Stop thinking of the Alcoholic as the "enemy." We already HATE ourselves for the harm we've caused, and all the ways we can't see how we've sabotaged our precious lives. On paper, it's EASY to assume that we haven't loved you enough to make positive change. But have YOU ever tried to change? It's practically impossible. Which is why we need a Higher Power. We have found that it's easiest to do this thru the ongoing PRACTICE of the 12 steps. We recommend that YOU do the same, although we understand it might not seem fair.
