If there wasnt these video I would never assemble my gx shifter, he is the only guy who has shown how to do it easy and he has shown all the steps, tnx man! You are my savior🍻
Thanks for saving me from my own stupidity. What was intended to be a 10 minute job to replace the index cable ended taking over 3 hours because I made the stupid mistake of removing the wrong hatch. I can't believe why manufacturers makes these such a pain in the ass to reassemble.
Dude... thanks. After watching this, I also noted how the GX 11 you got, is exactly the same construction as the XX1 Eagle I have. The only difference is the color of the plastic part inside and the trigger lever which can be tuned in XX1. Cheers 🍻
Hey man thank you so much, I am one of those guys, my problem is the only part that isn't dismantled in your super explained video the pieces in the big leverage, one spring and three more pieces, that have no clue how to put all together. Anyway thank so much for the video
My shifter just stopped shifting and seemed to fall apart inside. Somewhere in there is a very thin spring that has a triangular loop at one end a is bent at right angles at the other. I have no idea where it came from so can't figure out how to put it back in. Otherwise good video.
Thank you! I have SRAM X-4 (8speed) and X-4/X-3 (3speed) shifters. Have you concluded if it is possible to move 8speed to the left and 3speed to the wright, by switching some components inside? Different model, but could be similar in general architecture.
I tried myself, it can't be done, because the 3speed and 8speed panels are different in width. If you remove the red panels indicators, may be done. You only have to exchange the 3/8 teeth disks inside.
I spent 4 hours trying to coil the spring and I still haven’t finished I’m not exaggerating and I nearly broke my knuckle punching a wall. All an all great vid tho Edit: even tho idk if it’s even gonna work for me because I’m in capable of coiling the mf spring

Just want to say that I did exactly this, and I thought this video was both hilarious and extremely helpful. I have an XO 11 speed.

Hello to you. Pls be kind and tell me why the 11 click is not noise? My sifter at 11 clicks/speed is very short and weak. I have XX1 Sram.

This would have been helpful :) I made a video on how to complete the thumb unit. You can use it as reference.
Thanks boss! ;)
