The best thing about rooting for everyone in the top 4 to win is you always get the outcome you wanted. I love seeing Gustavo win because he shows genuine stokeness. Seeing Kelvin hit the half cab nose to tail on that particular obstacle got me fired up, but Joslin's back to back last tricks were out of this world. Skateboarding has literally become equivalent to video game levels of skill, it's unbelievable.
Yeah this one felt weird at first, the venue, the course, even the lineup to an extent... but it ended up being such a banger. Dope to see it end with an amazing podium too, some of the most fun to watch guys taking home trophies 🔥🔥🔥
@@CHIEF_420 stop hyping up this dude. bro literally does the same 2 ugly tricks every contest, and has been for years. doesnt even skate different stances.
@@sebastianaspheim i’ll never understand how people can call any technical skateboarding trick “ugly”. all these guys are rippers, doesn’t matter how their tricks look to you. i’m gonna take a guess and say you were rooting for joslin, a great skater btw. gustavo just happened to skate better this time around, don’t devalue his skills just because joslin didn’t.
This is one of the more exciting SLS contests I've seen, SOS Joslin is an absolute animal the bigger flip blew my mind mostly because it looked so easy for him, Gustavo is such a beast too and Braden just got so much respect for these dude's, the finals in Rio is gonna be one to remember
Can’t believe the 99% of the comments just talk about Gustavo and Chris. Braden did an amazing run, flow, great tricks, style… and a great best trick section. Dude, he’s rippin!
I skateboard in the 90’s and it’s crazy to see how far it has came. We spent years learning kick-flips and grinding curbs. The level of tricks these guys are doing is incredible…
Damn Props to Gustavo, but I wished so hard the win would go to Joslin. In the end, thanks to all these senders on the board. Great to watch, also thank u to the people who make this possible.
Congrats to Gustavo! He's definitely become one of my favs in the past couple years and certainly earned this one. Joslin, wow. How can anyone not be excited to see him back in SLS and skating that well? I'm so glad that the airmail tricks are finally getting some decent scores compared to prior events. If they keep giving relevant scores to big gaps like this, the Joslins and Girauds of the world might have a chance to shine through and provide some variety to trick choice by the skaters. Obviously the Nyjahs/Yutos are rail skaters, but both of them can send big if they see those tricks are what's scoring. The course was obviously love-hate. The really tech tricks on the smaller obstacles was great, but the course itself was so small, that it really crippled the potential in the lines. The tiny, highschool auditorium feeling crowd size made it feel like a completely different event from SLS' past. I'm crossing my fingers that that was because securing a venue during COVID was restricting, and not because of budget issues or other. I'm excited for the Super Crown! I hope everyone who's out sick or injured is back and ready to kill it!
Gustavo congrats, so stocked to see you on a podium again, send you big love bro ❤ Joslin is “the machine without a roof” That’s how SLS should looks like, thank you guys 🙏🏽

Of all the spots in Las Vegas to choose from you pick a place that requires a compacted course and doesn't allow for spectators at all during one of the best times of year weather wise in Las Vegas. I hope should SLS grace us with another tour stop in the future that one of the many, and I do mean MANY, venues are picked where the course can be spread out for the best lines and there's plenty of space for people to come watch live because this is ridiculous sitting here knowing that this could have been somewhere, anywhere else today that would have been much better for both the competitors and spectators. I'm just sitting shaking my head realizing that whoever chose this place completely failed. Nothing against the UFC either, they do a lot for Las Vegas and have built themselves a state of the art facility for the UFC, not SLS.
This was a heater at the end. Gustavo did well and deserved the 1st place but, for me Joslin was overall my favorite this time around. Man he was soooo butter and even his street line section wtih all the grinds was on point.
Adding my Joslin hype comment to the pile, what a well deserved podium for everyone. Felt like everyone was under-scored a bit, maybe just by the nature of the smaller course... but an incredible final regardless. Can’t wait for the Super Crown!

Everyone loves joslin. Such a humble dude and he always just goes for it. Congrats on his 2nd place finish! And happy to see Gustavo take the victory. That dude is beyond calculated with his tricks. Makes no sense!
Love Joslin, my second favorite modern skater after Shane, and just seems like a genuinely good dude and a good dad too. Love to him, and honestly love to all the skaters competing. All of them seem like good dudes.
Love to see Hoban in first 3.Joslin is the beast,I was literally crying when he landed the biggerspin flip.. and I am wearing 5. pair of his Joslin 1,the best shoe!!!Gustavo deserved it and I am so happy for him :)
Man, was nice seeing Gustavo win, he's so sick. Also good to see Joslin on point this contest. Will be interesting to see how things shake out once Yuto and Nyjah are back.
@@sebastianaspheim sadly, part of SLS is playing the judging game. It hurts Joslin most the time bc they favor rail/hubba tricks over huge set bangers. Was nice to see him place well, that bigger flip was dirty.
Love seeing Joslin on form
Dude same, still waiting for him to take that win
Joslins run was as good if not better than Hoban, the judges don’t reward non rail tricks well enough. Most bullshit thing about streetleague
YESS
That bigger flip! Wow!
Yes!!! Last year was really not good for him, im glad to see he's back :)
Stoked to see Joslin doing well
