Hal maybe do some homework on your fellow guest. I know you don’t bow hunt or hunt out in Midwest much but Dan is one of the biggest names in hunting at the moment from his videos, podcasts, treestand company and hunting schools. He’s you but from the Midwest.
I got a feeling these guys would get a kick out of the 400 lb slob buck. As they hunt for weight. The similarity between these 2 outfits, both make gear to help their style. Both kill big deer. Personally i think dan and lannie would get along like brothers
Wisconsin hunter here , and it sounds like 180 degrees different than out east in Maine ....We are virtually 100% private and relatively small tracts . Some public lands in farm country but don't waste your time basically . Its takes cooperation between neighboring properties to leave the young bucks walk and most do but still some ignorant backwards ppl that gotta shoot every buck they see . The big woods of northern Wisconsin is mostly open to the public either national or state forest or paper company lands ... this may be similar to the hunting tactics of the North East , but many wolves there so quite low deer population there . I'm fortunate to have A farm in Waupaca county so I've got good quality hunting 🦌 .....but ive earned it too
