- Switzerland has sent out invitations to 160 delegations for a peace summit on the Ukraine war. However, Russia has not been invited to the high-level conference scheduled for June 15-16. Ukrainian President Zelensky said it was the “first real chance for restoration of peace”. Meanwhile, the Kremlin said that peace talks without Russia are “pointless”. I think these conferences are just a way for our politicians and diplomats to travel and live in expensive hotels and eat fancy meals at the expense of their countries' citizens. I bet they would stop holding these useless conferences if they had to pay their own way and expenses!

In fact inviting warring parties is not necessary. Ukrain should also not be invited. Rest of the world can have debate on if ever peace is possible. Sending hundred of billions of dollars in modern weaponry and holding peace conferences does not display any honest intentions. Russias know that only way forward is the kind of brutal war going on in the battlefields. Most of the participants don’t matter. The tragedy is building up every single day. The truth is US + Europeans are starkly fighting this war against Russia and allies. They might stop Russian advances for coming six months but the danger is the battlefields might spread to more European countries. This nasty war for narrow gains is heading towards a nuclear clash and millions of peaceful innocent citizens and children may be incinerated. Already poor Ukrain has suffered horrible death and destruction. STOP PLEASE STOP.
