I could not find a couple of the solos that were in this video, so I had to play them myself. I am not by any means experienced, so I apologize for sloppiness :)

In fairness, I’d say the same thing about a lot of Dave Mustaine’s isolated tracks in Megadeth songs. Killing is My Business in particular

Whats funny is from 15 seconds I didnt know, but I continued the solo in my head and the other instruments, and I would come up with the answer.
It is also amusing that even if you didnt know song, you could accurately guess which album based on sound alone
3rd: I love Tally's instrumentals, but Orion hits so differently. Its my favorite one

Dude the same, i stopped and hummend the end of the solo and riffs afterwards perfectly to eventually gues the song. Insane!

Kerry's solo's don't sound like someone shitting themselves quicker than they can stuff down taco bell.
I guess all you have to do is listen to too much Metallica. Then you will recognize every solo even the wah wah ones.

God kirk's lead tone especially on justice just sounds so crispy, so satisfying, so wet - probably the reverb and delay together with some good treble boost

Sad But True was the one I got the fastest tho, just from the very first bend/chord/whatever that is. Extremely recognizable. The Justice ones are quite recognizable too. I agree with fade and thing tho lol

The Orion part isn’t a solo, that’s just riffs in the harmony section. It does sound beautiful though
In addition to that slide guitar, Orion has a couple of really cool solos too.

Honestly frustrates the hell out of me since I knew nearly every solo on here but I just couldn’t remember what damn song it was on for most of them.
I guessed only 4: "Sad but true", "Fade to black", "Orion" and "The memory remains". Also I guessed "St. Anger" joke 😂

I got 0. My stupid brain kept thinking all the solos were from the Ride The Lightning album for some reason. I'm not even a big fan of that album (yeah, I'm not overkeen on the first four albums aside from a few songs, but I adore Black onwards. I'm not a close-minded elitist). I should've got a couple of these just off the fact that I listen to them so much, but no. How I didn't recognise The Memory Remains, I'll never know... And I have absolutely no excuse for not getting Sad But True. One of my favourite songs...
Actually, no. I got Fade To Black, but I went and bloody second-guessed myself. I kept thinking every solo was Fight Fire With Fire for some reason, and when FTB came up I guessed it but thought I was wrong for some reason and went with FFWF again.
So guessing songs from the solo is evidently not my strong point (I would've got a couple if Phantom Lord and Unforgiven III were in here, they're my two favourite Metallica songs). That or I need to try it with other bands. I reckon I could do a lot better if it was Iron Maiden solos.

If there was ever a video to prove the point that most solos from the mid-90s on are mostly completely forgettable, this one proved it. Forget about the solos from the last 2 albums. Just sloppily hit a bunch of notes with know style or reason. It’s closer to slayers nonsensical solos but at least with slayer you expect them to be nonsense.
I was trying to play the solo at double speed in my head to get to the main riff, but because it was playing in the video I wasn't able to make myself speed it up in my head because it kept syncing to the video

I never realised how "Mustaine like" it's the wiplash's solo at least the beginnig of it.
As a rhythm guitar player, it would have been easier to figure out the solo if Het’s riff was playing underneath Kirk’s solo.
