- I SMACKED THE VAN !
2 HUGE MIRRORS And a reversing camera just ain't enough for some people What a start to this weekend with a pranged van !
It was back to Thetford forest caravan and motorhome club site for a stop off on the way to a beautiful CL Site in Wymondham , Not far from Norwich , Norfolk , Just £20 for the night Cavick house farm was a lovely little site ( NO FACILITIES ) with a little gift shop on site selling Stationary , Cards , Cakes , and as many eggs as you can eat from a vending machine!
We had the BEST FISH N’ CHIPS to date , totally unexpected from a tiny chip shop with barely any signage , Highly recommend G.W Woodbines & Sons - We gave it a frenchie rating of 10/10 !!
So with a village close by , 25 min walk or 5 min bike ride from the site , & a beautiful abbey & old railway en route , this site was really convenient and one we will return too

Mike for a door stop get a squash ball and squeeze it in the top rail to stop the door where you want. We love watching your videos keep them coming 👍

Hi Mike and Kirsty, the Wymondham CL site looked lovely. Kirsty did great on the fish and chip run and didn't they look yum. Oh and the cakes look so tasty. Nice cafe and gift shop on site. Great video thank you for sharing x Julie and Tony x

Brilliant Vlog! This site is going on the must visit list. Forgot just how beautiful Wymondham is, chips looked great too. Gutted for you about the dent but once your man has worked is magic you’ll never know. Kirsty is a dab hand on the chip run but Mike you’ll have to work harder on the table set up 😂😂 table wrong way and NO PLATES!! Don’t think you’ll get any complaints on Kirsty’s Chippy music 👍 Top drawer. Helen & Dave 👍

I hate those speed bumps at Thetford , as you know we have to go over them quite often. Sorry about the neighbours at Thetford , hope we didn't disturb you when we set off early. We gave you mention in tonights video so hopefully we are forgiven 😂. Bad luck with the dent the Mike , it's a pain when that happens. I never tire of looking at those big Norfolk Skies. Thanks for another great CL option , we love Wymondham , best wishes Helen and Martin.

The dent, I have just pulled a dent out the door of my Kuga
It was easy. No special tools.
A standard hot glue gun
Pair of pliers
On a sunny day park your van to warm the metal up..
Dry clean area completely.
Apply glue with hot gun to dent cavity.
Allow glue to dry on the paint for 5 minutes.
Use pliers to grip glue and pull glue towards you.
Re apply a few times, I pulled my dent out . Worth a try.
It doesn't damage the paintwork.

Great vid as per usual you guys. Sorry to see the dent…just one those things I’m sure you’ll get sorted. The other tip I’ve heard and tried for the sliding door is a squash ball in the top runner - works well! Keep em coming you guys 👍

Try a tennis ball in front of bottom door runner works a treat for Ower van to old door we're ya need it 😉

Thetford site is always a safe and super bet . Bad luck crunching the van ,ah well it happens to most of us sometime. That CL was a lovely little find , well done Kirsty, also congratulations on your first fish n chip run and as you managed to get the best fish n chips ever you can perhaps do it again 🤬okay perhaps not 😘. hi eric yes kirsty did a great job on the chippy run although she does not want to do it again 😂 , it’s quite stressful actually , hoping it comes out right and the angles are ok etc , ( not filming the pavement the whole way 😂) it was a nice little site we liked it a lot there , poor van got dented but i’m sure it’s fixable , thanks again eric take care and stay safe

Another interesting video - thank you. I only live in Attleborough, about 9 miles from Wymondham, and although I have been to the Abbey was not aware of the CL or the fish and chip shop.

We have three chippies within one mile of our house, but none are very good! The best fish n' chips we have had were found in Bude, North Devon whilst on a week's stopover in the van.
Great vlog, as always and once again you found a cracking site. Can I ask how far it is from the town? It looks like a place that we'd enjoy.

hi rob yes a shame about the bump but hopefully fixable , yes that was the best fish n chips we’ve ever had , the site is tucked away but to walk into town would be about 25 mins i’d say and just a 5 min drive , really liked it there actually it was a pleasant place to be in

Great vid Mike. You may remember I asked your opinion of the Vantage and availability as I was downsizing from a 7.5 metre Burstner , needing to get down to 3500. !! Your experience with a similar situation we follow ,and although we couldn’t find a Vantage we have found a nearly new Devon Sapphire on a Sprinter intending to make our first tour around Suffolk and Norfolk so you have become our travel and site guide for this area. Intrigued on your latest vid by your fly screen , have you any info please. Hope to see you and Kirsty on your travels as we intend to start in Sept. Look out for a grey haired old b --ger driving a Devon and I’ll buy you Fish and Chips

I bought one of those door stop wedges for our IH, works well Mike. One piece of advice, Amazon sell a metal one, about &15. Once fitted, very discreet. Hope you get the dent taken out without too much expense.

Mate! Absolutely gutted about the van… I know what you’re like with bodywork care cos I’m the same… but that’s a dent master job easy enough at least it’s not on a seam. Site looked great too (CL) and the chips… Kirsty did well on the bike but I think she’s better at the table 😂 cheers both.

I know that dent would be annoying but the truth is it's nothing really a dent repair and you won't ever know it was there, I got really lucky once reversing our van, I reversed and for some reason never slowed down and hit Lidl so hard stuff must of fell off the shelves and it was all taken on our tow bar , if we lived over that way we would definitely go to some of the sites you vlog they look 10 out of 10 places, what silly duffer would complain about the chip shop music , good looking fish and chips, and I was one who strongly said Kirsty shouldn't do the chip shop run and the result of that was, no plates out and the table the wrong way round 😂😂😂😂it's not just me then, another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍
😂😂😂 cheers stephen , yeah so frustrating when we hit our vans , surprisingly easy to do though , kirsty wouldn’t have done it though of course only i could have ! and of course the table facing the wrong way and no plates out , cant do anything right 😂😂 but must say glad i wasn’t in lidl when you done your bit , imagine seeing a tow bar come through the wall 😂 the fish n chips was really nice and the original music will be returning!

Came past thetford today on way to hemsby hammered it down with rain all the way from Shropshire hopefully better weather after weekend.last time I went to Wyndham we went on the old train and looked around the church
yeah this weather is nuts , non stop all day ! we really enjoyed that little place , conveniently located 👍

Looks a brilliant site! After never being to this side of the country until we we went to Pinewoods we are looking to spending a few weeks touring Norfolk next year and this site looks perfect 👍

hi thanks for watching our videos, becoming members of the caravan and motorhome club site and camping and caravanning club will definitely help finding these little sites with their apps and paraphernalia they send you , However , you don’t have to be a member to stay in most of them , google maps and a simple “ camp sites” or just “camping” search , will bring them all up , our videos cover mostly norfolk but youtube is a great platform for searching these little sites providing other youtubers have covered them in your area or the areas you wish to stay , i will be back on the bike and the chippy music will remain the same as it has been since the beginning 😉😀👍
