What a nice 8 hour nap, I wonder what the comments on the new Hobo Maya video are oh that's a lot of narumayo/feynick Fun Fact: I never even considered the idea of that scene being genuinely shippy in nature. Like, I definitely wrote Phoenix and Maya talking about the assumptions they get, and when I wrote the "That might be a good distraction right now" line, I jokingly thought to myself like "Lol what if she got TOO into distracting herself and started pretending she actually was Phoenix's girlfriend" but I never considered the idea that yeah Maya taking Phoenix's last name will naturally be a ship tease. Oops.
Itd be cool if she also got a second name, like "Maya Mia Wright"? Like, idk, i feel like maya changing her last name would be like disconnecting from mia in a way. Im not sure.
That's a very valid point, and I wish I had thought to bring that up in the video. I'd imagine Maya already struggled with that internally before she ever decided to change her last name though. Maybe that's why she never considered what she would actually be changing it too, she got too caught up trying to convince herself that it wouldn't hurt Mia.
