Wales doesnt really have devolved rail since all the physical rail is managed by network rail, which is based in England. To my annoyance as I wanted to contact the senedd about investing more in rail infrastrucutre, since I might have gotten a response unlike my MP. 😶

In some aspects i recon Glasgow had the best PTE then Tyne and Wear and then South Yorkshire

If only Glasgow/ Strathclyde ran the buses the way Lothian around Edinburgh does or like TFL, it would be a powerhouse.

Gareth, do we know if they intend to nationalise the rolling stock leasing companies or just the operators?

Pretty sure Gareth showed us some diagrams a while ago where he displayed all the involved agents both currently, according to the nationalisation plan under conservatives, and the plan under labour which is pretty identical, and none of them planned to remove ROSCOs out of the picture.
In all fairness, it would be financially difficult in the short term, but I'd love to see it become a goal in the long term.

I much prefer the use of first names because using surname only implies that the person is no more than their bloodline.
My opinion is if you're going to use a surname you should use the whole name (titles can also get in the bin, esp Britain's ridiculous arm length list)

A bit frustrating that you said Waterstones aren't selling the book, I want to just find it in a shop and buy it like we used to before online shopping was a thing. Luckily plenty of independents around London.
As for the video, Louise Haigh going was bullshit and a bit pathetic really, not her fault what happened. I really hate how the modern world seems to just dig up dirt on people and then act like it's all a big deal, even if it's from ages ago. What kind of world are we when we are happy to punish people over little mistakes, which are common when you are younger or dealing with a stressful situation. And in this case, it really was a big nothing. Even if she did steal a phone, that is nothing to what some of our politicians get up to and they never had to resign. But anyway, I don't think much major will change, probably just a slower pace which is annoying as our buses and trains need to be fixed yesterday. A long term strategy is desperately needed. Making those poor fuckers who have no choice but to be cramped on Crosscountry wait until at least late 2027 is really unfair. Also once GBR is set up properly, the TOCs need to be restructured and integrated together. Stuff like ticket reform can't really happen if it's still the same 14 separate companies when all we need is Intercity, Regional Railways and devolved PTE bodies like the future Bee Network Trains. I just hope the upcoming devolution white paper links local government and transport (and housing/ planning) together, a lot of good could be done there especially if you tie the boundaries to the built up areas and commuter patterns, which even in London isn't the case right now.
