The most common RO3 issue, is actually an electrical contact issue, and you loose the trip meter and clock every time it happens. It could be the contacts to the battery that is inside of the speedometer unit itself, or the contacts on one of the wires that connects the speedometer unit to the harness. Some people have had luck shimming the speedometer battery.
Thanks for making the video. I was all set to replace my countershaft seal on a 200 SX engine but noticed it was leaking from the shift seal. Pretty easy. NO O-rings like the CS seal.
Maintenance with my Dad will be a common segment we have every week, so there is will be lots more coming. Look out for us working on the carb and suspension on the 150, and an electrical issue on the 350. Plus we have a 250 that just stopped running last week we haven’t even diagnosed yet. Lots of upcoming work!
To find the seal number for your bike go to Motorsport.com put in your bike and it will give you a fische. To prevent this from becoming a recurring problem do all your shifting while the bike is moving because they shift easier while moving. When at a stop rock the bike back and forth when shifting.
I have this problem after only around 100 miles on a new bike don't know if it's just me and if I've been too rough with it or if it's because it's a cheap chinese bike
