and hips on roofs through out the UK and US is incredible, so many silly mistakes, such as in the video above not sealing the overlapping on the plain hips, or other videos where the mortar mix is totally wrong for the purpose. All these terrible errors make it clear that you have to eliminate as many stumbling blocks as possible. Make it easy and fool-proof by using our dry fixed / mechanically fixed clay ridge tiles. If you still want to mortar them in the do so but at least our clips and screws will keep the ridge on the roof and lawyers at bay. Our ridges and hips interlock with eachother therefore you dont need a ridge roll on most pitches. A single stainless steel screw, a clip and a washer do everything. You don't need someone on the ground to pass you the mortar because its not needed, you wont be wasting any mortar, sand cement, you wont need to move it in your van. Basically this saves you lots and lots of time, eliminates the risk of failures and you wont need to stock cement or sand. You'd be much better off using our ridge tile, very quick, easy and ( dare I say it ) fool proof. th-cam.com/video/NsLlUW1btAY/w-d-xo.html by Galex Slate and Stone www.galex.co.uk
